  • November 2015 marked the 50th anniversary since the ‘Manor’ steam locomotives last worked on the Cambrian Network in Wales. The Severn Valley Railway commemorated the anniversary by arranging a reunion of the final Manors that worked the route before they were condemned to the scrap pile. The Manors that took part in the reunion were, 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’ (fresh from overhaul), 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’ and 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor’.
    Along with the 3 Manors 2 other Severn Valley residents supported the line up by operating local trains along the route, the full locomotive line up was -
    |GWR ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 No 7802 ‘Bradley Manor’
    |GWR ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 No 7812 ‘Erlestoke Manor’
    |BR(W) ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 No 7820 ‘Dinmore Manor
    |GWR ‘45xx’ 2-6-2T no 4566
    |GWR ‘14xx’ 0-4-2T no 1450
    With typical welsh weather, the event was sure not one to be missed for anyone who is a fan of the manors!

    - 7820 heads towards Kidderminster seen from Barke St Foot Crossing
    - 7802 arrives into Highley with a passenger service for Bridgnorth
    - 1450 departs Highley with the auto train to Arley
    - 1450 arrives back into Highley with the auto train
    - 4566 departs Highley with a local to Bewdley
    - 7812 barks into Arley station with a train for Bridgnorth
    - 4566 arrives into Arley station with a local for Bewdley
    - 7820 seen from a foot crossing north of Bewdley as it coasts towards the station
    - 7802 departs away from Bewdley with a train for Bridgnorth
