I just bought an orange 2014: this is the most practical vehicle (outside of maybe a Ridgeline or a minivan) for an unbelievable price. Crosstreks are tremendously underrated.
You are indeed right about the resale value of Crosstreks. I had a '16 Limited (still the first generation) and I was able to trade it in for a '19 Premium for not much out of the pocket. By that time, I had about 42,000 miles on it. The second generation Crosstrek is another kind of animal....much tighter (all-new chassis), better ride, and better handling. I actually preferred the cloth seats of the '19 Premium. By the way, the khaki color is still eye-catching.
I just bought a 2013 Crosstrek in Ontario Canada in an estate sale with only 65,000 km (40,300 miles) for only $11,500 Canadian. It'll be a second vehicle not counting my 2008 Chevy Tahoe 4 X 4 I use in the winter only when the roads are bad and for towing my boat and utility trailer. The all wheel drive will be great for snow conditions. It's in mint condition so I should have it for a very long time.
Just bought a 2013 XV 5 speed with 117,000 on it for 10k same color! I absolutely fell in love with it the moment I found it. Drives so good handles so good and economical
I know this is a old video but I think it's cool that you can still get the Crosstrek in 2023 in the Desert Khaki color on the Premium trim with a $600 option package.
Hello, I went an test drove 2013 crosstreck XV. It has a moon roof and the interior and exterior are beautiful. It has 78k miles and I’m wondering if you think 16k is a good price for one in 2023? Thank you
Man, this car is 10 yrs old now?! I remember my friend buying one new and it seemed just like yesterday. We were both 21 yrs old at the time… I guess old geezers are right when they say time flies!
@@Allcarnews I'm just glad it's a 5 speed manual. I really don't know how I feel about the cvt. All in all the 2.0 is a reliable engine and Subarus last.
The only problem I have with it is that the gas paddle is far to the right and it’s making my knees hurt. I basically have to bend my knee certain way to drive😢 but other then that it’s a reliable car

3 months later, how does it hold up? I keep hearing mixed things about the CVT. The only thing that’s holding back from getting a used crosstrek.
@@sleeprene Haven't had an issue. I've put about 5k more miles on it (bought it at 149k, now have a little over 155k) and it's great for what it is.
@@jgbecker24good to know, thanks!!
Hello does it still have any issues...i would love to have this car soon but many people say it has quite a problem
@WetBreads no issues
I just bought a 2016. it gets delivered in a week. I can't wait!
Super reliable. Ours has over 160k miles now no issues

Jeez. I'm in Ontario too, if you ever come across such a sale please hit me up. Seems like you got a great deal
Good luck. These vehicles have a million issues.

Honestly not bad. This 2013 we have now has over 160k miles on it! Only thing needing replacement is the struts.
I test drove a 2013 today and the steering felt a little stiff. Also the ABS, traction control, and hill assist lights came on. Thoughts?
Steering is stiff… which is why people love them. It feels solid. Those trio usually indicate an issue with missfiring or a transmission issue
I have a 2013. It has different gauges.a compass on the mirror and no moon roof.i get over 30 to the gallon with just over 150k.
Nice! We have 140k miles now and get around 27 highway but city isn’t the best. This is a premium pack 2013.
I have a 6 speed manual, it goes fine for what it is, 2 ltr flat four, has been off road often, and does it like a Subaru.
Have that car with 2 l diesel engine and 6 speed manual.
I dont touch the gas pedal on steep rough roads, it drives and regulate the gas automatic.
Mine has been great it has 80k on it. I put a trailer hitch on it and it pulls my 6 foot trailer perfectly
Thanks. I am thinking about getting one. a 13 or a 14 depending on price.
What's the price?

Does the 2013 model have a reverse camera?
no
Yes mine has one and it works .
I have the same car. 94,000 miles
Congrats!
Didn’t even vape while taking it down a dirt road to a trailhead. And no doggo in the back seat?! Dislike👎🏻
😂
I'm buying my brother's 2015 Crosstrek XV 5-speed manual
