I think the line he should have taken was: tempest kick to minus queen. Then 2nd kick to minus sanji with stage. Then gecko into Rebecca and spandam to search for 2k. Rebecca effect on Spandine to lucci for KO on Queen/Sanji

@@heretocommentyou mostly because the card is just that strong. It gives you a bunch of don for free so the don minus skills purple uses feels free instead of being a detriment. The card doesnt rest itself or trash itself either when the effect is used so it should be removed if possible
I'm also a Lucci player. I guess the lucci player decided to swing Lucci leader first to have a chance spandine will drop in the trash, as well as spandam, so he can do the Rebecca loop. So the final board will have Rebecca plus the CP card that will be added by Spandam. If I'm not mistaken, there's no spandam in the trash yet. Because I'm pretty sure there's no spandine in the trash.
@@atrocioustcg Yes. Because if I'm in his situation, that's also what I'm going to do. I need to make sure I have a blocker for the end board so if the turn passes on my opponent, my opponent will be forced to bounce my Rebecca, the dons will lessen, and there's a chance I can cover the swing.
No need to be mean with the Lucci player, having played a 9 round and 10 round tournament. It is not easy to be in perfect condition all 9-10 rounds specially with a black deck. Definitely a misplay, Should have popped the black maria with the trigger and I even replayed why the lucci player swing lead with 5 with the last turn thinking he does not have a lucci on trash (but he had lucci already). That last turn of rp law he would have only 6 don instead of 10 if that maria got popped.

When the rob lucci takes when he has 3 life even though he can counter it with rebecca, I wonder why he did that. Cause to me, rebecca ends up as a dead card in his hand anyways, and even though he gets a tempest kick, I don’t feel like it matters that much.
there has to be a line of play that I'm thinking of to consider Rebecca THAT valuable in the matchup. Maybe it makes the Law really think "OK what am I bottomdecking?"
Gecko Moria Missplayed badly there, based on his last turn if he was gonna swing 5k after doing all that minusing he should’ve just used the trigger tempest kick to get rid of Black Maria. He’d still had that -3 since he swung with lead anyways. Also couldn’t he have played gecko into Rebeca into Tsuru into spandine? And bring lucci out to still pop characters and have a blocker out ?
For the trigger, I’d need to know what his thinking was for the play. He may have thought either a) another black maria was coming anyways or b) he needed the tempest kick because he knew he’d play Sanji. Maybe answering the Sanji has more value than getting them behind on don. For the Gecko, I believe he could have done that, I think he had enough pieces in trash

He missed, he probably wanted Rebecca as a blocker + Lucci and searcher as a combo. No idea why he used Tsuru when he didn't need to and he could have just search and hopefully found a 2K.
Not popping Maria was definitely pain. 8 don turn should have dropped Moria. Swing lead into Zoro see if he blocks/counters, -1 on Maria(2). Enis lobby Zoro(1), Moria to grab Lucci to K.O Zoro and Maria. This way it's either 2 Gordon/Max to get rid of Moria or 1 for Lucci. 10 don turn i though he would have at least 1) 1st tempest kick -3 on Queen(2) 2) 2nd tempest kick -3 on Reiju(1) 3) Enis lobby -2 on Maria (1) 4) Play Rebecca to take back 4c Lucci 5) Play Brook from Rebecca's effect to k.o Reiju or Maria 6) Play 4c Lucci from hand to k.o Queen and Reiju
@@atrocioustcg yeah, I'd just throw in an extra step to attack with leader even though it will be blocked and -1 the Sanji. Then Play Rebecca, who plays Brook and pops a card, then Lucci from hand who pops the remaining two, and in that way you get rid of Queen, Sanji and Black Maria
@@Spartanjohn99 that's the thing youre right, saka wasn't exactly scary in op05 because at times you could drain it's resource's same with every black deck since they have Very limited draw power but Moria reviving stuff is an actual nightmare
Feel like something is definitely up, that lucci player straight up threw the game. Doesn't take an expert to know that taking all that life would end poorly. Plus turn before was playing as if hes never touched lucci before. Threw on purpose imo
@@atrocioustcg on his last turn he litteraly look his trash before doing his double tempest kick.. no trigger tempest kick to kill the black moria on field. at this point either he doesnt know how to play his own deck , or else he got bride by someone to throw ''unvolontary'' the game because you had to put pressure faster with multiple body .. he had that , he could have rip the don ramp with the trigger tempest kick but he didnt , he could have put the rp law to 1-2 life with double who who and leader if he didnt swing before killing both blocker sanji and queen.. but he didnt , its called throwing hard every turn
