  • This past weekend saw the largest Pokémon TCG tournament ever take place in Beijing, China! They're relatively new the Pokémon TCG scene as the official licensing and localization began last year. But that did not stop them from hosting the largest Pokémon TCG event ever!
It's important to note that they are a few sets behind the rest of the world, so their rotation and meta is slightly different. For instance Arceus Dialga and Palkia GX JUST rotated out of format this year, leaving Mew VMAX to be the deck to beat!
It's great to see the game succeeding around the world and the player base growing. I hope to connect the world and help others realize how great is to be a TCG player!
Thank you to my Chinese friends, fans, and associates for sending in the videos as I was not able to make it to the event myself, but I am more than happy to spread the word of the Chinese Pokémon scene!
You are watching Daywalker Cards A channel dedicated to all of the trading card game players of the world who hit a plateau of mediocrity but play for the love of the game and camaraderie. Especially the camaraderie! Check out my other weekly series and lets play some games!!!
Thank you for watching and remember to check my socials for updates, memes, and to see things not posted on RUclips.

nice coverage! I am fascinated by the rollout of Pokémon into mainland China. with about 4x the population of the U.S., it is hard to comprehend what a gigantic opportunity it is for Pokémon to reach the mainland. Love to see big tournaments and people enjoying the game there.

@@grailsgg the massive growth has been insane to be honest. People are estimating it's already bigger than Yu-Gi-Oh in China. The entire card game industry in mainland china is flourishing, very different from when I lived there, because at that time there were no officially licensed cards, and all the card shops were basically just getting by. Now they have Pokemon Center's, bandai card shops, and pretty much every card game officially localized and licensed now.

@@tnt4020 I still can't get past the deck list part. It's just so different and forces people to own two full decks
