man, i really miss zach being in really good weightlifting shape. but i just remember a clip of him talking about what he was doing to become that strong, just straight up eating sleeping and breathing weightlifting. but bro is just having fun, making music, and still making really good content. good to see him back with mr.dozer.

i think the point on expecting clean and jerk to go up depending on squat is valid, but personally i'm a very efficient lifter and usually in my training i max my front squat and then have the goal to clean and jerk that squat within a few months. i've done that about thee times now for 100kg, 105kg and 115kg over about 10 months. 130 next and i find this way of goal setting very motivating and satisfying.
Bruh I hit my head on the way down from overhead practicing the snatch. Thank god I’m a beginner and there was only ten pounds on the sides. I was so fucking embarrassed after, that I did some cardio and left the gym😭
There's a Ukranian weightlifting coach in Houston, Andrii Hentosh who it seems like he has his athletes doing low hang snatches every training session.
IDK Id argue that there isn't a single national weightlifter with low squat numbers. So by default the direct translation is high squat numbers "can" or "have the potential", at least, for higher snatch and C&J numbers. While low squat numbers will in ALL cases = low numbers in the lifts. For example if my front squat is 180kg, there's no way in hell I can clean 190kg. (maybe some freakish example of some guy with a massive power clean)
