I just realized that the law player missed play on 23:48. He was supposed to attack with 8K on the flrst attack to bait out the 0 cost event and 1k counter and after attacked with 7k with leader. And after play Kid and killer to attack for 8k, if the life wasnt another 2K counter, he would have won
Not really, Lucci would just take the first 8k attack. As long as long the last life is a 1k he wins (would have been the same scenario as what happened in the video if the Law player decided to swing 8k lead then 8k Kid/Killer)
I don't like the Blackbeard Leader because when i think of it this way: The players discards one card to activate the effect. So basically playing the 4 cost Black Perona onPlay effect on themselves. Since it has no other positive effect, the deck might be a bit slow to compete with all the cheat out character or other good effects leaders, but we'll see.
10:31 if the law player would have use reiju for 4 cost and get the raise max , put down zoro and raise max bottom deck kaku and leave opponent with nothing on the turn he put the first gecko , he would have been in a better spot
I 100% agree, it’s just so hard to think like that in the moment though because you don’t know what you’ll draw. I wonder if you have an assumption that “I’ll have good odds to hit x card because I haven’t seen one yet” & take that risk
He didnt draw 1 gordon/raise max since the beginning so the odds was pretty high to go with this as first and the worst case he could have drop the Kid Killer instead of Queen to put more pressure on lethal
I tried really hard after to look & see what it was, I think it might be a Who's Who? Looked like a shade of red but had a regular rare grey box for the text. For sure not clear tho
Likely trying to starve them of resources. Lucci was very reliant on having the right cards at the right time, giving them damage early raises their chances of having those pieces. Hindsight is 20/20 but Law likely would have won if they swung there and went for two 8k swings on the last turn.

@castleford2591 I find that weird how it works in this game. Usually from other games I've played the card doesn't go to trash until it fully resolves. But I guess it is what it is
I think since there is no event activation zone on the Field, event activate and resolve on the trash, maybe in the future they will add a event activation zone.
I noticed that too in this video, I'm going to try to mess with some settings before the next tournament. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not crazy & heard it too!
The bar for balance has dropped so low that people are excited to see Law lose to Lucci, the current best deck for Black, the overwhelmingly best colour for over a year.
maybe the best overall color is black, but idk how you don't see Law absolutely dominate the previous OP08 tournaments & not get excited to see a new CS winner
@@atrocioustcg Because I spent a long time waiting for Sakazuki ban in order to see a more interesting meta and he's almost immediately overshadowed by something worse. @@JackJackedJack well yeah.. he’s a really good leader why wouldn’t people play with leaders meant to win? 🥇 but also I feel like that’s because law was so accessible in the starter deck compared to some of the other leaders and deck builds. Let’s go I’ve been waiting for this one want to see how law got taken down
It was such a great game!!! Really glad I was able to record it without knowing the result
Good god thankfully rp law finally gets beaten. Ggs to both of them
It was a really good game overall, & it was nice to commentate a RP Law game NOT in their favor 😂
I am really excited about the new blackbeard!
I think it's a really neat effect!! It'll be curious if his support has draw with it that isn't draw x & trash the same amount
Also Blackbeard looks interesting but I’m not a black player so I’ll leave him to the good black players to figure him out
Netdecking is an underrated strategy that we don't talk enough about
Quality videos overall in this game
honestly such a fun game to watch!
YESSSSS Lets go Lucci
LOVE TO SEE IT
Can anyone tell what the last life card was for the lucci? He flipped it over but hard to see. Did it have counter?

Yeah that's a good question. He could've attacked for 8k and then attacked with kid and killer for 9K. Maybe I'm wrong but that was a huge misplay
He didn’t swing because if lucci counters, he will be at three in trash and be able to KO the pudding if he had a lucci in hand
Finally not a law mirror match for the finals 😅
I know I've made so many Law videos lately LOL
anyone know what lucchi's last life was?
I think it was maybe a Who's Who, but it's not clear enough to be a confident answer
Is there any more OP07 Rob Lucci matches to cover?
Or do you have any source for them?
There’s more on the way & a couple other Lucci games sprinkled on the channel!

Technically the player going first has to decide whether or not they mulligan first - it's in the rules.

I was hoping someone would point this out LOL
Btw I don’t think the ruling on tempest kick you said is correct. You need to have the 10 in trash before activating it to get the -3 cost
No. You need to have 9. You activate it. It goes to the trash. You draw a card. And since you have 10 cards in trash you get the -3.

Shutting off your opponents abilities seems good to me
It’s a costly effect but it can do a ton of damage at the right time imo
Having no cost reduction really hurt the law
yeah the big think was the lack of gordon / raise max despite his abundance of draw

Ehhhh im not sure after a lot of thought, I honestly think he was just screwed either way
Terrible game design
im not sure I fully agree, but I think it all depends if they decide that certain things need adjusted like how they did with Moby Dick or Cabaji
