    Do you need to remove all those parts for the clip sensors? I just need to remove the clip sensors .

      @robinbonathan ah wauw, i think ifixit will give it an 2/10 then.
      I sold my S50 from 2019 for 30 € It's too much work. And no spare parts such as sensors available.
      Hopefully the new roborocks are way better.

    Robin, Which are the sensors on the right and which are the sensors on the left? I have this doubt when buying spare parts.
    Thank you

      The left and right sensors are in a daisy chain. Make sure the model you are buying for is the European version as I purchased 1st set and it turned out to be Asia variant which is completely different. Looking from tank at rear, Left to your left & vice versa.

    my cliff sensor are reporting an error constantly due to dust inside the sensors after several years of usage. is it possible to open these sensors and clean them inside or do I need to order replacements?

    • @robinbonathan
      @robinbonathan  Год назад +1

      Sometimes it is possible, also you might with the sensor out be able to blow out the dust with high pressure air can or airline.

    I’ve used the S7 MaxV for about a week (500 minute clean time) and already have a spot of dirt underneath the cliff sensor.
    Quite surprised dirt was able to enter underneath the sensor so easily and in under a week! 😮

      Not great, the wire entry point is not sealed very well, so liquid and small dust can get in. Hopefully it won't affect performance but worth keeping an eye on.

      @@robinbonathan thanks for the info Robin. I guess I know what I’m up against if it gives me further trouble. One story house, so I’ll likely just cover the problem sensor to avoid tear down

      @@DrDoinks If you cover the sensors the vac will not detect any drop, which probably is not a problem. In my house I have stairs going to basement and no ledge. Vac would not survive a drop down those.

    how many cliff sensors are on S7 and where are they?

    • @robinbonathan
      @robinbonathan  Год назад

      They are on the underside around the edge, you can clearly see them as double lens. from memory 4 or 5.
