  • This model was way to heavy, 3,6 kilos. the perfect weight should be arround 3,2 kilo's. but i tested this to tell you this is too heavy. Thanks to the bambulab X1 carbon i've managed to reprint the the model in one week. super happy with this briljant printer.
    Let’ start some build series, this time the wings because you wanted to see more details, i hope you like the printeble model😎

    Absolutely fantastic project and you have made amazing progress on all the complicated mechanisms! Once you have all the R&D testing done, I hope you would consider building the final model much larger because a 2,5-3m long model will not only fly a lot easier, but can be constructed to also have a much better power to weight ratio than smaller models.

    I haven’t had any layer movement with my Creality CR10 smart. I’m print the last of the parts for the vector nozzle as I write this. Once those are done it’s assembly time of the electronics and EDFs

    Did you put the wrong EDF in the front? The specs say front EDF is CW, but you put in CCW? These last two videos are fantastic. I love the long video with lots of details. It really helps a lot. Thanks.

    Hello, I read in the specs that 1 x Hitec MD-65-MG (programmable servo) is required. Unfortunately I can't find this anywhere, not even on the manufacturer's website. Only one HS-65MG is offered there. Is this the same one?

    The settings on the downloaded specs are set for 7% infill. So, should I reprint everything at 3%? I went to RC jet print and wanted to check the files to see if you updated them. It says that my download has expired. How can I get the updated files with the landing gear and the new printer setting specs? If they have been changed, I should not have to pay for them again.

    BECAUSE this type of airframe has an Inherently heavy tail, the tail should NOT be made heavier, by the addition of the mass of servos.! are you one of those guys who thinks a short pushrod is a Good pushrod.? if so, it is NOT difficult to make a good control linkage of ANY length.! do you understand that the mass servos located Above the plane of the center line, Raises the location of the c-m.? in the olden days, when servos were Massive, they were NEVER installed in an Outboard or Aft-of c-m location. now that servos are much lighter, the REASONS to Not 'spread out' the dom are still present. d

    • @Joelmelanie
      @Joelmelanie  Год назад

      Understood, both servos are 8grams 1.3Kg push. Tail is indeed heavy but it flies awesomely

    • @marcovandevelde

      Joel, I intend to build the VTOL without capability for “normal runway take-off. If it is all about light weight, why no loose the slat and rudder servos (+nose gear steering) completely? The filght time will be short so rudders won’t be missed, but do you think the slats are needed for transition?
