Wow! The way you always modernize men. They look so handsome 👍 I am sure you do a good job on women, but being a woman I would notice the features on men better.
Wonderful! I went to Florence in 1983. I never wanted to leave, it is a place full of art and beauty. Lorenzo's spirit is still there. I saw many young men who resembled men shown in the paintings of Botticelli. You did a great job. In your depiction he looks a little like Deniro.
You should also consider doing Simonetta Vespuci the muse of artist Sandro botecelli- she stared in many of his paintings like Venus and Mars and The birth of Venus. She was upholded to be the most beautiful woman in italy during the Renaissance era. She was also famously theorized to be Giulios lover
I've always found the Medici's fascinating. Lorenzo's passion for the arts, etc, was responsible for the nurturing of Michaelangelo...the world still revels in Lorenzo's brilliance, and the stunning works of Michaelangelo. Any chance you'll do a video on Michaelangelo Buonnaroti? On another note, these, IMHO, are the finest recreations you've done!
All i have really ever known about the Medici family was from reading, many years ago, Irving Stone's biographical novel The Agony and The Ecstasy about Michaelangelo Buonarroti. Even then their power was absolute. The horrible misuse of the people and power of Pope Siso was sickening. Thank you for all the work and careful research that you put into these wonderful videos. There is nothing else to compare. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fascinating. I never gave the Medicis a second thought, and now I know their impact on history. Thank you for this wonderful channel. (And the segue into BEAM was quite clever. )
We could sure do with some de Medici medicine in the world right now! "A celebration of human potential and achievement, and the importance of intellect, morality, and the arts". Exactly. Il Magnifico. What a story!
Lorenzo was a great man, not many men in history put their country before their own pleasure, but he did, he made Florence a powerful place in Europe!❤
A brilliant “portrait”in time 500+ yrs ago to prominent Medici family and the intricate ins and outs of a piece of their history. I’m guessing it’s extremely difficult to choose what exactly it is that you’re going to focus on. Brilliant job. I learned so much in 25minutes. Amazing how many of the greats were in Florence during this period. Also, the devious conduct and motives of the Catholic Church throughout history never fails to make me shiver. Andre, great fact finding and narration. Becca, a smooth transition with both Lorenzo’s and Giuliano’s portraits. Absolute perfection, both of you. ❤ RNS - brings me joy each and every time.
I watch all your videos from Italy, I'm honoured you choose Lorenzo and Giuliano de' Medici this time. Love your way to explain history and take it to life
Hi guys I found your channel a few months ago and absolutely love it and have watched almost every story, the way you tell the stories of historical figures and recreate their likeness is incredibly informative and an absolute pleasure to watch, I find nit only do I learn but truly enjoy the journeys you take me on back in time, I look forward to many more videos all the best Mary in Australia 😊
Thank you so much for the detailed informations about their lives. I knew Lorenzo as a patron of art but didn't know of his political skills. And thank you for bringing them back to life: looking at their smiling faces brought tears to my eyes!
Absolutely fascinating. Netflix has a three season series on the Medicis and it is excellent. A virtual history lesson. The beauty of Florence and its surrounding cities were the backdrop for the series. Very interesting to see how AI recreates what these two men might have looked like.
When you gave a hint to your next video, our guess of a Medici was correct. We just guessed it was Catherine. That was another great video and your voice is just as soothing. Also the recreations were excellent.
Absolutely wonderful history lesson and facial re-creations. so glad I discovered your series. Thank you so much! We owe so much to Lorenzo di Medici for the gem that is Florence and his sponsorship of a major milestone of mankind----the Renaissance.
Great storytelling and recreations. It's funny but based on your recreations, I think Lorenzo is the better looking one! Giuliano is a little too pretty for my tastes, lol. Lorenzo is such an inspiration. How tragic that the world didn't really get to see what Giuliano had to offer.
Omg! So excited about this one one Lorenzo de’ Medici!!! I love learning about the Medici family. Saving this one for later when I have my wine & cake!
I recommend to watch the Netflix series The Medici. Although Lorenzo and Giuliano are played by really handsome actors with little resemblance to how they looked in reality, the story has a lot of truth and this documentary helps me to understand even more the complex and amazing story of Florence at that time. I was lucky to visit this beautiful city a couple of weeks ago and to see Boticelli's Venus and the Dome and to visit the Medici's home moved me beyond words.
I already knew or heard about The Medici family because I played Assassin’s Creed 2. You brought back to life what they really looked like than the video game depicted. That’s was amazing recreation of their faces of the most powerful person in Florence in 15th Century
I’ve been sharing your work for a couple years now on my TikTok and i have been a big fan of the medici dynasty for years. I’ve been waiting for the Medici’s to make an appearance. I’m so freaking happy. Thank you ❤ they both look incredible! Excited to share this one
I literally screamed after I saw u had posted cuz I was so excited ur vid was amazing and never disappointed looking forward to see what else u have in store for us!!!
They put so much efforts into leaving behind a legacy, and it worked. You cannot possibly study western arts without hearing their names. Rich people nowadays would be forgotten in less than century by younger generations.
The re-creations look great, and I have always wanted to learn more about the Medicis. Now that I have, I hope to learn even more! What a great story! Thank you!
As with so many others, I find the history and recreations utterly fascinating. But I also really like the orchestrations that accompany each of your videos. Thank you!
Fascinating history. We are going to Florence in two weeks. I am mesmerized by their impact on art and culture of that gorgeous city. Thank you for bringing them to life for me!
This is one of the best educational history videos I have seen. It touched my heart and the unexpected recreations at the end were simply and incredible gift. Than you so much and congratulations for a fantastic production ❤❤❤
Now I want to see re-creations of how Simonetta Vespucci and Clarice Orsino may have looked like including modern recreations. I've also realized that Lorenzo has many notable descendants who have become rulers of several countries in Europe including Britain, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Belgium etc. His most famous royal descendants include Catherine de Medici, King Louis XIV, King Louis XV, King Louis XVI, Marie Antoinette, King Charles I, King James II, Henrietta Maria. Later royals like Princess Diana, Sarah Ferguson, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, Prince Henry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie. Even Princess Margaret's granddaughter Margarita Armstrong Jones is also a Medici from her mum's side. Modern stars like Cressida Bonas, Isabella Calthorpe, Kit Harington, Kitty Spencer including Brooke Shields. Even the current royals from Belgium, Spain, Britain are descended from Lorenzo after more than 500 years. The last king of Italy was also his descendant. His line of descent has persisted even after more than 500 years. I wonder if you could ask Lorenzo and Clarice who their top three favourite and least favourite male and female descendants are, who would they choose? Louis XIV would probably be one of Lorenzo's top picks.
Thanks for that bit of history, I knew some of it from watching there series that was done. But this by far was a true look into the past. They were right, his brother was very handsome. Cant wait till you next look back into history past.
Didn't a daughter of their family marry into the royal family of France? The mother in law of Mary Stuart, queen of Scots? My brain isnt at full power-it's coming up on 3 am. Both men were fascinating, charismatic in the extreme!
I love your channel! Thank you for creating this content and taking the time to teach your audience about history in a way that’s never been done before! It’s absolutely beautiful! You have a new subscriber!
Fantastic program it has been fantastic to see how the Medici would look and how they would look today thank you for the information of their... Unfortunately we see the programs of Medici and the story they have changed it so much it is sad to change history to fit in a film
This isn't entirely accurate: Giuliano de Medici was murdered DURING Easter mass, at least according to my history class some years ago when I was majoring in medieval history. Giuliano was stabbed nineteen times, including the first blow to the head, during the Elevation, in the midst of Easter high mass. This also contributed to the reaction to of the Florentine people as murder might be accepted, or understood, but to murder a man by stabbing him in the back of the head while he bowed at the most sacred part of the Mass on Easter? That upsets the populace, especially when it's Giuliano who was very popular.
The recreations of Lorenzo and Giuliano at the end were really cool. It was kind of hard to listen to the narrator because his phrasing was so strange, but the doc was interesting.

Out of curiosity I used to come for the recreations, but now I enjoy the history lessons just as much
Same! v
Same lmao, same with tasting history, use to just skip to the recipe and taste testing, now I LOVE the history parts even more
Love the history lesson!

So very true ,I couldn’t say it better
They're both very handsome, especially in the modern versions.

I found Lorenzo to be the most fascinating man in history when young and nothing has changed in my 76 years
Italian stallions ❤
Giuliano looks like my cousin….Lorenzo would be an action movie hero today…..❤
What a sweet comment.
In his own way, Lorenzo is deeply handsome; and completely charismatic, even through a screen.
I couldn't agree more ❤
I've always found the Medici's fascinating. Lorenzo's passion for the arts, etc, was responsible for the nurturing of Michaelangelo...the world still revels in Lorenzo's brilliance, and the stunning works of Michaelangelo.

I get so excited when I see a new video of yours 😭😭😭
That is so nice! Thank you!
yesss
I just had the exact same thought when it popped up in my feed. My brain said Woohoo ❤
Me too!
All i have really ever known about the Medici family was from reading, many years ago, Irving Stone's biographical novel The Agony and The Ecstasy about Michaelangelo Buonarroti. Even then their power was absolute.

Thank you as always!!
It astonishes me how your art work seems to bring actual life to the eyes and then the faces of your subjects!!!
I found this fascinating. Becca you a very talented! Both Lorenzo & Giuliano were handsome especially with their beautiful smiles!
We could sure do with some de Medici medicine in the world right now! "A celebration of human potential and achievement, and the importance of intellect, morality, and the arts". Exactly. Il Magnifico. What a story!

Netflix is the absolute worst place to come in order to learn about the Medici.
Two super stars. They would be just as popular today. ❤❤
Gorgeous. Thank you so much for taking us back in time. Amazing ♥
You never disappoint, as usual a visually informative narrative. Thank you 😊
When you gave a hint to your next video, our guess of a Medici was correct. We just guessed it was Catherine. That was another great video and your voice is just as soothing. Also the recreations were excellent.
Wow! Excellent as always!

Great videos. As a musician I would love to see more composer related videos. I have watched the great job you did with Mozart.
Maybe someone from the baroque or early classical period.
Vivaldi as an example.
Great storytelling and recreations. It's funny but based on your recreations, I think Lorenzo is the better looking one! Giuliano is a little too pretty for my tastes, lol. Lorenzo is such an inspiration. How tragic that the world didn't really get to see what Giuliano had to offer.
Wow so handsome Lorenzo. Giuliano had a sweet smile. Great work guys. I’m always in awe of your research and recreations. Amazing!!!!!
By far, one of the best chanels here on RUclips. Thank you very much, what a great video and step in history ❤
Omg! So excited about this one one Lorenzo de’ Medici!!! I love learning about the Medici family. Saving this one for later when I have my wine & cake!
Wine and cake!! Haha it’s that kind of night ❤️ honored you are reserving that time for us.

Great video as usual! I would love to see a recreation of Simonetta Vespucci in the future 😊
Acromegly is caused by a pituitary tumor that over produces growth hormones. The 80's wrestler Andre the Giant had one also.
Excellent, as always!
I literally screamed after I saw u had posted cuz I was so excited ur vid was amazing and never disappointed looking forward to see what else u have in store for us!!!

The music along with the video is so powerful and moving. ❤. It makes me cry every time I see your recreations. Bravo 👏🏾
One of my all time favorites! Thank you ❤️
I asked about a year ago for y’all to do him!!! I screamed when I saw the video pop up! Amazing!
It's always a pleasure to watch another one of your videos. Your work is truly excellent, and it's a delight for me to experience it.☺️

This post is magnifico. Grazie!
Thank you. Totally enjoyed your video.
Extraordinary!! Always amazes & impressed.
The story was sad…I’ve watched documentaries about the Medicis…but the execution of the persons, is what really helps you to connect with the story!!!
Wonderful, as always. The talent you guys have for bringing history to life...

Love your work!! Thank you for sharing history with us!
What a coincidence, I just started watching the Medici series on Netflix!
Wonderful ….both verbal content and visual choices. Thank you
What amazing recreations and beautifully narrated. Thank you.
Great job!
For your information, in the word 'MEDICI' the stress falls on the first syllable.
I'm so addited 2 ur job... My fav notification fs. ❤
History always tells the truth‼️
Giuliano sure is a heartwarmer.
The Medici's are a fascinating family. This was another amazing recreation!
You guys are amazing. Thank you so much!
Modern day Lorenzo is 🔥 🔥
That was very interesting. Thank you.
Yes a magnificent video!❤️🌹

Why are they not more important in world history? The history of art banking and wealth can be tied back to the family.
The recreations of Lorenzo and Giuliano at the end were really cool. It was kind of hard to listen to the narrator because his phrasing was so strange, but the doc was interesting.
Very informative and enjoyable.
Ironically, modern day Lorenzo would be considered an extremely handsome man. Rugged, sexy. Puts me in mind of actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
I agree. Very handsome, and with more depth than Giuliano.
I love this channel.
Your recreations are awesome! Can you do Frederick the Great
