Wonderful! I went to Florence in 1983. I never wanted to leave, it is a place full of art and beauty. Lorenzo's spirit is still there. I saw many young men who resembled men shown in the paintings of Botticelli. You did a great job. In your depiction he looks a little like Deniro.

You should also consider doing Simonetta Vespuci the muse of artist Sandro botecelli- she stared in many of his paintings like Venus and Mars and The birth of Venus.
She was upholded to be the most beautiful woman in italy during the Renaissance era. She was also famously theorized to be Giulios lover

A brilliant “portrait”in time 500+ yrs ago to prominent Medici family and the intricate ins and outs of a piece of their history. I’m guessing it’s extremely difficult to choose what exactly it is that you’re going to focus on. Brilliant job. I learned so much in 25minutes. Amazing how many of the greats were in Florence during this period. Also, the devious conduct and motives of the Catholic Church throughout history never fails to make me shiver. Andre, great fact finding and narration. Becca, a smooth transition with both Lorenzo’s and Giuliano’s portraits. Absolute perfection, both of you. ❤ RNS - brings me joy each and every time.

I've always found the Medici's fascinating. Lorenzo's passion for the arts, etc, was responsible for the nurturing of Michaelangelo...the world still revels in Lorenzo's brilliance, and the stunning works of Michaelangelo.
Any chance you'll do a video on Michaelangelo Buonnaroti?
On another note, these, IMHO, are the finest recreations you've done!

All i have really ever known about the Medici family was from reading, many years ago, Irving Stone's biographical novel The Agony and The Ecstasy about Michaelangelo Buonarroti. Even then their power was absolute.
The horrible misuse of the people and power of Pope Siso was sickening. Thank you for all the work and careful research that you put into these wonderful videos. There is nothing else to compare.

I recommend to watch the Netflix series The Medici. Although Lorenzo and Giuliano are played by really handsome actors with little resemblance to how they looked in reality, the story has a lot of truth and this documentary helps me to understand even more the complex and amazing story of Florence at that time. I was lucky to visit this beautiful city a couple of weeks ago and to see Boticelli's Venus and the Dome and to visit the Medici's home moved me beyond words.

Now I want to see re-creations of how Simonetta Vespucci and Clarice Orsino may have looked like including modern recreations. I've also realized that Lorenzo has many notable descendants who have become rulers of several countries in Europe including Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium etc. His most famous royal descendants include Catherine de Medici, King Louis XIV, King Louis XV, King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, King Charles I, King James II, Henrietta Maria. Later royals like Princess Diana, Sarah Ferguson, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Prince Henry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie. Even Princess Margaret's granddaughter Margarita Armstrong Jones is also a Medici from her mum's side. Modern stars like Cressida Bonas, Isabella Calthorpe, Kit Harington, Kitty Spencer including Brooke Shields. Even the current royals from Belgium, Spain, Britain are descended from Lorenzo after more than 500 years. The last king of Italy was also his descendant. His line of descent has persisted even after more than 500 years.
I wonder if you could ask Lorenzo and Clarice who their top three favourite and least favourite male and female descendants are, who would they choose? Louis XIV would probably be one of Lorenzo's top picks.
