Step Inside an Interior Designer’s Experimental Modern Glam Home

When designer John McClain starts noticing a material or feature show up too frequently in homes, he knows it’s time to try something different. So his new Los Angeles home became a laboratory of sorts to test out new design ideas and looks.
He used porcelain slabs, a relatively new product, for his countertops, backsplash and fireplace covering. He also designed a stylish take on a waterfall edge countertop, and designed a lot of his own furniture, including a modular coffee table, in addition to buying pieces from Houzz. I love the way John thinks....he designed a home. It is beautiful. I love the colors, the fireplace (speechless), and the kitchen (gasped) are to die for. And don't get me started on the accent wall in the guest bedroom. 😉 The man is a designer after my own heart. Normally, I can find something in the designs presented in these videos that I like.
