    My prototype invention is a 20 liter plastic pail with about 70-80 3/16th holes in the bottom.......works incredibly well.

    maybe a metal cable like the one you saw in the water but thinner and attached like a bucket handle where you have existing rope and then you can spin it like if your putting on a mason jar top

    Make a handle out of a small bolt with a drilled out dowel that spins on the bolt like a toy top

    Tip, the culverts have natural built in ripples, put a bucket st the exhaust end, use a stick, afloat on a rope, let it out the bottom end, tiesomething on the upsteam end and pull it thru,is stirs up the riffles, and you het hours of natural panning done for you.
    Ive hunted the Cassier, Alaska Hiway, Caribou River, and have not caught the fever, but it helped kill the hot mid day hours of our hunting trips, Never panned on my camp days.
    Saw lots of $ buried by the fever caught guys when iI worked 8 years in Quesnel for a Equip dealer. Lots of sales,rentals to gold fever folk. Lots of Alberta, California $ got buried in creeks.
    Have you ever seen the Chinese Gold Diggings on the Fraser River at the 3 KM marker on the North Bend side, downstream.
    My Dad got the fever, swore up and fown the Chines didnt get it all,haha he got lots of 20 liter buckets of Black Sand, and 3 flecks, and we had. Dozer, Excavator,loader, sluice box, trammel, and 1000s of CU Meters and our inheritance are buried there too.

      That’s a bummer your dad got missed the jackpot. The Chinese must done a good job. For sure more money has been spent on equipment than finding gold.

    Instead of making the bottom hole bigger; you could shape it in directional shape like the teeth on a vegetable grater, to allow it to purposely pull in water from the direction of the spin

    • @brianoz2brn976
      @brianoz2brn976 Месяц назад

      ... and if you shape it like this; it has to be off-centered to scoop up water; or you could make more than one hole

      @BjarneButler  29 дней назад

      Thanks. I thought of that too. I’ve decided to go with the pan being completely submerged and have it spun on a bracket to hold it centered. I had to keep in mind the injection molding process. Although I’m still in the experimenting stage 🤙

    That bridge reminds me of a crash I had, a boneyard 980 I took to pull a D8K out of a hole I stuck it into, anyway, hi gear, no throttle, it went into a wobble, stuck the fork into the gaurd rail, crashed it into Creek on its side, and like those log loaders, jailhouse gaurds all corners, I got out the lever side window over the levers, 3 days in Queen Charlotte City Hosp. then a week on lite duty, crazy days in my life, lucky day though, that night it started to rain like only the BC Coast can, had I crashed it next day, I'd not got out, 10 feet of water not 2', 2 days with 2 excavators the 980 was out, and guess what, my penance was getting the water out of all the cavities, just to park it in the bone yard again. Year was 2001, now that camp is a Alder patch.

      @@BjarneButler my favorite location was Head of Owikeno Lake on Rivers, or the Bella Cools inlet.
      We are blessed to see this Province.
      I've been to lots of claims near Barkerville fixing equipment, saw some nice nuggets, saw lots of crying adults as $ was dried up too.

    Bjarne you should send one of your prototype pans to Dan Hurd Prospecting, fellow RUclipsr, and he's in BC near your neck of the woods.

      yah, but Bjarne was testing out the spinning characteristics and pan water flow. Not really looking for the actual gold.... yet.
      Bjarne: Good on you! Hope you get success. Maybe name the pan after you: The Tree-faller Gold-Grabber pan.

      lol ya I’m still working out on a name. It was the Pan-Nado but now it’s the SpinPan. Also I got spinpan.com which was the better domain. And yes I was not expecting to find any gold just testing it out.
