@@SDADanCars Thank you. Yes she is a brilliant car to drive. Under the steering wheel there is a sort of switch and I pressed it by mistake. It made a loud revving sound and the car slowed down. It stated M1. Any help as to what this is for / means would be most appreciated.
@@jkjobies M1 means that gearbox/DSG have been putted in manual mode and it's on first gear.Highly recommend to read manual

Finland would be roasted at this temperature.
If you set temperature to LO, engine will never shut down. If that's a test drive you should've set it to something more realistic like 22 or 23 deg C in AUTO mode. Fuel consumption would be noticeably lower then.

I drove in Romanian autobahns (also in valleys:D) greetings from Razgrad
On Seat Ateca with 1.5 TSI after 22000km i got average just 6.1L, 80% City, that is verry good.
90km/h after long trip my record is 5.1L
I did try 140-150km/h it goes to 7.7, so, after 130km/h fuel disappear very fast.
eTSI have to be less.
yes, it's less, mainly in city.
about 0.5l less. and outside, not much, it depends on how much you can coast.

it's mild hybrid but the engine doesn't shut off all that often during idle, why is that? because AC is on?

the problem with vw is that they give you the option of mild hybrid or plug in, forgeting the essential full hybrid, mild hybrid is good but can't start in electric, or drive in ev in the city for example, and plug in is just useless, big battery, power managmeent is never the same as a full hybrid. i wish they ditched the mild and the plug in, and just focus on the full hybrid, a toyota like hybrid (renault with e tech as well), combined with these fonctionalities of cylinder on demand and coasting, imagine if it could also start in ev, drive on ev here and there, it would really maximize its consumption, it's a good option non the less, i mean it's a beautiful car, efficient... just the choice of hybridization is wrong in my opinion, plug in we don't need that, mild hybrid is good but we're missing on so many good things !
they don't have yet that type of powertrain developed, probably, so they did what they could do best, fast.
i hear rumors vw will have a hybrid powertrain in the future

The A/C stops cooling because the ac compressor is running from the engine by belt, but it is still blowing air
no, AC compressor is not electric unfortunately on mild hybrids

yes, it's better. driven both. BUT, civic ground clearance is too low man, feels like you're sitting on the asphalt. too bad
