    With Hololive you get two types of fans, one will absolute loose their shit and cry of happiness if is noticed by a Hololive member, the other type, like this guy, will treat them as casual friends, even teasing them. Is proof of how integrated has become Hololive in the life of many. That was the theme for the 2023 advertising campaign officially named "The New Everyday Life is Right Beside You."

      I think both have the same meaning, it was the first thing that popped up in my mind so I went with that, thanks for the suggestion!

    • @cyanova
      @cyanova 9 месяцев назад +55

      @@yuhuiTLthe random player was alerting La+ of an enemy behind her, so using 'behind you' in this context is more appropriate, as it brings La+'s attention to the direction behind her, whereas 'your back' can mean there's something on her in-game character's back, which is not what the random player meant

      @@an_Owletteyeah that's pretty much what I thought too, both translations are fine it's just a choice

    • @cyanova
      @cyanova 9 месяцев назад +6

      @@an_Owlette yes, I agree, but instead of 'watch your back', which is self-explanatory enough, the clipper used just 'your back', which can leave some viewers guessing, 'what's wrong with her(La+) back?'. Adding or leaving out a word can change/lead to other meanings. To me, 'behind you' is more straightforward. If the clipper had used 'watch your back' I'd have no issue with it.

    • @pavlomalchenko3897
      @pavlomalchenko3897 9 месяцев назад +63

      La+ often says smth like "Heed my call", and a proper answer for her audience is "Yes My Dark". So basically, you have YMD as answer and it's close to Yamada, that's why La+ often teased with "Yamada" answer. You can check tons of videos with this meme.

      @halfandhalf3386 9 месяцев назад +8

      during her debut she did her signature fan call/greeting which was "Heed my call" and the proper answer by the fans for that was intended to be "Yes My Dark" YMD abbreviated, but holofans being the comedians they are started saying "Yamada!" as a joke, Yamada is a very common name so it would be the same as like calling her John or something and the joke kind of stuck, if you look up 'Laplus Yamada' there should be a ton of videos revolving around it
