- Boris Pacey's Top Doorslammer HQ Holden Sandman Ute has been in the build for 15-plus years. Late last year he set the goal to bring it to Motorvation 38 to rip the covers off and show the world.
With its 5000hp engine, full carbon fibre body and insane gearbox and diff combo, it's fair to say this is one of the most insane drag cars built in the last few years. What's even more impressive is the fact that Boris basically built this in the shed at home - this ain't no race shop build.

My dad used to race a wild bunch HQ back in the early 90s so naturally I’m a fanatic… this is not only one of the most high quality builds I have EVER seen, but the fact that it’s a Qee and that you’ve managed to keep the body shape to almost OEM… just wow

That's a killer build !!! I like his patience on getting it down the track as it not a easy process.
Not to mention just simply enjoying its beauty before hand… I used to bag people like Boris for showboating cars like this… but as the years have past I’ve come to completely understand why he’s taking his time..
Firstly, it’s likely he’s never driven anything like this before and secondly… after all the money, sacrifices, risks taken, man hours, sleepless nights, road blocks endeavoured, bloody sweat and tears… I’d want to appreciate its beauty and show it off for a while aswell

That horsepower is insane, design and conception is at a whole new level. Proves Aussies will go to unreal lengths to prove people wrong. This should be car of the year in Wheels magazine.👊👍💪👌🥰

Somehow, I think it'll go straight as an arrow. With the amount of engineering in it I reckon the car will be fast and he'll see it through his eyes as slow motion down the strip.
Quicker than a blink of an eye actually… So fast that drivers have reported that they literally still think their peddling the car when in fact their upside down in the wall… then they realise.. shit I’ve crashed..

Great down to earth attitude from the man too don't look like too much would daunt him
Runs 1 2 and 3, short shift it to look at Hole Shot time and then set suspension up. Nail an ET later just bring it in an inch at a time and an ET at a time.
