Believe it or not this world is full of idiots that's why it's in such a sad state... but this video is great and the robot is brilliant, wish I had Jim's skills
Most of the time it's accidental. The viewer doesn't even notices he/she touched the thumb down icon. The thumb down and the thumb up icons should be placed farther from each other.
You did a wonderful job , you have a talent that money cannot buy, I am so amazed, lost in space was my favorite show I am 65 and watch lost in space every Saturday night on ME TV
I commend Mr. Collins on his dedication in seeing his dreams through to such a successful and impressive result. This robot is so massively iconic, I was honestly horrified to learn about how and why the original one was so carelessly destroyed. Such a shame! But his recreation efforts have yielded an amazing thing to behold.
That is a magnificent reproduction of the B9 robot!! You built it with so much passion, dedication, and love!! Thank you for sharing your video!! "Alexa" can't touch the B9!! LoL!!!
This is a fantastic Robot. It is a shame nobody thought to actually have him actually demonstrate The Robot's sound and/or movement! It's a lost opportunity.
Wow just incredible. So happy you did this. The robot will now live on forever. Who knows, the robot might end up in some sci-fi museum one day. I do remember Robbie the robot as well . In fact I think there was a series where both Robbie the robot and the lost in space robot had an encounter . Love the show. It was fantastic.
Without your dedication and determination, this piece of our 60's history would be lost forever sir ! Your persistence and attention to precise detail has likely produced a version of the B9 robot that is significantly better than the original ! Thanks to you, and of course the countless others out there on the internet, emailing each other, and internet resources this would have never been possible ! Thank you Sir ! My hat's off to you ! I know and understand the countless hours that you have put into making this level of quality B9 !
I love people who get it right, amazing job sir ,so you ever take it to sci-fi shows,or comic con .I love that show as most of us did in the sixties still love it ,I wish they would show the reruns.,for the next generation
You know what I enjoy this when you talk about the Roebuck because of robot what was influencing me when I was a child I was in awe I thought it was another living creature ever since then I tried to get into robotics big failure on that. But it gave me skills and insights I'm things that I can do. If you're reading this I'd appreciate this perception. You should make a $20 gold coin size emblem of that robot and make it out of a ribbon coin for the achievement of acceleration in the robotic field or and in film industry with a robot but let's try to make the robot from Lost in Space immortal since his life was very short
Robot was both Father protecting Will Robinson and faithful dog... 🐕 Smith infuriated me - coming between them - and there were episodes where I remember crying over the relationship between boy and dog... not having a father around (or interested... kinda like Guy Williams) probably heightened the emotion. (Guy Williams must have also been traumatized, going from “Zorro” to 2nd banana... died of a drug overdose in Latin America)
They attempted to revive the show with Lost in Space Forever later on, was it your duplicate they used? They also used the Robot in a convention here in Sydney with Jonathan Harris. Was it your model that was use?
Jim I texted Bill and asked Him if He thought He could add a feature to the Lost In.Space robot that would be like google but use the voice or simulate the voice of Bob May to be able to converse with the owners of It and answer questions
Do you still have this robot? Would you sell it??? I have wanted one ever sense the "60's (of course). Do you have any videos of it moving and talking?
Im thinking instead or imitating a human ….in 30 years. borrow from Boston Dynamics…something that could survive the surface of Venus. The voice of Siri in 3o years. Quantum intelligence.
That’s actually valid, but it may simply have been a matter of hiring the first person small enough to fit. Bob May’s story is that Irwin Allen told him he was hired if he could fit into the suit.
The robot will never be outdated he will always be new in our lives and we will always want to have him to live with us forever. ♥️
Who would be the idiot to give this a thumbs down? This is truly amazing work and attention to detail!!!! Awesome job sir!!!
Believe it or not this world is full of idiots that's why it's in such a sad state... but this video is great and the robot is brilliant, wish I had Jim's skills

Probably because the builder seems pretty arrogant.
Jim Collins did an incredible job building that Robot! Wow!
I had a robot toy when I was a kid,one of my favorite toys from lost in space.
You did a wonderful job , you have a talent that money cannot buy, I am so amazed, lost in space was my favorite show I am 65 and watch lost in space every Saturday night on ME TV
The Robot will always be real to me.
@Zsavage1 Me, too.
To me as well.

Nice job sir!! Many of us older "kids" would love to have one in our living room!
I loved and grew up with the show and wanted the robot too….. I just didn’t have what it takes to build one… An incredible job you did!
I love the obsessive brilliance of people like this.
What an amazing guy! I’d love to see whatever else he has done
There's saying that I love. "Sometimes it's not about the destination but about the journey." If you had fun building it then it was worth it.
Wow! This man did it! He built he Lost in Space Robot!!!! I built a couple of models....he wins.
Gracias por haberme hecho tan Feliz con ésa película 😃😊 lost space
Incredible. When I was a kid I got as far as drawing a 1:1 rendering.

The robot was my favorite character on Lost in Space !
Can really appreciate the skill and patience in making this replica robot - great work.

You did an incredible job, Jim. It's beautiful. Being an engineer helped a great deal , I think.Well done. Thanks for sharing.
I’m just blown away and very jealous!! You have taken it to a whole new level!! Thanks for sharing.
I love people who get it right, amazing job sir ,so you ever take it to sci-fi shows,or comic con .I love that show as most of us did in the sixties still love it ,I wish they would show the reruns.,for the next generation

Sir thank you for this video it is a true testament to your model making skills once again thank you for sharing this video with all of us. :-)
Love the Robot
Great work, it really is incredible, like some of the other here are saying. Thank you for showing us your work.
Wow ,you did a hell of job, fantastic.
I wish he made the "ears" spin like they did in some early episodes, still a magnificant piece of work.
Oooops...I was wrong, he did!
“Two steps forward, my mechanical friend!”
Jim You did a Awesome job!! Your Robot Is Beautiful
Thanks for posting.
Fantastic job, sir!!! 👏🤩👍
bill may was the operator of the robot suit. the narrator of the show was also the robots voice .
Fantastic! Congratulations!
Amazing work! I had the toy which followed the show as well.
FANTASTIC!!!!
very nice work, well done.
That is just completely awesome!
I’d kill to have a life sized B9 robot.
What a wonderful job!
What a job!!!
Wow!! Incredible!!
AWESOME INFO AND WORK.
Cool beans and sad about B-9 at 2;43 always wanted to have one of my own
You know what I enjoy this when you talk about the Roebuck because of robot what was influencing me when I was a child I was in awe I thought it was another living creature ever since then I tried to get into robotics big failure on that. I like what you done and wish I could build one but not talented enough nice looking robot
The hero robot was repaired with alot of new parts, and the duplicate was made after it to use at shows
It seems like a great robot. Too bad we were not able to see it move about as this builder says it could do under radio control.
Nice work
I'd like to see pictures of the bubble being blown up.
Fairplay man
I wouldn't mind having one built for me , by Jim. It would be very expensive I would say.
Jim? Where are you? I’d love to see this!
I wanted to see him walk around.
Robot was both Father protecting Will Robinson and faithful dog... 🐕 Smith infuriated me - coming between them - and there were episodes where I remember crying over the relationship between boy and dog... not having a father around (or interested... kinda like Guy Williams) probably heightened the emotion. You’re awesome… have you thought of creating a 2023 version?
Tenho ele no meu status tirei foto no filme e coloquei!!!!😍
They attempted to revive the show with Lost in Space Forever later on, was it your duplicate they used? They also used the Robot in a convention here in Sydney with Jonathan Harris. Was it your model that was use?
Fantastic work but the real B9 was rebuilt and restored
Jim I texted Bill and asked Him if He thought He could add a feature to the Lost In.Space robot that would be like google but use the voice or simulate the voice of Bob May to be able to converse with the owners of It and answer questions
So you're telling me the robot I used to see At the Smithsonian as a kid is not the real robot.
My goal is to build an U.S Enterprise captain's chair. Research and expense is a killer.
s
Do you still have this robot? Would you sell it??? I have wanted one ever sense the "60's (of course). Do you have any videos of it moving and talking?
I still want one. Can you help me on how to get one already built? OR a complete kit ot list of parts to build or etc. ???
MANO VOUFASER UNDESTE PARA MIM EU AMO ESTE ROBOT.
Wow you lucky
Does anyone in Texas own one? I'd love to see it!!!
I would love to own one of these! How much would it cost to build! And what would be the cost for sales!
I'd love to learn how to make things like the/
Ve se da pla dublad gente ou legenda👍
Why didn't he show it moving and talking? 🤔
Im thinking instead or imitating a human ….in 30 years. borrow from Boston Dynamics…something that could survive the surface of Venus. The voice of Siri in 3o years. Quantum intelligence.
would have been nice without the extreme close ups
But paint a white face black for the robot.
Why the hell didn't you show us how it worked? Bummer.
sad the original was destroyed. other early robots were not. i believe "Robby" is still around now in 2023.
not the real one????....bahhhhhh, moving on
Why not use a black man for the robot?
That’s actually valid, but it may simply have been a matter of hiring the first person small enough to fit. Bob May’s story is that Irwin Allen told him he was hired if he could fit into the suit.
Don’t show him moving about whatever u do
im sorry but he's so inaccurate about the original robot facts
What are the errors?
