You guys should do one about the Pontiac Firebird. I mean the car is named after a giant majestic bird flying through the air like an enormous ball of fire!!
I’ll give you the short version of how GM made cars: GM had a bunch of old out of touch farts running the joint and they stole an idea from someone more talented than them and made a car that idiots loved. The End.
Firebird/Trans Am is more exciting than the Camaro. They already made a Camaro video. The Trans Am ruled the entire 70s even when power was being choked out.
Justin Ross Yea exactly however I remeber when we got the news at dealership nobody was suprised ,we sold twice the amount of buicks. The G6 did decent but the rest sat for the whole year in some cases.

But I could bolt on a 1970 front end and tail lights... nobody would know it's a 1972.

The 67 is my all time favorite muscle car. It's a damn shame we didn't get to see a modern reimagining like they did with the mustang, Camaro, Challenger and charger.
Own a 2004 GTO since December 2004. It’s now has 650 crank hp or 563rwhp through a RPM trans and 3200 vig stall. It’s a blast to drive and turns heads. Pictures don’t do it justice. Especially if your modified.

Miss my '69 GTO! 400 ci 4 barrel 4spd w/high spd rear end.. was actually EZ on gas when just driving around when not leaving the neighbor's cars behind!
The '04-'06 GTOs are so under appreciated, even scoring a super minor segment in this video about GTOs lol. They may have been an overseas import but those were amazing cars, Pontiac just did a piss poor job marketing it. They came with the same LS2 from the Corvette, the interior was almost entirely leather and suede (better quality than a Merc or BMW at that) and it had touring car handling, all for just north of 30K. It was cheaper than an STi or Evo! There were no other cars that offered even close to the same bang for the buck and hasn't been since.
Hay guys i really appreciate yall doing a segment on the gto that included the 04-06 gto but yall really under rated them. For starters the 04 was an f body that had dual exhaust only on the left side and no hood scoops, only had the ls1 and 17 inch wheels the 05 you could opt for the true dual the 18inch wheels and the hood scoops with the ls2 the 06 all of that was standard. Its drive train is the exact same as the Corvette and it looks sleek and beautiful in the right color my favorite is spice metallic red and it doesn't look like what it is which almost makes it a sleeper and doesn't really get to much popo attention. Also because of only 3 years of production there wasn't that many of them and many have been hacked up or wrecked itll be a sought after classic. Not to mention they came in manual it didn't have all the electronics new cars do and the interior is awsome. Unlike the mustang or Camaro a 6 ft passenger can fit comfortably in the back seats and the back seat are more comfortable than the front and the front is very comfortable. Its gear ratio is awsome its surprisingly good on gas given you keep your foot out of it. It has very precise handling. And with long tubes and a catalytic converter removed it sounds orgasmic.
Cars Simplified you mean the 04 to 06s? hell, after my 03 mustang died, I was looking really hard for a decent GTO in those years. Cant believe around here in good 'ol Texas they still go for around 10k

5lcalais1 I drive a vy ecotec and I love it, it may not be as fast as the v8s but I still get a kick out of it and thier super cheap too which is always good
Linsanityneedsme mate even here in Oz they're still a good $14k USD for the LS1 version (less for the one with the Buick 3.8 V6 though), and it's just that people think that rare = good, but really the reason they're rare is that nobody wanted them. they're solid as a street car, but only because of the platform they're built on.
My father owned two 1968 GTOs from 1982 all the way to 2004. Sold one of them for $2,500 and the other for $4,000 to pay property taxes on a house we ended up losing in the 2009 recession. Selling those cars has been his biggest regret ever since, because they were always supposed to be passed down to me when I got old enough to drive. One day I will buy him another GTO and myself one as well. I love these cars so much.
G.T.O. Ronny & the Daytonas Little GTO You're really lookin' fine Three deuces and a four-speed And a three-eighty-nine Listen to her tachin' up now Listen to her whine C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO.... 1972 got a 66, put 750 double pump holley, isky high lift cam, hooker headers, raced Trans Am 455 SD won, raced 69 charger 440 six pack won, only lost one race to a 66 chevelle 427, i could get front wheels off the ground at start and 2nd gear 11:80 to 11:90 quarter miles had so much fun for 2 years sold it to buddys brother 3 days later he got 2 exhibition of speed tickets in front of his high school same day same cop he sold it
My 67 GTO is probably my all time favorite car. I was so excited when I heard that Pontiac was bringing back the GTO until I realized that it wasn't a GTO. At least not in the fashion that Ford brought back the Mustang. If GM had gotten behind Pontiac and really brought back the GTO, maybe Pontiac would still be in business. Shame on you GM!!!
Grandpa had an all black '67 GTO and a '65 Grand Prix. I think they are the most beautiful cars Detroit has ever made. Totally gonna get a restored GTO one of these days.
Being an owner of a 2006 GTO, I was so pumped to hear what you had to say about it!...and then nothing. The Monaro platform is "bitchin'" and I love the look on peoples' faces when they hear the LS2 screaming.
My 1st car was the cousin of the GTO and I loved it. Small block 400 (not the original motor). Buckets seats. Borla pipes( that sounded like your best nightmare). I’ll let my cars folks bask in knowing what that car is...
Just saw one of them loud, fast, LS1 thieven ashtrays driving down the road and wondered if there was an up to speed on it.... of course there was!! This is the type of reliability that is unheard of today. Love you guys!
I had an 04 GTO and it was one of the best cars I’ve ever driven. It’s platform is on par with the muscle car from early this decade. It was just so well balanced.
Just recently found your Channel and just let me say it's...freaking awesome! Especially love the "everything you need to know" ones, can't stop watching them. The host it's so funny, it's entertaining, and educational in a short amount of time. Keep them coming they're awesome, thanks.
B-B-But what about the trans-am ;~;
wannabe lawnmower already did one but it had got deleted
I've seen you before somewhere, I love the name "wannabe lawnmower" good meme
Cringe
Why tho?
G.T.O.
Ronny & the Daytonas
Little GTO
You're really lookin' fine
Three deuces and a four-speed
And a three-eighty-nine
Listen to her tachin' up now
Listen to her whine
C'mon and turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO....
Gonna save all my money
And buy a GTO ...
Get a helmet and a roll bar
And I'll be ready to go (turnin' it on, blowin' it out)
Take it out to Pomona
And let 'em know, yeah yeah
That I'm the coolest thing around
Little buddy, gonna shut you down
When I turn it on, wind it up, blow it out, GTO..
1972 got a 66, put 750 double pump holley, isky high lift cam, hooker headers, raced Trans Am 455 SD won, raced 69 charger 440 six pack won, only lost one race to a 66 chevelle 427, i could get front wheels off the ground at start and 2nd gear 11:80 to 11:90 quarter miles had so much fun for 2 years sold it to buddys brother 3 days later he got 2 exhibition of speed tickets in front of his high school same day same cop he sold it
The need to do the Bronco, and come on add some stuff people
Wolfghost729 think they did it already lol
every week i hope its gonna be the bronco lol
instant like because beard and type r still in the back :)
1970 is my favorite GTO. I used to have 1. It was fun.
Murrrrica and Bald Eagles 🇺🇸
Angel Cruz f*** yeah
And monster freakin trucks
My 67 GTO is probably my all time favorite car. I was so excited when I heard that Pontiac was bringing back the GTO until I realized that it wasn't a GTO. At least not in the fashion that Ford brought back the Mustang. If GM had gotten behind Pontiac and really brought back the GTO, maybe Pontiac would still be in business. Shame on you GM!!!
Randy .Thompson what a bastardized version that was, mundane coupe w/a great engine.
Grandpa had an all black '67 GTO and a '65 Grand Prix. I think they are the most beautiful cars Detroit has ever made. Totally gonna get a restored GTO one of these days.

THE GOAT
Being an owner of a 2006 GTO, I was so pumped to hear what you had to say about it!...and then nothing. The Monaro platform is "bitchin'" and I love the look on peoples' faces when they hear the LS2 screaming.
Anthony Fanella yeah they say it's ugly but it fit...that gto concept was hideous.
My 1st car was the cousin of the GTO and I loved it. Small block 400 (not the original motor). Buckets seats. Borla pipes( that sounded like your best nightmare). I’ll let my cars folks bask in knowing what that car is...
Love to see Up To Speed:
Alfa Romeo
Lancia
Dodge Charger
Dodge Challenger
*RAMCHARGERS!* 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!! They already did the blazer and bronco.
I still own my 06 goat and I love how she's underestimated as a sleeper 🤣
It was a perfect gt car
346 engine, 346 re
MAZDASPEED!!
And Audi Quattro rally cars, and the road cars! Urs4, s6, 200, please?🙏

Just recently found your Channel and just let me say it's...freaking awesome! Especially love the "everything you need to know" ones, can't stop watching them. The host it's so funny, it's entertaining, and educational in a short amount of time. Keep them coming they're awesome, thanks. Would really like to see one on the Oldsmobile 442 and maybe just Oldsmobile.
