- Spring seemed to have disappeared at the Severn Valley's Spring Steam Gala, giving way to something more apt of the festive season with snow being the order of the day, making for some cold, wintry scenes. The motive power for the event harked back to the days of the Branch Line galas of a few years ago, with tank engines being the main source of power for the trains. Four guest locos were brought in for the event, this being the first opportunity for the public to see GWR 14XX No 1450 in its new BR Lined Green livery after a period in Matte Black, it was also a rare chance to see USA Tank No 65 on a longer preserved line. The full line up was:-

|SR USA Tank No 65 (courtesy of Kent & East Sussex Railway)
|GWR 14XX Class No 1450 + Autocoach W238 'Chaffinch' (couretesy of Dean Forest Railway)
|BR 4MT No 80072 (courtesy of Llangollen Railway)
|SR 'Battle of Britain' Class No 34053 'Sir Keith Park'
|GWR 15XX Class No 1501
|GWR 45XX Class No 4566
|GWR 5101 Class No 5164 Авто/Мото
I echo Train Boy's comment of 6 years ago! Superbly atmospheric content. Normally a white sky is difficult enough to cope with but with a nearly all-white background plus falling snow, this is a real achievement. Much enjoyed, thank you. Kind regards, Bob.
There is something extra special about steam trains in the snow.
Very nice video thanks for posting.
I live 5mins walk from bewdely and all I hear is the constant whistles
Fantastic video! Really brilliant shots. :)
Will our weather ever learn? Brill vid mate.
A great video of a great gala, superb channel!!!
Great video here mate in a constant stream of snow! Well executed in the conditions, particularly liked the shots of 1450 and 65 in and out of the yard at Arley, and 34007 going away to end the video. Liked to say the least!
Great vid, liked

*sigh* I was being jocular, no need to take it seriously, or use language that could offend some people. It is tiresome when you find someone who doesn't recognise humour.
