Severn Valley Railway ‘Manor 50’ - Saturday 14th November 2015

November 2015 marked the 50th anniversary since the ‘Manor’ steam locomotives last worked on the Cambrian Network in Wales. The Severn Valley Railway commemorated the anniversary by arranging a reunion of the final Manors that worked the route before they were condemned to the scrap pile. The Manors that took part in the reunion were, 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’ (fresh from overhaul), 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’ and 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor’.
Along with the 3 Manors 2 other Severn Valley residents supported the line up by operating local trains along the route, the full locomotive line up was -

|GWR ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 No 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’
|BR(W) ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 No 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor

|GWR ‘14xx’ 0-4-2T no 1450
With typical welsh weather, the event was sure not one to be missed for anyone who is a fan of the manors!
