Lovely to see u back in Russia again, I really hope 2025 is a good year for you and your families. Especially for the record lover: Krasny Prospekt in Novosibirsk is considered one of the longest straight streets in the world. 12 Its length is 6.7 km.

Wow, it seems like Novosibirsk is currently experiencing a construction boom, just like every other Russian city. For several years, almost nothing was built here, and now they're building like crazy in every city.
@@MattandJulia Not just cities, even little towns. I live in a town of 35,000, the pedestrian malls are all renovated, prefab public toilets are appearing like mushrooms after rain. Historic buildings are being renovated. The bus fleet was replaced. Housing "companies" are renovating common apartment facilities.
Mate i used to live in Republic Tuva it was -40 degrees (in both celcicus|fahrenheit) and smog covered all over the city it was frantic😂. I'm glad i moved to Novosibirsk it's not perfect but i'd say it's liveable
Never heard of Tuva... but I checked it up on Wikipedia. Kyzyl is the capital... it's frigid cold in December and January... and yes, there's a real problem with smog in the winter. I'm from Ireland, and I'm glad I live in Ireland. I couldn't cope with the cold in Siberia. The smog is a problem in Yakutsk as well.
@@GouganeBarra-u4t Ireland is fine. Yeah it's brutally cold on these months, it depends on where you live in Siberia if you live in Novosibirsk it's not that bad, but if you live in Yakutsk, Chita, Kyzyl, Amur then it's total ass. I can't cope with it either, but if you think about living in a warmer place i would recommend you to move to Hawaii or Australia :)
Being Canadian eventhough I live in British Columbia this city's climatic layout replicates Edmonton, Alberta with a metro area of 1.7 million. Ahhh, my home town. Haven't been there in ages.It has changed so much, by the lates 80s it was kind of dusty and half-forgotten, now it seems to be doing great.

Sorry Matt had to get questioned. But I absolutely love listening Matt speak Russian😊. Sounds beautiful. Reminds me of how my Armenian best friend speaks Russian, but with a different accent:))
He has to be questioned. It's a prudent action. The uk, his home country has gone ' Balls to the Wall ' in support of the Only country in the world 🌍 that erects statues and names Streets after Halocaust War Criminals 😮.
With all the conflict going on currently you Matt & Juliet present you content absolutely perfect & what I love most is the honesty & integrity you hold in high regard. Like I said me and my wife would love to visit. She was in Russia in 1980 before the wall came down. She was There with Camps Crusade for Christ. She said how nice the people were there. It’s shame we can’t get along. Maybe one day.
A brilliant video and without sounding soppy it made me sad because myself and wife really want to visit , as far as gov.uk saying don’t travel that’s just laughable as we’ve been to countries on the list that are far safer than walking down Watford high street on a Saturday night . We’re both 53 and we live for this type of travel as it keeps our brains moving lol , loved it Thankyou both. Ps we’re off to kosovo in may and Uzbekistan in august 21:30
The whole time I watched your video, I wondered why I did not find your channel before. Throughout the video I smiled. The recommendation for Gazprom coffee. was cool. I have been interested in Russia for years now but never visited it so far but that will change in the second part of this year. I will go there for three months. And for sure I will get some gazprom coffee 🙂
So nice to see friendly customer service at multiple locations. Thanks for helping to break the stereotypes! Seems like the French could learn from the Russians!!! 😅
Hi guys. Part 2. What's the economy in Russia like now, since the last time your were there? In the west we hear the sanctions are having a real effect, interest rates are sky high as is inflation, business is suffering, and the cost of living has rocketed for the average Russian. What do you see and what do the locals say? A video on this in Jan 2025 would be very interesting. Thanks :)
Don't believe everything you hear in the West about Russia. Over 90% is lies. The Russian economy grew more than every single western economy. Not my words but that of the western dominated IMF and World bank. Russia is currently the 4th biggest economy in the world in terms of the Purchasing Power Parity which shows the true performance of a country's economy in comparison with other countries in the world. The West especially the European Union and UK have stagnated badly after losing access to cheap Russian energy. They're now buying more expensive American LNG and more expensive refined petroleum products from India which buys the crude oil from Russia. The level of lies and delusion in the Western media is sickening to say the least.
Russia's economy is much better than the economies of Western countries. It could be even better if the adherents of Western philosophy did not sit in the economic bloc of the government. But they can also be dealt with. It's just that so far VVP does not want any repressions.
I went to Kyrgzstan with my Wife for 5 weeks. Mixed views about it. Up in the mountains, amazing, but we got scammed in Bishkek and when we called the police, they tried to scam us. This was in the summer of 2008 and it was swelteringly hot. We also took that road to Osh and then went overland into China. It was quite a trip. Maybe we even went to the same Gazprom garage? I can't remember. I'd love to visit Novosibirsk. Looks like a great city. I love that hat you bought and it really suits. The lady seller was so lovely. If and when I ever visit, I will visit her stall and maybe buy a hat too. This issue with warmer winters, I think is related to the pole shift. I think Russia is in store for warmer winters and that will mean higher crop yields and a workable arctic sea route. These are all big positives.

Позже приватизировали, не знаю историю дальше.

@@MattandJulia In general, yes, change a bit, but it is difficult to judge by the video, central park change a lot, streets been upgrade it, I watch news Novosibirsk, they show what's going on in town.
I love watching your Russia trips. Greetings from Alaska.
Interesting videos from all over the world but somehow I prefer your videos from Russia. Watching you from Montenegro. Regards
I'm going to do it, I'm going to be a selling piece! My great-great-grandfather emigrated from Poland in the late 19th century to the US. I've always wanted to learn my father-language. 60% for life on Rosetta Stone?! That's a really great deal! I'm going to learn Polish! Thank you, Matt & Julia!
Wonderful! Good luck ❤️🙌🏼
Wow, it seems like Novosibirsk is currently experiencing a construction boom, just like every other Russian city. For several years, almost nothing was built here, and now they're building like crazy in every city.
Yeah, it seems lots of cities are going through a construction boom!
I found you today
Love seeing the country
Love from Wales
One day I will travel this part of the world.
I love watching videos of Russia, lovely people, great culture. I’d love to visit one day❤
Mate i used to live in Republic Tuva it was -40 degrees (in both celcicus|fahrenheit) and smog covered all over the city it was frantic😂.
@@OzPozzy278 В Чите не самые сильные морозы. Главное правильно одеваться.. В домах тепло. С центральным отоплением 25-28 градусов по Цельсию.
Being Canadian eventhough I live in British Columbia this city's climatic layout replicates Edmonton, Alberta with a metro area of 1.7 million. The Winters are probably not as severe as Edmonton is further south even than Moscow. Interesting post thank you. It makes me look forward to my May trip to Riga, Latvia after visiting rekatives in Belgium. Merci et a un bon hiver 2025 !! 🇨🇦🇧🇪 and 🇱🇻
Обязательно заедь в Россию, Санкт-Петербург радом с Прибалтикой))) По нашим, сибирским меркам, очень близко😅
Но оставь это на десерт, на конеу путешествия! Не пожалеешь!
Удачной поездки😊
Hope ur Kemerovo always brings me memories from 2004 when I adopted my daughter.
Ahh, looking forward to sharing how it’s changed with you ❤️
You two are one of the best travel vloggers on you tube. I like you both because you’re both humble and very down to earth, you both take the time to read the comments too. Stay safe both. ❤
Thanks so much 😊
You really do communicate like a native speaker of Russian, Matt-and Julia, I cannot tell that English is not your first language! Good job both of you! As for gas-station coffee, Matt-here in the Eastern United States, WaWa coffee is wildly popular-and that’s from a gas station :-)
Thank you so much ❤️
Interesting! Looking forward to giving WaWa a try in the future 😉
Ahhh, my home town. Haven't been there in ages.It has changed so much, by the lates 80s it was kind of dusty and half-forgotten, now it seems to be doing great.
It's always good to see Julia "coming home". I hope your brother and sister are doing well. Will you get to see them on this trip? Take care, stay safe and as always, have a fun and rewarding time. 🫂❤️🙏🕊
Thank you! ❤️ Of course we will 🥰
Sorry Matt had to get questioned.
But I absolutely love listening Matt speak Russian😊. Sounds beautiful. Reminds me of how my Armenian best friend speaks Russian, but with a different accent:))
Thank you so much! Really appreciate that! 🤗❤️
He has to be questioned. It's a prudent action. The uk, his home country has gone ' Balls to the Wall ' in support of the Only country in the world 🌍 that erects statues and names Streets after Halocaust War Criminals 😮.
Matt, you've certainly mastered Russian! You sound like a native speaker! 🎉
Thank you! Спасибо! ❤️
I'd love to hear how Matt became so fluent.
Me too! @@fvmiller1193
Am also curious when you are alone with each other do you speak Russian or English mostly?
Yes! I was very impressed! My parents were Russian immigrants and we only spoke Russian at home and he speaks better than me 🤣🤣
Love the Russian vlogs, cant wait for the Kemerovo one there my favorite.
Heloooo lovely couple I enjoy all your episodes ❤ great quality and detail
Thank you so much 🤗
With all the conflict going on currently you Matt & Juliet present you content absolutely perfect & what I love most is the honesty & integrity you hold in high regard.
Lots of RUclipsrs use content to count dollars but regardless if you make money from it you’re always keeping things real & interesting. One of my favourite channels by far, cheers from DownUnder 🇦🇺🍻👍
Thanks so much, that means the world ❤️🙌🏼
Safe travels to you both.
Thank you! ❤️
Like I said me and my wife would love to visit. She was in Russia in 1980 before the wall came down. She was There with Camps Crusade for Christ. She said how nice the people were there. It’s shame we can’t get along. Maybe one day.
we get along just fine.
First time seeing your videos, glad i did! Love how you guys show the city and day to day experiences
Thank you very much ❤️
The Russian vlogs are my favorite!!
Lots more to come! ❤️
Such a good service in Novosibirsk is so rarely to meet nowadays.
Ps we’re off to kosovo in may and Uzbekistan in august 21:30
come visit, what's stopping you?
@ nothing just sorting it now , pretty simple , London to Istanbul onto Moscow ,
Who wants to support a fascist dictatorship?@@Pythoner
I miss Russia so much , and just love your travels ...
Welcome to the channel! ❤️
So good to see you both back in Russia! ❤️💙🤍 Beautiful hat, Julia 😍
Thank you so much! 🤗❤️
Welcome to Novosibirsk!

I didn't know your Gran, but gosh do I miss her. ❤

Wow 👏🏾. Thought that was some region in Moscow 😂. Russia is really full of great surprises 👌. With love 💘 and respect from Mozambique 🇲🇿.
Looks so beautiful in the winter.
Love winter ❄️❤️
So nice to see friendly customer service at multiple locations. Thanks for helping to break the stereotypes! Seems like the French could learn from the Russians!!! 😅
Hi guys. Part 2. What's the economy in Russia like now, since the last time your were there? In the west we hear the sanctions are having a real effect, interest rates are sky high as is inflation, business is suffering, and the cost of living has rocketed for the average Russian. What do you see and what do the locals say? A video on this in Jan 2025 would be very interesting. Thanks :)
Things are never quite how they are portrayed in the media. We will make a video about the sanctions situation soon ❤️

Watching from Perth Australia, it’s 45 degrees C here yesterday, watching you guys in -6 is amazing. Thanks for sharing your journeys and especially Russia which is my favourite ❤
Thanks for watching! Love to scorching Perth! ❤️🇦🇺
this is the hottest winter in my life) (I’m 21 y.o) last winter at this time we had -38
@@blue_blad7141 I couldn’t imagine -38 😂
Hi I love all your trips and videos. When are you coming to South Africa. Suggest the winter for Julia 😂
Thank you! ❤️ At some point for sure, there is one particular adventure from Cape Town we are desperate to do!
greetings from the town of Reggio Emilia in Italy. I really liked this video in Russia. I really like Russia, tradition and I really like the Russian language too. I will probably watch your next video. Happy year 2025!🎉❤
