🍎🍎🍎🍏🍏🍏 Huge Iowa fan here: Watching Tory Taylor absolute CRUSH it in his first professional game after watching him at Iowa was the absolute best thing for me. That’s my PUNTAH!
DeMarcus Walker & it's really not even close. Forced the winning INT. Led the team with 4 hits on the QB @ a 25% win rate. His versatility to move inside on passing downs also allows Taylor & Booker to come into the game while he's generating inside pressure. 🍏
Tory Taylor looked like he was back at Iowa out there with that gameplay. He was really our best chance at offense most of the game. That 4th round pick is paying so many dividends already
🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎 Man what a weird ass game. Couldn’t believe that we won and thought that the best player that I saw today was TJ Edwards. Both LBs were great and that second half defense was insane. Bear Down!!!!!!!
@@DracoGgaming Naw I can’t guess what a RB did with 2 carries and really don’t care with 2 carries the thing I do know what happened is Velus took carries away from the guy that’s been playing RB for 4 years to a guy that’s been playing RB for 1 month that shouldn’t be on the team
@@kennethwilliams2951 he isn’t as good as you think he’s a nice back up forsure but he’s gonna expect starter money. We have a better back getting paid already. Also, it was a 3rd and 2 and of course he fell backwards on contact once again
I think Waldron called a good game. Dudes were schemed open and the pass was missed. There is also the dropped touchdown from Allen that would make things seem different. The guy I’m worried about it Wright. He missed a bunch of blocks, or blocked no one and looked to help Davis. Not sure what happened there. Shelton can eat a big one, he didn’t even look like he belonged in the NFL.
You guys are so great to listen to its one of my favorite podcasts but this week you had me laughing a bit. I dont know how many times Robert would end with a question to Nick and he would completely ignore the question and say whats on his mind. Great podcast despite the first game jitters :).
I really think there is a problem with the organization and the center position, and I think that’s carrying forward to the entire offense. Like why does every center that’s played here since Mitch’s days play absolutely awful. And then a lot do these same guys go to other teams and look serviceable. I had a friend who’s a Ravens fan and he had no complaints over Mustipher, who we clowned on incessantly. Coleman Shelton isn’t a world beater, but he looked decent on the Rams just last year and now looks like a typical Bears center. I think we just don’t know how to use the center position in this org, and I think that’s having a ripple effect on the entire offense
Because our OC is incompetent. Any man that knows the lore of Velus Jones, sees a costly turnover, then continues to give him a carry immediately after & even trusts him with a pass on the final drive & the game on the line is not a OC that is competent
Rome had to sit down, otherwise he would have got behind the defender and it would have been a interception, just like what happened to Bagent last year in the saint's game when Kmet and Mooney ran bad routes by running behind the defenders, instead of running in front of them. Rome couldn't run in front of the defender, so his only option was to sit, and Caleb should have saw it. Bagent got bashed for making good throws to bad route runners, and Caleb gets excuses for making bad throws to good route runners lol.
Special teams was good (except Velus) but the best unit was the Defense. They slammed the door on them in the 2nd half, the Titans may have actually won that game if just kneeled 3 times and punted in the 2nd half
what was with all of CWs wounded duck throws, was it windy or was CW just not setting his base or was he trying to dig deep for more speed and was sacrificing form?
If Bagent would have played he would have had 4tds with the same Oline and play calling, we wouldn't have needed Levis and the Titans to give us 3 TD's.
I know he’s a rookie but it’s funny seeing all the folks hammering the table and belittle Justin to uplift a guy who never played a down in the nfl come to earth.
The extreme overreactions in this comment section are a little funny. Did people get lost on their way to calling Chicago sports radio shows or something? Haha !
Its time to officially demote Davis to backup G & cut him this off-season. Velus has to go as well. Hes done as a returner but im sure they'll still try him as a RB experiment until he fumbles or drops a wide open pass. But hes done. He better not be on the roster next year
And either our mid round 1st rounder or our early 2nd rounder from the Panthers has to go to a new C. Someone to finally lock down the spot for 4-5 years as a rookie & then earns another 4 year extension. Bates will take over as G across from Jenkins in 2025
The offensive line was easily the worst unit for the Bears yesterday. I also wondered about some of the play calling. Why didn't Waldron call more rollout passes for Caleb like he did in the preseason? Were they trying to prove to everyone that Caleb can operate from the pocket? I believe he can, but not behind the Bears current offensive line against the Titans defensive tackles. Simmons and Sweat won consistently all game long.
He was very bad, but he didn’t turn the ball over by any mistake of his own (fumble/pick), his inaccuracy was very bad, and Keenan dropped the one pass that was on the money, even if it was a little bit of a wobbler ball. He wasn’t horrific though. He’ll be fine.
Why is Waldron splitting Travis Homer out and running routes. Did he discover the receiving sensation that literally no coach has seen in Homer, ever. I really dislike playcallers who think they are the smartest guy in the room. Nagy did it. I'm worried Waldron is going to do it.
Nick is 100% right....the Rams didn't want Shelton and you can see why. Stop playing politics and insert Bates at center for sure and probably Pryor at guard. Stop exagerating on Tevin; while he didn't play his usual good game, he wasn't a nitemare and he won't have a harder matchup going forward. Caleb made mostly good decisions and did not turn the ball over. His accuracy was unusually off and at times he and his receivers were obviously not on the same page. Everett looks slow and lazy. Why did he get more snaps than Kmet?
- Herbert should be our STARTING running back and we should run him 20 times a game, run Swift 10 times a game and bring Williams along slowly. I am not sure why williams threw the ball 30 times in his first start but maybe the Bears want to bring williams up to speed as fast as they can.

🍎🍎 Tremaine Edmunds with that third down stop was him earning his place in our hearts after last year’s slightly disappointing season
Zero turnovers biggest stat for me
I was watching the game and I swore I heard Billings yell MOVE on a false start
Absolutely did. He got the Titans with that also. LOL

Man what a weird ass game. Couldn’t believe that we won and thought that the best player that I saw today was TJ Edwards. Both LBs were great and that second half defense was insane. Bear Down!!!!!!!
Him being 6'1 doesn't help with batted passes. But Fields who is way bigger had strange amount of batted passes also
What did Herbert do so wrong to not play he’s played all preseason and Velus gets as many carries as Herbert did that’s unacceptable
Herbert wasn't a Poles pick was he? We know Poles gets a lot of shitty players, and doesn't want to get rid of them.
Painful seeng Homer out there instead of Herbert.
They gave him a 3rd down short yardage run and can you guess what happened?

Teven getting beat today has gotta signal bears not keeping him. I hope they trade him for something before they let him walk for nothing.
Will Levis had 3 TO's lol. I had no idea it was that bad for him.
Why was Tyler Scott inactive?
Because our OC is incompetent. Any man that knows the lore of Velus Jones, sees a costly turnover, then continues to give him a carry immediately after & even trusts him with a pass on the final drive & the game on the line is not a OC that is competent

Coleman Shelton was terrible.
Ok yeah Velus is an extraordinary blocker I get it

If we aren’t going to play him can we trade Herbert for a center?
Caleb was objectively horrific.

it was very under mid. im scared for next week

Bates has been hurt or he would be the center. He can't snap with the shoulder brace
