Na passagem por París, revela as nuances de todos os tesouros e maravilhas para a Louis Vuitton. Entre as consciencias "bogglers", hoje estavam as jaquetas de couro cortados a partir de "Kobes" tingidos de índigo. As pérolas que apareceram como acessórios foram também tingidas de indigo, na verdade, no "shell". E havia um pequeno grupo de peças totalmente reversíveis feitas de pele de cordeiro lastreados em organza, tão ridiculamente leves que eram praticamente incompreensíveis no conceito de criação. Mas tudo isso é apenas palavreado em um poema onde tais maravilhas e técnicas exigiram visão e tato dos espectadores, uma experiência que o vazio frio de uma tela de computador dificilmente pode exprimir. Porém a "Pista" era muito curta para que se pudesse decolar a partir dela. Esse foi o único problema com o show Vuitton de hoje. Simplesmente se desejava, ansiava-se por afogar-se nos detalhes do tesouro do rei pirata, mas tudo foi muito mais além da passarela. No Além, imediatamente se destacaram as peças que agradavam o olho mesmo de longe: as jaquetas com recordações materializadas em vivido cetim com os ricos bordados (Japão), as aves do paraíso (Indonésia); a camisa de seda vermelha havaiana com os macacos bordados (China); o "blouson" com uma faixa bordada de uma tribo das Colinas do Sudeste Asiático que, apesar de antiga, parecia totalmente contemporânea. Jones disse que estava fascinado pela maneira com que asi déias migraram para a passarela, a absorção da línguagem do "sportswear americano" sendo o maior exemplo disso do Japão. Mas ele faz exatamente o mesmo tipo de coisa em seus projetos, filtrando as tradições de todos os tipos através de sua própria sensibilidade pop. Nile Rodgers fez a música para o show. Tudo foi abrilhantado com os flashes e brilho das roupas. Já passou da hora de comemorar o que Kim Jones está fazendo pela Vuitton.
