Thanks for Profi Press for building the amazing machine for our videos! And this is just the start! Lot more interesting new press stuff coming. While you are waiting those videos you can go check out their press models here rhtc-workshoppress.com/ I am just visiting Anni so I don't spend too much time on the comments right away but thanks for all the congratulations!
5,000,000 Thanks to Profi Press team. Amazing 21st Century press technology. Prrritti Guud! Looking forward to seeing the team in some future HPC videos.
Awesome! You should consider offering a cute little hydraulic press on your website. I built a small bottle jack press for my Brooklyn NYC apartment, but it would be great to have something motorized.
Very nice to get a custom built one as well to ensure it will handle the harsh load conditions well, when used like this. That power unit was quite an upgrade to their standard ones (higher power) - it will be really nice to have the speed and high force at the same time
I hope you will revisit the bullet proof toilet paper and see if you can make double the bullet proof paper with double the power! Or will TP just blow up with 300 tons pressure?
My favorite quote is from Lauri when him and Temo were building the metal hoops. Temo was doing some, let's say, practicing questionable safety methods for taking a very long strong straight pipe and bending it into a circle using the medium lathe I believe to twist the pipe and Lauri said hahaha he said " Timo is doing this because he has already" well i wont do it justice. Just watch the video to find out. It's worth it probably funniest thing said from any video in my opinion very old video making hoops for anni
Sorry for the some weird artifacts with the sound on some points. I had microphone problem and there was a lot of sound from making other hydraulic presses at the factory so I had to use some AI magic noise removal trickery to make this sound as good as possible.
Normally salesmanship on my favorite YT channels is a put off, but because its directly in your line and you were as excited as a little boy on Christmas morning, I enjoyed that thoroughly.
Sponsorships like this can also be a win/win for all involved as it gives the manufacturer a chance to play around and try out some new ideas or for the staff to have some fun.
Lauri is the best hydraulic press tester, well done Profi Press. That HPU motor is huge, high volume and high pressure needs big horse power or kiloWatt. Very interesting 👌, thanks for sharing
When you talked about merch, I got a crazy idea: If you're doing merch, maybe Profi Press could make a cute little working model press that would fit as an executive desktop toy. Perfect for crushing spent office supplies when you're bored at the office! 🤪
@@manum234 2000 euros minimum is my guess. But ok I take it back 2600-3400 euros is what I imagine they would be and they would have to sell it at and even then need to sell over 850 of them to break even....but that's just my ignorant guess.
PROFI looks like a top company with so many in-house design and manufacturing abilities, many thanks to them for supporting your channel. I can't get over the size of the hydraulic pack (22kw motor) on the new press, so I believe we're going to be treated to some great RUclips chaos :)
Now THIS is what I like to see! As a Mechanical Engineer (now retired) I spent about half of my professional career dealing with Hydraulics and Pneumatics and the machines involved. Along with helping customers with their own custom-made machines. Good stuff!
LAURI, seeing your channel and seeing the real uses for the press and the fun crushes. My dad was a machinist. So seeing the making of the new press and even seeing your dad using his tools as they were made for. It's all good fun. Makes me feel connected to my dad, who's gone now. And Finnish accents is very close to my dad's Hungarian accent. So it's so good.
Awesome press and I can’t wait to see what you can do with it. The two guys that join your video today and particularly the one on the right must’ve been nervous as hell because he acted very strange. Cheers.
This press sounds amazing. It's clearly been designed very specifically for your needs. Very cool. Can't wait to see what it does for the content, but I wanted to watch this video first.
Thanks for the video, that's great to see. I design hydraulic power units so it's always interesting for me to see how other people put these together. So there are three pumps all driven from one motor, I'm guessing they are aluminium external gear pumps, fine for your lower pressures but I wouldn't like to rely on for greater than 200 bar, unless of course you have something fancier like internal gear pumps. In practice I always find it hard to couple a standard external gear pump to a more robust pump using standard parts, even though it is theoretically possible, I guess the advantage there is that they have all of that manufacturing capability in house so they can probably make things fit together themselves.
@Beyond the Press Lauris finnish-english accent is just GOLD! 😁😎 It’s a main factor, along with his personality and humour, why I watch this channel! Actually, Lauris finnish-style very clear pronunciation makes what he says even more understandable than most native English speaking people! Finnish rally English and then there’s cultural gems like Lauri! Cheers from Finland, city of Vaasa! 🍻
18:54 I heard new merch? Can they also make tiny presses which could be used as nut cracker but in the shape of the big 300 ton press? :D That would be funny! :D
This is epic man! An insane machine for our amusement lol. Also the channel merch is unbeatable indeed haha! Thanks for your super fun and interesting content!
I can see how excited you guys are about this new machine and expanding the channel. Here's to the next big thing you'll be announcing on your main channel: The Subscriber Ten Million.
Impressive press, looking forward to videos! I grew up in a town with a large press manufacturer called Fjellman Press, they made one press for CERN with a pressing power of 32 000 tons 🤯
Cant believe how far this channel has come. They went from crushing playdoh with no budget to buying a 300 ton press that must have costed a few 10s of thousands. Im so glad they haven't changed everthing or changed the main character like the Waterjet Channel did.
I believe he said in the HPC video that Profi didn't charge him for the press. Given that his Hydraulic Press Channel has over 8 million subscribers, Profi is going to get a lot of publicity for that investment.
@vihreelinja4743 @JamieStuff i didn't realise they got it for free. I wasn't paying full attention while watching but damn, they just get given stuff now. (now i understand why he had to declare he wasn't sponsored)
When the guy replied to the question about pressing frying pans I thought: "He sounds dutch". looking up the company, yes, it's in Schaijk, The Netherlands. You can always quickly pick out the Dutch accents in a few seconds.
@@reallydonotdoThe SI unit for pressure is the pascal. 100 kPa is equal to 1 bar, and the bar has been sort of deprecated as a result. A pressure of 1 bar is derived from the unit of force called the dyne, which predates SI and is part of the centimetre-gram-second system - itself displaced by the metre-kilogram-second system which later became SI.
18:52 maybe make a tiny press for merch? To put on the office desk. Like using the very small hydraulic parts from rc-construction machines and power from a small 5 V 10-15 W motor plugged into USB.
what grade of steel is the 300t press frame. its looks very! powerful and beautiful and ergonomically perfect. I wish this company was here in Australia.
@7:00 stamping press maybe? What's the weight of the table halves? How do you move pieces to the table to work on that are too heavy to lift? Would it be worth adding slots in the table for a forklift arm to fit into?
Having the smaller pump will also save you heating the oil excessively too. Pressure drop across the pressure relief valve multiplied by the flow rate = kW.
"Older than safety" - haha that's a good one. Wow, that is quite a press! Do you have any spec pages, diagrams, or hydraulic schematics you could share just for curiosity's sake?
I wonder if there’s a way to install heavy duty shocks between the base frame and the table to blunt the effect of recoil and mute the transfer of slam force when an object explodes in the press. They could be fully extended and locked in neutral position and during the press itself, and only engage in the event of a recoil. Not sure if anything could take the force of 300 tons but food for thought.
@@calvinculpalt Standard automotive shock absorber can take maybe 5 tons before failing. If you want to hold 300 tons stable, you would need a much stronger setup. It seems that this press was heavy duty enough to not bend with 300 tons so it shouldn't kick back either.
Most entertaining commercial for industrial equipment EVER! if only I had a few hundred thousand dollars in the entertainment budget for a home installation...
