That's what I meant by coming out about. I wasn't referring to the fans, because, like you said, absolutely none of us knew. It was a decision she made herself. I was referring to people who shut down any attempt as raising awareness for mental illness as a way to "get attention". I don't get what you mean by this comment tbh.

the whole Glory days era was THAT ERA for little mix and i can't believe Perrie was going through so much at that much, she didn't show any of it neither on stage nor on interviews. she was struggling and yet she always smiled for the fans ... she is such a strong woman and i am so glad that she found girls and family around to keep this precious baby in check!

I remember my first panic attack, I was 6 years old and it was my end of the world. Mental health should be taken more seriously. Thank you, Perrie for sharing. You are doing more for every one out there than you think❤️

This interviewer needs a raise, he is so kind, polite patient and friendly with Pez. He didn't ask any triggering questions and comforts Perrie when she says she hasn't overcome her fear of going on the train.

I always love seeing Perries scar. Because just looking at it and seeing how her body fused itself back together after her surgery and everything she went through is just a physical marker of how strong of a person she is. Such a great interview. He was so respectful and understanding and let her talk and explain. This is what anxiety looks like. You cant see it looking at her but it takes over your life. There is a difference between being anxious and having Anxiety

Wow, Perrie is honestly so incredible. I suffer from anxiety and for the last couple of months it has gotten so much worse but I can not imagine what it is like when having a job like this. I can not go anywhere without my mum or nan and at college if my closest friends are not in and I am alone I can not deal with it. Sometimes I can not even pay for something myself in a shop. 99% of what she said is what i have experienced and what I currently am, this has helped me so much because even though I do not want anyone else to go through it, this reminds me that Perrie is human and is going through it as well, I am not alone. I just want to sit her down, give her a massive hug and let her know that I understand and how much she has helped me. I am so bloody proud of my angel💖
parissr 98 Sorry to read about the survival attacks (which is what they are in effect). Check in your local area for anyone who can do regression work in hypnosis (especially for random panic attacks), Havening, Thought Field Therapy or evening NLP techniques like spinning, as they can all help.

Every time I have a panic attack my mom just screams at me, while Little Mix, Anne Marie, Demi Lovato, Zara Larrson, Dua Lipa, Sarah Hyland and Naya Rivera help me get through it. Sometimes you have connections with people that are unbreakable and will help you get through rough times in life.

When she says, "if I have a panic attack and I'm on my own what do I do?" that's what I would ask myself but more, "if I have a seizure and I'm on my own what do I do?" that's why I go places always with someone else. Little mix remind me to speak up about personal struggles. This is why I love them.

Poor Perrie, didn't know she was going through this. I've been suffering with anxiety for a couple of years and it can be really hard. For me it's the opposite, sometimes I just cannot be around people, even if I love them. I feel like my head and my heart are going to explode and I just want to disappear. Thanks God there are people like Perrie, who help me cope with it.

I SOOOO feel similar to Perrie. I started getting panic attacks in grad school and had no idea what was going on. They were daily and every time I left the house and wasn’t at home. 2-3 years later life is totally different and attacks are manageable. It’s such a journey but in the moment it feels like you are dying. Thanks for talking about it Perrie!

I really love how open she was in this interview, she didn’t hold back and she really does show that no matter how bubbly and outgoing a person you might be that this can still happen to you, I was shocked to hear what she’d been dealing with behind closed doors, you kind of think because they’re famous and gorgeous and have all this money that they’re happy and haven’t got any worries, but it takes a strong person to live a life in the public eye, especially going through issues with mental health.
Isnt it strange when your going through a time in your life, where your not coping, and need some kind of outlet and this video pops up. Really needed to watch this today.

I had no idea she had anxiety! This is so inspiring for me, because when I was 11 years old I used to have panic attacks pretty much every single morning because I was just so anxious about going to school, so there was nothing I could do about it. I'm 13 now, and I'm just so glad I still don't have that.
When I was having physical attacks, there were times when I would be home alone. When I didn’t have anyone to help talk me through the attack, I would write it all down. I’d also repeat to myself “it’s just a panic attack, I am safe, I am ok”.
I haven’t had a physical attack in years now. I’ve come close to them, but because I’ve practiced all these techniques I can quickly snap myself out of it.

I cried so much through this. I am so unbelievably proud of her for doing this and opening up. She is so stong and a role model to express her anxiety and inspire her fans to know they can thrive through whatever it is. She is underrated as an actual genuine person and is not just a perfect silhoutte of a human.You are not alone!

I love Perrie, she's the most adorable sunshine in the world 💖 I have anxiety too and it's really terrifying, I had some panic attacks last year, but differently than her I would freak out to be around people, I just wanted to be alone and cry. I'm much better now, actually watching little mix funny/cute moments is what helped me. I loved becoming a mixer, I love little mix, they are just girls who have their feelings and insecurities, but still strong and hard working superstars, they're such an inspiration to me.
And btw who would say freckles were going to be a makeup technic and Perrie have them naturally.

She's really that person i relate to and would love to have around bc she's just THAT delightful and comfortable to be with. I've been wanting to know more about it ever since she confessed she'd gone through panic attacks , even moreso because of the fact that she's often cheerful & lively...so seeing this in my recommendations i straight up screamed !
It's smth you kinda self-sooth your way through , there isn't really a formula, but venting is a major YES , with time you develop a stronger mentality, you hold on to a reassuring thought you firmly believe in & it'll serve as an off-switch to those bad thoughts haunting you.
Can i just say....this was somewhat therapeutic !
Learning that someone knows the feeling...the shaking , the surreal vision , the overwhelming haunts , the magnified fears...it's strangely reassuring.

I have anxiety as well. It’s not fun feeling pressured to make everything perfect or else you are done. I feel like people with anxiety/anxiety disorders need to be taken a bit more seriously to get the help they need to not feel that pressure.
Btw good for Perrie for spreading awareness and I’m proud of her for being honest and opening up.

i have really bad social anxiety, I can’t tell you how much i love these girls. they are all so so inspirational, this helped me so much just knowing someone i look up to on the daily went through something like i did. i love you girls xox

I finally came around to watch the interview and I am feeling so much right now. I am heartbroken for Perrie, having to go trough this and on top of it having to put on a happy face all the time, it’s just I don’t know, I wish I could take it all away but on the other hand I am beyond proud. Going through it all coming out stronger as ever and being brave enough to share everything with the world. Turning pain into something beautiful helping others. I’m just sending all my love and be even prouder calling her my rolemodel.

Anxiety and depression are some intense demons that a lot of people struggle with. Ive dealt with mine for so long, and I’ve been absolutely miserable trying to “fix” myself and trying to change how I feel, and obviously it never works because these are things that I will live with for the rest of my life. I’m constantly on the road to my happiness, but I’ve found my safe space in concerts and music and the bands/artists that I love. Everyone deserves their safe space, and everyone deserves to be happy especially after battling things such as these. Thank you for sharing your struggles Perrie! It makes people feel much better.

You have no idea how much it means to me that you are speaking about this stuff cause when I had my first panic attack I thought I was dying from a heart attack and that I was going insane, at some point of my anxiety I couldn't even go to the movies (and I love going to the movies) and there are still some things that I can't do but hearing you speak about this and the way you feel and hearing you speak about the claustrophobic feeling it's so relieving and it really makes me feel like I'm not alone, thanks from the bottom of my heart. My favorite ever since their X-FACTOR days. Now, I have another reason for doing so. Perrie accepted her condition, owned up to it,and resolved to do something abt it. She's now speaking about her anxiety to allow more ppl to become aware of this mental health problem. To let them know that they are not alone and that they, too, can get better.
