I had to rewind it a couple of times because Sheri's stunning beauty was messing with my hearing! Now, that I got pass that I have learned much! Thanks Sheri! :)
Do you have a tutorial on how to remove leaf that has stuck around your embellishment.? Can I paint over my hold leaf and try again? What about staining to knock down some of the brightness? Can I use a wax stain?
Thank you for this video. I'm quite new to gold leaf. I'm considering covering a little resin bead in gold leaf to use as jewelry. Probably an earring considering it gets less friction. My question is Would it be a dumb idea to encase the gold leaf in a thin layer of resin after for protection after I let it dry for a day or will that not end well? 😂
Very helpful, thank you.👍😊 I wondered if you by chance you ever used resin over the top of the leafing and different gles used for process? Just wondering if you have, and if you happened to notice any difference qith the glues used, like of the resin was affected differently? Just curious, as I will be using a UV resin sealer as a top coat. Any info would be appreciated.
Thank you for this helpful video! ♥️ When I use the imitation leaf with glue on a resin wallart I have gold leaf everywhere not just where the glue is. I can not brush it away. It sticks everywhere and it’s hard to remove. Do you have tips for me? 🙏🏼♥️
Can I put gold leafi g on a table that has been gold leafed with guilding in a jR. You just brush it on. I would like to do real gold leaf over the gold paste. Do I have to sand the table or can I just apply over the table where it hss worn off.
Hi thanks for explaining so well about applying the gold leafs. I just recently got some leafs and I planning to use in rock mandala work. What glue would you recommend to use. I dont think rock is porous. Would the be the oil base glue one? Thanks for any tip.
Hey Sheri! I have a question! If I was to use rose gold imitation leaf on a candle. What would be the best way to prevent it from oxidising? Love the vids! Keep up the great work :)
Hi Sheri... thank you for your video! I was wondering if a sealer is needed after the leaf is applied? Also, Do you know what is the estimated timeframe for tarnishing for imitation gold leaf if applied to jewelry pieces that will be worn on a daily basis? Than you
Is it possible to gold leaf my bathroom countertop? It’s slick and has a shell imprint in the middle that is the sink. If I maybe sanded it and then did the oil base glue … gold leaf it then apply the top?
Sheri. For the oil based gilding glue, are there precautions when you need to use when going over top with epoxy? Will the oil based glue repel the epoxy?
Typing this for anyone else who was looking for it, like I was, at 6:46 she shows the can up close, It's called Alphasyze Quick Dry Gilding Size, from Alpha 6 Corporation.
One question, are you fake Chinese gold leaves, what happens if you breathe in those small parts that come out in the air, are they dangerous? Do I need a face mask? Greetings. I hope you can answer good day. And the water-based glues but, for example, do you need to wear gloves? Greetings
omg THANK YOU. It is so rare to get a comprehensive overview like this that is also concise and genuinely helpful. Really appreciate it

Your video answered all of my questions as someone who has minimal experience with metal leafing. Thanks for making this video!

My gold leaf always turns green why?
Me too 😮
Seal it.
it's brass. coat it while new, fresh and golden. moisture in the air turns brass green
it's so messy
That’s what makes it fun.
So distracted by your perfect lips. thanks for your information!
