Congrats TJ! Wishing you all the best in the journey of parenthood, enjoy the moments take tons of pics. Best wishes to you and your entire family. God bless!
The statement at 0:41 is an absolute fiction. It is NOT the case that every seat Air Canada sells for cash is also available through an Aeroplan points redemption. Just do a random search for business class seats using cash and using points. The most desirable routings and connections are often unavailable to Aeroplan customers.
@@PrinceofTravel I see a much wider array of flights and seats when I search for cash fares. When I do the SAME search after clicking "Book with points", the most desirable flights often disappear. I do a LOT of searches for AC Business class rewards flights, BTW, so I am not blowing smoke here.
Every seat, on every Air Canada flight, is bookable with points. If you’re referring to partner flights ticketed by Air Canada, that is a different story. If you see an Air Canada itinerary on cash, that is not showing up with points (a particular combination of layovers), call Aeroplan and they can book it on points over the phone.
@@PrinceofTravel@LakeConstan @thomasmoran5929 But if you have to call them, you don't know how many points your desired flight is going to cost you, until you've wasted your time calling them and being on hold, only to find out you don't want to spend that many points for that route and/or you don't have enough points to book it.
eva has been amazing with putting out business class from YVR to KIX / TPE if booking 360 days. i always book one way first since return booking flights points cost are typically being ruined by one or more flight. That way i can book one way and book my return a few days later while waiting for a good deal.
When you book a flight on Air Canada and check "pay with points" the flights you are offered are not the same as the flights you are offered when paying with cash. The "pay with points" flights are almost all longer and with more stops. Aeroplan points are only useful if you are booking with a partner airline or economy with Air Canada. This has been my experience when flying YYC to LHR which is the only route I use these days. My next flight to Europe will be with KLM business class from YEG to AMS which is substantially cheaper. My 315,000 Aeroplan points will have to be put to some other use.
Online search results are one thing, but any Air Canada flight can be booked with Aeroplan points. Give them a call and book by phone if the exact itinerary you want is unavailable online. - Steve
@@PrinceofTravel Do you know when Lufthansa releases last minute reward availability compared to United 's "few weeks before"? I am looking at flying to Bastia end of April, and only the good flights right now are offered with cash only.
Hard to tell. They have been very random and unpredictable lately, as also flagged by many others, that they can't seem to find last minute LH flights either ~Chris
Quick question, when you say “book through the partner airline”, did you mean going to that partner airline’s website directly and booking there or is through Air Canada’s website still which shows some flights with some partner airlines? Thanks, new to this
You’ll to book the partner flights on the Aeroplan website (or call centre) to use your Aeroplan points. Partner websites can be useful to find partner award availability, such as using United’s website to find Star Alliance availability. You will then need to make sure the same award seats are available with Aeroplan. - Steve
Congrats TJ. and your Mrs! Regarding the Air Canada signature lounge, we were under the impression the lounge was only available for paid business class fares. Can you confirm that? As for the signature lounges, the one in Vancouver is amazing.
great video & congrats! Im thinking of transferring my amex points over to air canada aeroplan. Is this considered a good deal for economy Flex reward at 68.8k points which is $688 for the round trip VS the cash price of this trip is $1117?
It's almost always best to choose the default option, which is the 3rd option counting from the left, unless you don't have enough points, then you can choose the other options. ~Chris
All the very best to you and your new family member. We will miss your input and support while you’re gone. Ricky you have a great team so know we will continue to get awesome updates from the rest of team including yourself. Cheers…

You are incorrect, or you are misunderstanding what TJ is saying. Every Air Canada seat - not partner airline seat - is bookable with points.

@@PrinceofTravel Thanks for the tip. I'll try that in the future.

Congrats TJ! 🎉
Direct flight doesn't always mean a non-stop flight
2 different things. Direct means staying on the same aircraft. May stop along the route_ non stop means what it says_
Congrats to TJ🎉

Paid business class fare or Business (Flexible) on points redemption. Business (Lowest) is not eligible

just book with partner airlines if going intl.
How? Do you have to call in?
If you find it on Aeroplan's own search engine, then you can try to book it online first.

Enjoy the new voyage of parenthood TJ
may i ask why the CIBC aeroplan visa infinite card is rarely talked about? I compared it with the TD card but they are pretty much the same...
They are very similar products, but TD generally has better sign-up offers and slightly better insurance coverage.

Is there a video on which Aeroplan redemption option to choose? I'm always confused whether it's better to use all my points or pay with points + cash
Divide dollar value by the number of points and see which is a better deal
It's almost always best to choose the default option, which is the 3rd option counting from the left, unless you don't have enough points, then you can choose the other options.

any idea why Emirates redemptions went up by 2.5x? used to be able to do YYZ->DXB for 110k now its 265k.
Business or first? 110k looks like it's for business
