I started c25k in October 2018. It's the best exercise I've ever did and I'm still doing. It shows that if you've got the right plan in place . Running if done properly can actually be addictive and you actually look forward to running . Great for physical and mental health
I recently started running a bit more, when I started I was doing only a block (literally one block) and was 222 lbs today im celebrating 20 pounds off my body (202.6lbs) and the ability to run up to 5 miles!!! Guys I’m so hype and yes it changes your mood and just about everything.. For those that have just started, don’t worry if you only run a block (like me) just keep it up! There’ll be pain on the feet, a couple of injuries and you’re going to have to rest it off for a week or so but don’t quit and keep it up, don’t stop, it gets better I promise!
Thanks guys, I've just done my second run, I just want to keep running, now I get what people are saying it being addictive, so happy to have started running

I also do strongman events once per week and bodybuilding work. My goal is to look like a superhero without competing. For me, I prefer to swim but it's less convenient and I find it easier to burn calories with a quick run. I also find running more motivational because you can pick a different route every time, go further and faster whereas in a pool you're a little restricted. If you have black toes nails, you should keep them trimmed as much as comfortable, and get shoes that have the heals at the same height as the toes and plenty of room in the toes for toe splay. It’s not normal for people under the marathon level.
I don’t run til it hurts unless someone else is with me because peer pressure. I like to go as fast and as long as feels good. Some walking sometimes. Which is not running haha
A day away from finishing couch to 5K and loving it... but often having lower back pains after or during the later day (not while running). Anyone have any experience with this?
I'm more prone to black toe nails if I walk for a long time . Running never gave me black toes. I only got Achilles heels from wearing cheap running shoes or kept running in old shoes.
@@runningchannel It's complicated. I think it's because my hiking shoes need to be broken in! My running shoes prevented black toes from walking (on paved roads) caused by my hiking shoes. Also wearing my running shoes for hiking over boulders and tree roots gave me black toes.

And also only if you're hormonally in a good place and not chronically stressed. Human physiology and body weight is not purely a thermodynamic equation. Like they said, the key is to build up slowly.
@@alhemmings8554 hormones have nothing to do with it. Same as genetics. A calorie deficit is just pure fact. As well as your TDEE and NEAT, but if you want to lose fat, you must be in a calorie deficit.
@@darrenkelly7271 Im afraid they do. An overall energy deficit is required but I reiterate that it is not the only requirement.
How do we get calorie deficit? I’m new to running and need tips and I also struggle with getting about of breath :( need help please
If you have black toes nails, you should keep them trimmed as much as comfortable, and get shoes that have the heals at the same height as the toes and plenty of room in the toes for toe splay. It’s not normal for people under the marathon level.
I have ran 5km today 🙃 and it was very good 👍
Nice work!
How fast?
@@jorgeo1492 Not fast just run 🏃♀️
I don’t run til it hurts unless someone else is with me because peer pressure. I like to go as fast and as long as feels good. Some walking sometimes. Which is not running haha
A day away from finishing couch to 5K and loving it... but often having lower back pains after or during the later day (not while running). Anyone have any experience with this?
Not in our experience unfortunately!
I would say fortunately rather than unfortunately for you! Thanks for the reply. Who knows, maybe it is unrelated to the running anyway.
I'm so slow my phone said,'step-up your walking' I said stupid phone I'm running, two days ago, for real.
I don't get rungry, cycling on the other hand..........
Nom nom nom nom...
I really want a kit kat now
I had an ingrown toe nail removed in January caused by running keep your nails trimmed people when running
warren dale ouch!! Definitely trim those nails!
I think that's a general life hack.
Can i loose weight on my face after getting fat from taking meds??? I want to loose weight on my face its gone round...im unhappy
I'm more prone to black toe nails if I walk for a long time . Running never gave me black toes. I only got Achilles heels from wearing cheap running shoes or kept running in old shoes.
Interesting! Everyone is different I guess!
@@runningchannel It's complicated. I think it's because my hiking shoes need to be broken in! My running shoes prevented black toes from walking (on paved roads) caused by my hiking shoes. Also wearing my running shoes for hiking over boulders and tree roots gave me black toes.
Don't run too often has it can effect and lower testosterone levels. Don't go completely mad with it but do it in moderation.
Everything in moderation 👌
What are those two talking about?? Lol 😂😊😂
I didn't watch the video but is the answer "you travel faster"?
You should watch the video to find out!
I remember just getting up and running
No science
Just instinct
I've noticed I get to where I'm going a bit quicker.
I'm not getting sleep these days if I don't run every day
you still get aches and pains after running for about ten years!!!
+Running-man means you’re working hard 🤷🏻♀️
I run 3 kilo metres per day for 4 times a week was that good or I need to improve please comment friends
I get a sore achilles and low back when i run
This means that you have a problem with your posture. You may need to correct your gait.
