I just had a guy pull up to the sidewalk and said he lost his wallet and needed gas money. He first gave me his gold ring and then his gold necklace. He said he was a millionaire from Saudi Arabia starting a business. I gave him $20 but he said he needed more gas money because he had to go to the consulate which is an 11 hour drive. He then offered his Rolex. He drove me to a bank and he waited in his SUV. I went in the bank and decided to see if there was a way to verify if it was a real Rolex. I still wasn’t sure after reviewing it so searched for Rolex watch scam and found your video. You mentioned that the scammer had a wife and kids in the car and this guy did too. I gave him back his watch, necklace and ring. He got my $20 but nothing else. I thought about keeping all of it but thought that would be stealing. I left him the money in case he really needed it. That’s unfortunate but it’s been happening a lot. And then people wonder why some folks won’t help others.
If I was in a situation like that, I would have googled the address to the authorized Rolex dealer in my area, and would tell them to go there.
