I’m in my mid 30’s and stuck in America, I will always be sad that I missed these clubbing days but I love them all the same! I’m so thankful to my overseas friends who are 5,10 years older than me who have been sharing their stories and tracks with me the last few years! I will always love vinyl! Yes digital is cleaner, easier to use, and a lot less heavy “if you know, you know!!” But there is something beautiful and magical of the pops on a record that has been loved and played hundreds of time! Let’s also not forget the dying art of the amazing vinyl sleeve cover art! My vinyl collection and my 1200’s are some of my most cherished possessions. I have serious respect for you guys keeping the old school alive and even more set up envy!
These tunes remind me of losing complete control at vibealite inside venue 44 1994/95... They were the days that's for sure care free and absolutely mushed on mdma..By the end of 95 and through 96 Happy hardcore started to get cheesy, that's when I got into D&B/ jungle.. nice mixing keep on spinning that wax bro.. Cheers Christopher, yeah this set was more towards the end of the 90s for sure, I'll try and dig out some even earlier tunes for the next one. Appreciate the comment, I find the tempo of most 90s music mixes particularly on RUclips is just pitched up and honestly ruined for the most part, it doesn't need to be all chipmunky. I use Stanton ST-150s, they have been great :)
