It could be either one, honestly. They used Lucario as the main "star" of the mega evolution legend because of his uber popularity with gamers so they thought he'd make natural sense for the story. If anyone wanted to achieve a specific goal like mega evolution, someone with the sheer power level to do it like Rayquaza probably could. Maybe it'll be a thing where Nintendo makes it an "It's up to you" kind of choice story where the player gets to decide who was the actual first to mega evolve. I hope not, because I actually love both of these pokemon. It'd be a tough choice for me,

Personally, I think it's due to a mix of 2 things: Rayquaza's Mega is more like the Primal Forms of Kyogre and Groudon, and the fact that it's happened independently from a trainer using Rayquaza in battle. Whereas the first Lucario Mega Evolution was the first time a bond between trainer and Pokemon, coupled with the necessary Mega and Key Stones, led to that Lucario's Mega Evolution.

I mean, the word for doesn't mean that much. Do you think substituting it with "from" would make a big difference? If he said this was a "theory" vid or his expectation "for" upcoming news, THAT would make a difference.
Maybe. People do like to forget that Rayquaza like to spend most of their time hanging out in outer space. So it's possible. It's a tough toss up on who did what first, honestly.
Nice video! I'm a bit worried about Hoenn involvement in Legends Z-A because I kinda see Z-A as an opportunity to flesh out Kalos' story and characters a lot more, which is needed. I do think that the Synchro machine observation was pretty cool though! I would love to see it appear in ZA and I think it would make sense if it does.
The theory that Z-A takes place in the future and not the past just got a huge boost with the synchro machine callout. If it was being invented in S&V it would be hugely inconsistent to have it exist with the same logo and everything in the past.
I was thinking the same thing! Even in the clip he shows for the synchro machine the scientist asks your character to help her out on an amazing experiment that's a new invention. I've been thinking from the initial release that it was going to take place in the future. That synchro idea though may have just solidified it for me. I can't wait though until it releases to see 😊
I Would think that the "first Mega evolution" title lacks some extra text in both case since Rayquaza could be the first to mega evolve on its own volition, but Lucario is the first TRAINED Pokémon to do it, both the first
I think Z-A will be released some time in the first half of 2025 because of the potential release of the Switch's successor. If Z-A is still a Switch game, it wouldn't make sense to release it after the release of the next generation's console.
one of the big thing no body is talking about is the fact that mega evolutions are probably going to be in the gen 10 games. Im not sure weather they are going to be a main mechanic or anything but Im pretty sure its safe to assume were getting a couple new ones with za and there is no way in hell they wont bring them into a main line game because they would want the new megas to be used in competitive play. So basically just by showing the mega evolution symbol in the trailer for za we can pretty much be sure mega evos are coming back in gen 10 at some point (my guess is that there will be a new mechanic as usual and then megas will be added later with a dlc or something because it usually takes them a really long time to set up pokemon home connectivity).
ZA, just like LA before it, it's literally oficially considered a main game. That's why you are not seeing discussion about what you suggest, because it's hobestly nonsense based on misinformation to start with. Not to mention it nakes way more sense for the anniversary new gen to bring in a brand new mechanic/gimmick.
@@gokunenn4243 it's based on nothing but my thoughts so I guess we'll see who's spitting nonsense in time :) Also - I know la is considered as a main series game BUT there is no competitive scene in it. Therefore they HAD to get the hisuian forms in sv. Because they wanted competitive players to try and use them. And some of them actually had massive success. Pokémon will never make new mega evos without letting them see the light of day in competitive play. It would never ever happen. Because if they don't do it either they don't add new mega evos at all which is highly unlikely imo or za will have its own competitive scene which is even more unlikely (although it might explain the extra time they needed to make it). Merely speculation really but if you actually think about it instead of just scolding people online for sharing their opinions and thoughts you might just find some sense in it.
@@BeIlG I enjoyed it and it's a great mechanic, the thing is that it's very limited in SV. On top of the fact that you can only use it in the Terarium, only the Auto Battle and item picking quests can be completed with it, all other BBQ's cannot be completed with it, even the 500-yard one. That seems to me that FG/Nintendo/TPC are just testing the waters with this in SV, and perhaps will expand upon it in LZA, making it's usage more comprehensive.
Legends Z-A has been in the back of my mind for a while, since we’ve yet to receive any official announcements on the subject. I’d like to think that Mega Evolution will be handled a little differently, focusing on the bonds between us the trainers and their Pokémon. What I mean is, that there’s a certain kind of bond that needs to be achieved with your Pokémon in order to undergo Mega Evolution. Perhaps, the Syncro Machine could be a factor in that regard, like the Bond Phenomenon aspect.
There is likely some tie-in to ORAS, since the A in "Z-A" is a Greek lambda, continuing the trend of Greek letters from omega, alpha, and delta (Rayquaza). Then again, X, Y, and Z are also Greek letters, albeit in different roles than the English alphabet.
I think the quasar theory is sound. Since the symbol looks like it does around 2:35 (spinning top) and the map looks like it does, there might be a duality complex. The top/above layer may look very normal, but there might be a mirrored world, more sinister world. The mirrored world may be that Tron world we see around ~10:15 It would be cool to see kinda a flip of worlds. Top layer, Lucario is the main mascot "first public Mega evolution" where the mirrored/bottom layer, have Rayquaza as the mascot but Pokemon run the town vs the humans. This is why being able to control the Pokemon may be a vital part of the storyline Anything is possible!
4:00 I was under the impression that Z-A would take place after the Kalos games based on the trailers overall visual design, I could be wrong but we'll see
Right, it seems like a "future" legends game, as opposed to a past one. The digitalization of the entire city seems like something that could never happen in a Legends Arceus-esque setting.

I really hope the ultra beasts show up in ZA since they're basically invasive species that mess with the ecosystem, which Zyguarde maintains the order of so obviously it would get pissed off and try to attack the ultra beasts to drive them away. Plus I want to have my ultra beasts that I caught be on a different mainline game other than just my shield version since for some reason game freak wouldn't let us have them on Scarlet or Violet.
What we do know for certain is that the Nintendo Switch 2 is also coming in 2025 - but we don't know when that is either - so my money is on Legends Z-A either being release prior to or as a cross-gen launch game for the Switch 2 - which in itself would be huge!
I just hope ZA tells us more about the message in the train station and maybe more about ghost girl. I wonder if the protagonist in ZA is the one and that's why in x and y our protagonist wasn't the one. I'm seriously looking forward to ghost girl to pop back up and saw yes you are the one lol

I wonder if this “organization” has anything to do with the Draconids of the past. Rayquaza was probably the first “Mega Evolution”, but Lucario was probably the first Pokémon to Mega Evolve with a Key Stone and Mega Ring.

It seems like an EXTREMELY foolish assumption to make that Legends ZA will be set in the past at all, when that's not AT ALL how the trailer presents itself. Legends Arceus presented itself IN EVERY WAY as ancient and historical myth from the past, from the first second of the first trailer. Legends ZA does the COMPLETE opposite, and presents itself as ultra futuristic and TRON and lasers and redevelopment of the existing Lumiose City into something even MORE futuristic and modern. This is NOT the development of Lumiose City. This is the modern existing city being REdeveloped. Likewise, it's unlikely to have anything to do with the origins of Mega Evolutions, and instead ADVANCE the story of Mega Evolution. It seems more destined to be set in the future as a sci-fi game, themed around evolving and pushing things FORWARD, not going back to the ancient past. Moreover, it seems designed to take the dinky little Lumiose City from the GameBoy games and quite literally redevelop it into a far bigger, grander, more fleshed-out form that can serve as almost the ENTIRE SETTING for an open world Pokemon game. THAT would be incredible. A Pokemon game set entirely in a city big enough to be the entire gameworld would be AMAZING. And then in future games ALL cities can be "redeveloped" to be what they should be. Like imagine Kanto remakes where every town is a real town, and Celadon, Cerulean, Vermillion, and Saffron are all actual HUGE cities with tons of stuff to do, and you can hop on the train to Goldenrod in Johto, where there's EVEN MORE huge cities. If they can figure out how to do one single huge city on the Switch, the possibilities for the Switch 2 will be INCREDIBLE.
I mean...I'd actually feel better about the game if it actually came out LATER in 2025 than earlier. If not even later and push it back until 2026. One of Arceus's fatal flaws I think was that it simply came out too soon. I feel like if Arceus had more time to cook and develop, more could've been put into the game, what was in the game could've been more polished and refined. I feel like so much of the Pokemon game's qualities over the years have suffered because of Nintendo's refusal for patience and rush these things out. So, yeah. I hope they're right that it's release date is later in 2025 or even further back. I'm the kind of gamer guy who can be patient with release dates if it means quality IMPROVEMENTS.
I have a theory for both interpretations of legends za if it’s in the past it could be that zygarde gets enraged by humans destroying the ecosystem to expand themselves but eventually zygarde see’s that humans are doing what they can for the Pokémon who’s environment they destroyed and if it’s in the future I have 2 different theories 1st we could be teaming up with zygarde to defeat some very big threat like maybe we could have like yveltal or/and xerneas be frenzied like in legends arceus by a main villain or two in the theory it could be that the other zygarde cores maybe be frenzied and the game could be defeating other zygarde cores and collecting them so maybe 4-5 cores and maybe we could start with a core that is demanding our aid since in the anime it does telepathically communicate with people and other cores and as we progress through the game zygarde could access different forms as more of the cores are quelled and they may add more forms like a 25% form and a 75% form so after defeating the first core you get access to the 10% form the the 25% form then 50 then 75 then 100 but only usable during the zygarde fights only after you complete the main story so it isn’t to op and pls add the core as a usable Pokémon idc about its base stat total I just want to name a core squishy
I think LA and LZA takes at least 80 years between in timeline, no way a rustic almost feudal-like era with people are afraid of Pokémon to a fully developed city with electricity and trainers
Ok, hear me out Stevens ancestor was one of the first people who discovered to discover Mega Evolution are connected to the mega stones. This would explain Stevens fondness for stones in particular
i was under the impression that the new game would be somewhat futuristic, no? If it isn’t, they marketed that aspect VERY poorly. Even calling it the “Urban Redevelopment” in one of the teasers is wild for ancient times
Unrelated to the video, but did you guys notice something strange about the ZA reveal? One of the last, seemingly random features we got in Scarlet and Violet was the Synchro machine. The trailer is not only from Pikachu’s perspective (no trainer) and weren’t the Sylveon and Aegislash fighting without trainers? The majority of those Pokémon were just walking about freely without their trainers. Like, why did we even get the synchro function in the first place? It seems totally random as a thing to put in the FINAL dlc. Just how like in sword and shield, your partner Pokémon could follow you randomly in the dlc areas, and they ended up making it a function again in the main series? Am I reaching here, I feel like they are hinting at how battles are going to go now…like, idk, maybe dodging attacks will be a real thing for once, you never know 😂
Also, the A in the game's title doesn't have a horizontal line through it, making it more like the Greek letter lambda, which could be another Rayquaza connection, because the Hoenn legendaries have had an association with Greek letters since ORAS.
"Rayquaza's name comes from 'quazar' and that's true in Japanese too" idk Quasar in Japanese is 'kuēsā' and rayquaza's japanese name is 'rekkūza'. it bears some resemblance but it's pretty different. also, hoops, i'm really glad to see that you're finally crediting people in your videos. you got better with the art credits over time, and I'm glad to see you're crediting ideas now and even footage as well. I spent like 3 minutes looking for the 'credits down below' you mentioned and couldn't find it, until I realized it was hidden in that bitly link. Because your content is primary founded on other people's ideas and work (footage), I think you should really put these credits front and center in the description. each link individually. not just smooshed all together in a hidden bitly link. i know there's some haters out there who say that you don't do anything cause you're just stealing work. and i don't think you're stealing, you're curating. and there is a lot of hard work that goes into curating and presenting, as you're doing. but other's people's ideas and footage is the foundation of your work, so i do think you should credit even more openly. though i do appreciate your effort to get better about this, and i have noticed your progress over time in this regard. also maybe overlay onto the footage 'courtesy of' and their name/yt handle for every video clip you use. this is standard practice among other larger youtubers already, when borrowing other creators' footage.

I do have one theory cuz there's one other pokemon that might have a major key role and that would be Paldea's legendary Pokemon Terapagos. Yeah I know we already got a very important role of it due to it being the main thing that connects to the terastal phenomenon and it's link with Area Zero but it just feels like there's so much more going on with that pokemon and that every mystery behind it has yet to be revealed since it still has hidden lore. We have gotten some information about it in the Indigo Disk dlc for Scarlett and Violet although we didn't get so much information about it at all so there's still so much more to it's lore than what we all know. There's a possibility that Terapagos is not only being linked to Paldea but it being linked to Kalos as well. Since we don't know everything about it there maybe a possibility that Terapagos may originally be from Kalos way before it came to what became Area Zero. Even if Terapagos didn't have anything to do with the creation of mega evolution since it was the one responsible for the existence of the terastal but that still doesn't mean that it doesn't have some ties to it in some way since terastle power and mega evolution power both give off a very similar energy between the two despite the differences between the two and both things have a crystal esthetic to them with the mega stones and key stones are made of the same material as the Anistar City Sundial and the terastal energy hardens into crystals that probably are made of the same material as the Anistar City Sundial as well although they weren't created by the sundial but they were created out of the energy from Xerneas and Yveltal that was used by AZ when he was using the ultimate weapon to end the ancient war of Kalos so he might have not only created the mega stones he probably created the Terastal energy that a pokemon end up being born from that said energy which it later possess itself with that being the legendary pokemon Terapagos. But this is just my theory.
I know it's probably me taking vast amounts of Copium, but I'm still holding out hope that Chikorita will be our Grass Starter, and that the line will finally get the love it's been denied by Gamefreak for so long.
Alright, about the Quasar: Team Flare has its name and partly icon from a solar flare. A quasar is similar in the sense that it is a powerful astronomical phenomenon, though much stronger. It makes sense the new team would be named that (recall the Galactic expedition, except those actually changed their name), and Rayquaza has no spot there. In fact, I very highly doubt it'll return because it doesn't makes too much sense, and having Mega Ray warrants the primals to return as well, and that's a can we shouldn't open for a Kalos Legends game. As for the first mega evolution debate, it's pretty simple. Rayquaza was the first, but it happened in Hoenn, not Kalos. So the people in Kalos didn't know about it (as back then interregional communication wasn't that good) and only later found out about it. Now no one knows for sure who's first and each stand to their ground. That and Rayquaza's unique mega features might have confused some to not be one. Or it's simply not a much known legend, only known to the folk that guard the lore, and people in general don't actually know about Mega Ray. While it's still a theory, it fits all the data and explains the discrepancy. Thus, it shows there's no Paradoxe here, and no Paradox Rayquaza either. As for the release date, I don't believe it it is releasing in Summer. A main title release wouldn't be productive to be Launched in summer. Most people go to holidays in summer, go out, don't stay in to play video Games. And by the time fall hits the game "feels old" to people who aren't too much into, which severely cuts short sales from casuals and birthday/christmas buyers (as the risk the gifted has the Game already is higher). I personally believe it's in October (due to XY being released in October) or the usual November release.

Y'all don't know what "for" means do y'all
I mean, the word for doesn't mean that much. Do you think substituting it with "from" would make a big difference? If he said this was a "theory" vid or his expectation "for" upcoming news, THAT would make a difference.
It's called Clickbait and we all fell for it smh
lucario was the first mega evolution known on earth, but rayquaza was the first mega evolution ever
Maybe. People do like to forget that Rayquaza like to spend most of their time hanging out in outer space. So it's possible. It's a tough toss up on who did what first, honestly.
@@lordcheesus1013uhh no, Rayquaza obviously mega evolved first
What’s stopping a lucario from using a pokeball to catch other Pokémon?
So “info” is now just random things I’ve thought about? Really??
@@gokunenn4243 it's based on nothing but my thoughts so I guess we'll see who's spitting nonsense in time :)
Also - I know la is considered as a main series game BUT there is no competitive scene in it.
Merely speculation really but if you actually think about it instead of just scolding people online for sharing their opinions and thoughts you might just find some sense in it.
i think the synchro machine will be the way we traverse the “region” instead of ride pokemon
That's a good idea
i think that could be. I personally didn't enjoy the synchro machine so I hope not lol
Synchro will be a Gen 10 mechanic.
Gamefreak will probably push the "human-Pokémon" fusion

Legends Z-A has been in the back of my mind for a while, since we’ve yet to receive any official announcements on the subject.
I’d like to think that Mega Evolution will be handled a little differently, focusing on the bonds between us the trainers and their Pokémon. What I mean is, that there’s a certain kind of bond that needs to be achieved with your Pokémon in order to undergo Mega Evolution. Perhaps, the Syncro Machine could be a factor in that regard, like the Bond Phenomenon aspect.
great video to watch at 3.0x speed
It doesn't help that Rayquaza has three A's and a Z in it's name, and even ends with a ZA.
Change this video's title so it isn't clickbait 🙄
There is likely some tie-in to ORAS, since the A in "Z-A" is a Greek lambda, continuing the trend of Greek letters from omega, alpha, and delta (Rayquaza). Then again, X, Y, and Z are also Greek letters, albeit in different roles than the English alphabet.
I'd love to see this game have the Kalos region have connections with Hoenn that would be awesome to see 😄👏🏻
No way. I can’t Zygarde is in a game taking place in Kalos.
I think the quasar theory is sound.
Since the symbol looks like it does around 2:35 (spinning top) and the map looks like it does, there might be a duality complex.
The top/above layer may look very normal, but there might be a mirrored world, more sinister world.
The mirrored world may be that Tron world we see around ~10:15
It would be cool to see kinda a flip of worlds.
Top layer, Lucario is the main mascot "first public Mega evolution"
where the mirrored/bottom layer, have Rayquaza as the mascot but Pokemon run the town vs the humans.
This is why being able to control the Pokemon may be a vital part of the storyline
Anything is possible!

Nice title lad, not clickbait at all, classic poketuber shit.
Oh lord now that I am seeing the amount of words I think I massively wasted my time 😂😂😂😂😂
I think LA and LZA takes at least 80 years between in timeline, no way a rustic almost feudal-like era with people are afraid of Pokémon to a fully developed city with electricity and trainers
Even though I doubt the game will be released in the spring, there's still the phrase that Paris (Lumiose City) is lovely that time of year lol
Pokémon legends Z-A has to be huge because there hasn’t been another trailer yet

Another ancestor we could see if Gaeric from PLA as he's the ancestor of Wulfric
Ok, hear me out Stevens ancestor was one of the first people who discovered to discover Mega Evolution are connected to the mega stones. This would explain Stevens fondness for stones in particular

enemy team will be called team delt i am calling it they will be searching for their legendary god rayquazza
Mind blowing click bait .
Am I reaching here, I feel like they are hinting at how battles are going to go now…like, idk, maybe dodging attacks will be a real thing for once, you never know 😂
I honestly would not be surprised if none of this happened
I think that Rayquaza was the FIRST naturally occurring mega evolution while Lucario was the first human assisted mega evolution
I just realized... i wonder if we'll see the Draconid People, or a relative of Zinnia.
Also, the A in the game's title doesn't have a horizontal line through it, making it more like the Greek letter lambda, which could be another Rayquaza connection, because the Hoenn legendaries have had an association with Greek letters since ORAS.
Pokemon Legends rayquaZA
"Rayquaza's name comes from 'quazar' and that's true in Japanese too" idk
Quasar in Japanese is 'kuēsā' and rayquaza's japanese name is 'rekkūza'. it bears some resemblance but it's pretty different.
also, hoops, i'm really glad to see that you're finally crediting people in your videos. you got better with the art credits over time, and I'm glad to see you're crediting ideas now and even footage as well.

Omggggggg
Alright, about the Quasar:
Team Flare has its name and partly icon from a solar flare.
Listen, I know you're desperate to put videos out, just to make barely any noney but just presenting every possible leak and claiming it's some amazing and true thing is tiring and desperate. Maybe have more than just RUclips, as your job, and you might make some money because we are so done with the desperate videos, where there's no credibility but you'll still clickbait us!
