For me I drink lots of water and limit how much I drink in one setting. Definately glad you bring up how it affects others. No one wants to remember you as drunk all the time. 👍🏻

It’s all about balance Jared. You can say that about most things in life too. Thanks for watching g

I've thought about this often. We all love bourbon here, but fundamentally it is not conducive to health. Glad to see some on whiskeytube discussing this

Thanks bud. I debated it for a while as it’s seen as taboo in our circles. Let’s be real it’s an important topic.

I appreciate your perspective on this Patrick. I think that everyone has their own system of checks and balances as you mentioned. I respect that you did not try to say that your method is the best method. The best method is what works for each person. For me, I drink very infrequently. I have maybe a glass or two per week, and I make sure to only drink on the happy days. If I am down in the dumps after a trash day, I don't let myself drink. If I am happy and today was a good day, I'll let myself have a glass. I also tend to buy more expensive bottles rather than lower shelf bottles, and because I hate spending money I drink less so I can have the bottles for longer. Everyone has their own system. Cheers Patrick!

Thanks for watching IPad. This was a video for folks who had commented about how I manage my drinking with a whiskey RUclips channel but I like your recommendations. Maybe I should stop buying the cheap stuff haha

Big respect for talking in this subject. When you said you take a month off I was like that’s exactly what I try to do. I think it’s important to remind yourself you have control. As with most substances it’s easy to lose control. Thanks Patrick.

Thanks West Ham. I think I may have to incorporate the month off into the channel.

The chrome dome look is taking some getting used to for me. The hair looked fine to me. Regarding the topic I know if I’m feeling a slight buzz I gotta stop for the night. I can’t recover like I did when I was younger. Drink lots of water and I maybe will take a week or two off from drinking.

I do a couple things to help with my overconsumption and overbuying. I take off all of February as a dry month and then I do a dry week every month. I really think that helps me out a lot. Cheers

I want to believe I have full control over my alcohol, but I find sometimes I’ll aim to have one or two pours and before I know I’m 5 in. I probably need to address that. Another great video and talking about a subject no one else is discussing. Love the content.

A good measure: if you change your behavior or what you accomplish today because of what you drank yesterday, then it’s time to change your alcohol intake.

I only drink on the weekends. 2 days on, 5 days off. Whiskey gets it done quickly compared to beer. 2-3 drinks and I’m tipsy but can function, even hit the gym the next day as Sunday is a gym day.
Miller Lie? That beer sucks imo!

I’ve gone to mini glens if I’m by myself and keep it to three drinks. And I’m not even putting a half once per pour. I try and mix it up from rye to bourbon but sometimes it’s all rye or bourbon. Only keep 5-6 bottles open at a time and the older I get the more my selection is pretty basic I’ve never been a camper or a allocated hunter if I see a bottle I’m interested in and it’s not overpriced I’ll get it if I don’t get something it wasn’t meant to be. I know many channels shoot many episodes on certain days and try to keep blinds to 4-6 per episode which is still a good bit of alcohol but staying hydrated and not doing heavy pours is key. Again it’s a personal decision and hopefully your family monitoring your intake if one gets overzealous and doesn’t realize they may have a problem it can get out of hand if you aren’t careful. Enjoy!!

Dry weeks and months are super important. Your point #4 is the most important. Respect your family and friends (and the general public). Don't be a tool.

Good idea to quit drinking so you are sober when going to sleep. Also drinking more straight or just water added, mixed drinks might do more damage from all the extra sugar. Try different bottles, to see what ones generally make you feel better during drinking and the next morning.
