- The @specterscat CAT MOB was designed to be the ideal 9mm pistol caliber carbine suppressor. This titanium silencer is 3D printed using Laser Powder Bed Fusion technology, which allows for the implementation of the DiVerge flow tech. This results in a stunningly quiet 9mm suppressor that performs excellently.

You boys killed it again, thanks for giving us some time. 💪🏼🐈⚡️
is this the suppressor company marketed at the transexual leftist? Interesting approach...
Dang! I’ve been looking for a good 9mm can for my MP5.
It sounds great on the MP5!
Just got one the other week. Still at form 3. Looks like it’s crazy good according to the pew science data. I can’t wait! Any info on the back ordered cat sr? Ordered one about a month ago, still haven’t heard anything.
he MOB is very high performing, awesome 9mm suppressor. Hoping CAT SR orders fill soon!
Really wish I could hear this compared to the JL on 300 blk in a AR
That would be a good test!
I really want to get one but wish there was an inconel option. I bought my first Ti Can (CAT WB) a couple months back and realized why so many people hate Ti cans lol. Shooting under nods was like the 4th of July during an NVG class I took recently. Ditched the can halfway through the night and just ran unsuppressed with a flash hider which was actually doable. Sold the WB and won't buy a Ti can again for a semi auto, maybe for a bolt gun though. I get why the Mob is Ti since it would probably be like 2lbs in Inconel, but wish there was a solid option performance wise that doesn't turn my gun in to a portable firework machine.
9mm is very different than 5.56, in the low pressure lower heat flow patter of the 9mm titanium is plenty durable and doesnt have the same flashing. Also that titanium flashing will dissipate over time!
@@SilencerShop That's 100% a myth that the Ti flashing will dissipate over time. Maybe it will reduce after an initial amount of shooting to get all the crap out but it doesn't magically turn to nothing. But regarding 9mm, yeah maybe it won't be too bad, I just am one of those weird LARPers that actually wants a suppressor to hide flash in addition to being quiet, but I'd take a slightly lower sound signature reduction over a sparkler everyday.
@@helloimpeterpan5711 dissipate doesn’t mean disappear. Y’all are saying the same thing, they’re just saying it will get better, which it will, as the titanium powder burns off.
So.... What is @o bad with Titanium cans?
How did you sell your suppressor? It seems like a PTA to sell due to the paperwork.
Videos are helpful but the true in-person sound is hard to get through (depends on mic setup, etc). Can you tell us how you personally feel this performs relative to some of the PCC standbys? (Wolfman, primarily)
Totally correct, videos can give you a good idea of tone, but not sound. We tested this silencer with four shooters, we all agreed its among the quietest PCC cans we've shot. I'd say its in the same tier as Wolfman, but has much less back pressure.
Would this be a good option to use with 350 Legend? The one I really want is the YHM R9, but I can’t seem to find them in stock!!! Please advise.
Its a great option. It is designed and optimized for 9mm, but is rated for 350 Legend subs and supers in a barrel 16" or longer.
Could you shoot 7.62x39 subsonic through this if the barrel is at least 8”? That’s what they recommend for 300 blackout subsonic so would 7.62x39 subsonic be similar?
Subsonic it will work!
If you purchase the QD version and later decide you want to use it with trilug, are you screwed? Can you swap out the QD or is it permanently fixed to the can?
QD is integral, if you want to use tri lug you'll have to get the HUB model.
Who makes the lightest most flush fit HUB tri lug mount?
The Dead Air trilug with Hub adapter works very well.
I got the qd model..almost wish I got the hub mount. I’m looking at getting a sig Mpx k for a host. What’s the best way to mount the suppressor? A thread adapter to 1/2 28? Should I just get a ilwt barrel?
Youll want to use a taper barrel adapter with the spooky muzzle device.
Even if you get the taper adapter, I don’t think there is a Spooky for the MPX’s thread pitch. You can get your stock barrel rethreaded to something more common, or just go with the ILWT barrel.
@@alexanderkim4889 yeah I’m getting an ilwt barrel
ILWT 1/2-28 barrel is absolutely the way to go. It's what I'm running and I love it.
For most setups, sounds like the HUB would be the better option?
What's the ETA of backordered MOBs?
Soon!
Anyluck with a tri lug with this can?
Yes, Dead Air's tri lug with their reducer ring, or Bixler style tri lugs will work great!
@@SilencerShophow about the SiCo Bravo piston mount + alpha tri-lug?
What if I want a CAT MOB in stainless or in 718?
Not an option right now, and not necessary. 9mm is very low pressure and heat, titanium is more than durable enough even on full autos, and because of the small powder charge 9mm from a PCC has little to no flash at all. For a dedicated 9mm silencer titanium is a top-tier material choice.
@@SilencerShop so even under nods, there will be no sparking? I think even the smallest amount of sparking is reason enough to have a stainless or inconel suppressor. But CAT assured me there would be no sparking like the CGS Ti suppressors I have. I'll cross my fingers.
I wish I could give this a million likes.
Thanks!
Nah where’s the sauce on that rolly boi wooden hand guard and stock !?!?
Is SilencerShop getting backordered Spectre 9s in yet? Cant wait until i get mine, but im patient. I knew i would wait a bit when i placed my order so im not hating.
Hopefully soon!
Please review the Maxim Defense MS-9! Looks very comparable to the Mojave 9 but cheaper.
Maxim is on the list!
Does everyone thin CAT as a company will stick around or is it another internet meme company that will disappear in a couple years along with any warranty they offer? Their cans look really promising but I’d hate to buy and them go MIA lol
Excellent quality and innovative silencers, exclusively at the largest distributor in America, They'll be around for a long time!
Cleaning flow through 9mm seems like a disaster
Why?
@@chrissewell1608Sonic cleaner is your friend.
How many rounds can you shoot until you HAVE to let the titanium cool down?? Are you talking 15-50 rounds or hundreds? If you are saying you can only do one mag dump why would anyone buy this?
Yes, I heard what you said in the video, But there is so much convoluted information on this company it’s completely maddening. I just want to know if I can go to the range shoot a couple hundred rounds and not look like a fucking weirdo with a heat thermometer. It’s over $1000 for the can and they’re talking about thermometers?
We'll to a heat cycle test that will provide a lot more information.
Whats relevant is how you're actually shooting the gun, if you're loading 10 mags, and shooting them all back to back with no wait, then you might get the can hotter than it should be, but very few people shoot like that.
Most people are runnning drills or casually plinking, where they're shooting a few rounds, then reloading a mag, or resetting a target or whatever, and doing it again. The can cools very fast, so as long as you have some down time it'll probably be good to go.
CAT recommends an infrared thermometer so that you can build out a shooting schedule that works for you. 9mm is very low pressure and doesnt generate a ton of heat very fast.
