Indeed, im kinda curious about most of the team under new coaching to see how much of it was player's fault compared to scheme and not putting them in best position to succeed.

Fr, Riq had a bad year, but realistically he was recovering from surgery and seemed to have a mental block. But he CAN play well. Very well. We’ll see how he does.

Byron Murphy II - Great value...not a sexy pick like Jared Verse would have been, but a need. Will start day 1 over Dre'mont Jones at DE. #13 Big Board - selected at 16. 13/16. A
Christian Haynes - Excellent value...not a sexy pick, but SEA's #1 need. Will start day 1 at RG with Bradford moving up to LG. 66/81 A+
Tyrice Knight - Big reach...hopefully validated by a unique scheme fit for Macdonald? Will be LB depth/ST this year...maybe replaces Baker or Dodson next year? 189/118. C-
AJ Barner - Another reach...kind of a head scratcher. Macdonald said post draft that he'll play ST right away...got to think he's TE3. Replaces Pharaoh Brown at TE2 next year? 171/121. C+
Nehemiah Pritchett - Good value, good pick. Excited to see more competition in the DB room. CB2 across from Riq with Spoon in the slot? Or CB3 in the slot. Versatile. 137/136. A
Sataoa Laumea - Great value, great pick. Will compete with Bradford, Haynes to start; backs up Lucas as RT2. Versatile; LG2, RG2, RT2, future starter. 163/179. A+
D.J. James - Best value pick of the draft! Good pick. Will compete for the slot corner position as CB4...needs to learn to tackle better. 109/192. A+
Michael Jerrell - Umm okay? Feels like a project. It's a 6th round pick and the guy is a workout monster, but Findlay? Replaces Forsythe at LT2, and competes with Laumea for RT2. 644/207. D
I give the draft on a whole a B+, but with the same players swapped around...not reaching for Knight and Barner in the 4th, but taking James and Pritchett there, and this is an A- draft, so I guess it's still pretty damn good. For those worried about Riq, I wouldn't; I think Macdonald will make him work or they will roll him to FS. Coby Bryant might not have a place as the slot is very competitive. Linebacker is still very thin with poor depth...FA doesn't look good there either.

Getting the OL players was a really solid move. They drafted to shore up what I saw was a young line that will improve their skills to make the Run game better and keep the QB confident
We are looking good this year, I’m excited for this season. A few lil adjustments but we’re getting there
personally I think we are at least 1 more draft away from gettin there, but should be an improved year if the o line can be more consistant.

Mike Macdonald has a knack for getting the best out of his players while still being a players coach. He’s younger that Pete and more relateable to that generation. We will be good on defense. More so want to see how our offense pans out with a new OC with the pieces we have
