Amount of knowledge that you and your dad had. Is unbelievable. Your doing such a good job. I can't believe how much you know. I've been watching a lot of your videos. Extremely smart person.
Thank you for watching! I appreciate the very kind words!
What a privilege to see and hear the engine run. Thank you for sharing this unique part of history.
I wake up before the kids in the morning to wake up, I put on wtt. Weird thinking Matt's voice is usually the first one I hear in the morning lmfao. I learn so much and love it all. Watching some of the videos over again. Can't wait to come visit on day.
Colorado always has nice bikes cars and trucks stashed away, the climate is good on the the old iron!and lots of barns on old property that no ones been on or in in 60 years. Great find
I could listen to this guy all day! What a wealth spring of knowledge!
THANK YOU DENNIS! These bikes really do "belong" at WTT in my opinion. And like no other museum, we all get to see them run!
THANK YOU WTT crew for the crystal clear A/V.
I love this channel. Matt has an encyclopedic knowledge of these beautiful machines. Well done!!
Appreciate your videos .thanks for keeping these historic motorcycles alive.
Amazing the knowledge this guy has for these machines. Really cool...
I took a vacation and stayed in Central City a few years ago. I can see old hill climbers being there! cool town! Awesome bikes!
these are decades before the rat rod/bike era just gorgeous pieces of art (and fast too)
Thanks for the kick, Matt! After seeing this video I decided to go at the office on my ‘55 semi rigid AWO this morning. Hope you’ll keep inspiring others. Good work!
You guys do amazing work.
Loving the videos Matt, hope to see you soon,,,just waiting for the reopening!!
Ocala Fl
Thanks Matt!!
Great knowledge of history
Matt thanks for bringing these racing motorcycles to life for us doin
I have been binge watching these videos since I saw you on bikes and beards. I can’t wait to see it in person.
Thanks for starting it !
That is One hot rod motorcycle.. Incredible history and Presence what a Machine Thanks Matt Great run down enthralling Videos ohh how I would love to visit Dale's Wheels ThroughTime.. For now I'm down here in New Zealand Seasons Greetings to All
Wish you were still doing what's in the barn! Glad I found you guys here tho
Maybe start your own whats in the barn series?
Copy that. One of my all time favorite shows.
The twist your finger on your cheek "reality" production was a joke though. Like the way Dale "found" the trap door and immediately went down. Not realistic at all. Sucked to see WTT pulled into the the contrived scene vanity. I like these here straight forward presentations much better. No producer. No writers. Just Matt and a bike. THANKS TO THE BTS CREW HERE.
@@hyperluminalreality1 I agree, but it was the bikes I enjoyed and the story that came with them. would love to a down a dirty version
Thanks for Sharing... Keep Up the Great Work... Matt and Crew
I really enjoy your channel...
You are so knollagible ,
Back in the 60s we use to watch
the Hell's Angels, and the POBOBS
Race up motor cycle hill ,here in Bloomington California...
The Hell's Angels started in Fontana , and the POBOBS started here in Bloomington..
I can just imagine the smells awesome video! Thanks!
All car and motorcycle museums seem to smell the same, don't they? Just a whiff of old gas, oil, and dusty old leather.
Amazing knowledge and history. Thats a good running bike!
I'm 37. I've wanted a knuck since I saw one at age four. Didn't even see another til the internet came along about a decade later and I started reading about harleys. never thought I'd say it but I'd read a knucklehead for either of both of those gems.
Thanks! It sounds nice! Never seen that model before!
what a magnificent machine... i wish we would had this type of machines in Portugal back in those days...
It's great to learn the history of H/D thru the early 1900s.
Could you please recount the history of the XR series?
I am honored to own a
1984 H/D XR Sportster.
I know that 36 years is a drop in the bucket as far as H/D is concerned but a lot of
"New" H/D riders would like to hear it.
Ride on Thru Time!
Hey Matt, really Enjoying watching and listening, Your Very nag-able! When I have some money will send a donation. Been in that area many times, wish I had known you where there! Thanks!
Your knowledge is amazing, great video.
That may be a shearling seat cover...I had one on my bike as a kid. They were unbelievably comfortable but took a long time to dry out if rained on.
Starting this...what a joyous event...!
If this is the same Floyd Clymer who was a publisher, there is lots more to his story.
Yes, this would be the same "Floyd Clymer" who went on to publish "CYCLE" magazine...
Floyd was an influential man not only in the motorcycle world but the car world too...
😮👍😎
Wow. The 27 is beautiful
😁 that bike is simply gorgeous. imagine seeing her on the road back then obviously hauling butt on the streets, with a blink of a eye shed be gone passing model T's like they were sitting still.
I went to the hill climb on the Olympic Peninsula a few times, i saw a beautiful factory hill climb bike there, i think it was factory, seeing the open valve train covered in dirt, kind of an OMG moment lol
Dear Matt. I miss a Video on your JDH-XR you built for Born Free! I remember a Video where you showed it at the end of the video just for a short time, but sadly I can't find it anymore... Can you please let me know which video it was, or could you maybe even upload a special about it? It is one of the coolest bikes I have ever seen!
Very nice hill climer very cool.👍😆❤️
Would be interesting to try to get this back to the original hill climb version.
Beautifull machine
Balto. Mike
Awesome video… thanks buddy
Sounds wicked, ready to roll !
I feel like I need to know everything about old motorcycles
Drinking game.
Shot every time he says one-of-a-kind
Very informative though :)
Aren't many many bikes that have been highly modified, inevitably referred to as " one of a kind"? Customized, Personalized, Improved, blah blah blah.
Just watching those valves,, what does it have, maybe 3/8 lift at the valve?
thanks
Me ; clicks on these because i know allot about bikes...
Also me ; i dont know shit about bikes
Wow She is a bute, everyone sees beauty in there own way and that is probably one of the coolest that this old vet has seen. That's my idea of perfection even under the dirt. I'm in Winterpark Colorado which makes this painful lol.
Hell yes! Houston we have ignition.!!!!👍😆
I have a 1966 35 cc 2 stroke ? Barn find ? Could you use this ?
I will post a picture.
Or not. Any way, know any one that would want this bike ?
There are amazing
It's so weird to hear the word "chassis" used to describe the frame of a motorcycle. I just hear "frame" all the time, so using the word "chassis" feels somewhat exotic for a two-wheeler 😄. Apologies if this sounds stupid to some.
Do you know what happened to the FHA 8 valve that was found in Australia and sold in America at auction for over $400k US ?
@@ant8222 Thanks for that . I will make plans to get down there when Covid is under control . Have the best day M8 .
The 1937 WLDR has almost NONE of the 1939-* hot parts, including the stepped pin & rod set, cams, big port cylinders, aluminum heads, 4-bolt Linkert.
I understand that most all the engines there have the original pistons and rings, even if the engine was stuck. Gonna smoke. A new class of resto. WTT original running condition. Also. OD green is OLIVE DRAB, not stomach pump OVERDOSE green. Oh the stuff we were told by our older brothers when we were little.....
Pikes Peak set up?
Awsome!!!
When you say alcohol carb do you mean a gas alcohol blend or like rubbing alcohol and for gas what grade I'm thinking original 1928 grade 78 octane plz explain this fact and could you show us these individual carbs I find it fascinating the construction of these I'm mean what were they thinking engeneeering wise to me its geniues.
So kool.
I love you sir great
Why would anyone set the shocks on the bottom with a modern Harley ? It was like riding a hard tail without springs on the seat . Man that was not cool when hitting a pothole .
Wuat, no potato?...nah, really hope that 'I' run as well at that age!...oh wait; I'm 66...=_=
Please tell me this museum has some circus side show wall riding bikes...that's around 20s 30s right???
The wall of death!!! They had one at the museum a couple years ago. We drove up to Maggie Valley and saw it in action.
Couldn't imagine taking a huge hill on something like this. Looks brutish
Clymer manuals.
"One of the rarer machines in the barn"
How do you get "rarer" than ONLY ONE?
Wonder if the fuzz would let you out of jail to run hillclimbs today? LOL yeah.
mannn.. why are you guys closed? screw this covid crap i wanna ride up and see all these bikes!. im only 2 hours out in denver nc please open!!!
👍😎
Is anyone else uncomfortable looking at that seat? 🤮
Watch hill climbs, the rider doesn't spend much time on the seat.
motor ,motor ,motor !!! NO ENGINE ... ENGINE .. FUEL NOT ELECTRIC !!!
that's absolutely right. gas motor. ;?)
Thanks ! Besserwissers are the best!
