yes I've been wanting to get the GALATHEA WHIMSY FANTASY 3 TALE, it looks so gorgeous but not too glamorous, I think the tail you picked out is also equally spectacular!
I would love a fin folk tail, I however am super tall I don’t know if there is enough stretch. I will however admire from afar :)

I actually got the Siren tail and was really surprised when I saw the velcro after seeing your videos with them having screws. I was so happy to try it on, *but* I'm not experienced enough to actually swim in it. I bought it because it was the perfect tail for my siren sona, and a motivation to get better :3

Thanks for this video, it's super helpful! I just got my first new Finfolk tail and struggled with the Linden monofin with the vinyl etc. I felt like I wasn't going anywhere and then my feet popped out of the straps! I am used to the Mertailor silicon tail, which was super easy and much more powerful to swim in. I appreciate your review of this tail here and it confirms why it was so challenging for me! You, Courtney and mermaid Zelda are my favorite mermaids! It's too bad that you guys live in Canada! You all sound and look like a very great adventurous, fun group to hang out with, I'm out in Malibu area down in LA though... On top of that I also have not started mermaiding yet sadly. But it is definitely on the top of my list! You all would be very fun to meet one day if I ever start my Ariel adventures!
The very first time I found out what being a mermaid was, about a few years ago, I was amazed and very confused at the same time 🤣. I'm not a very 'princessy' type and don't like 'girly things' much at all, I thought it was very cool because I'm very much into things like d&d and I love painting and drawing creatures for campaigns and just being creative in general(mostly in the dragons and Wolf creatures department LOL)! I was totally intrigued by making the tails and I would love to team up with some people who do silicone tail making one day, I don't have much experience with silicone making though I do like sculpting and drawing magnificent imaginary things though LOL. I was very confused when I first saw the whole mermaid thing, and for a split second I actually thought that it was a very edited 'green-screen-type' clips of movies or something but I couldn't quite wrap my head around why it looked so real, so I did some research and you, Courtney and Zelda really explained things to me and unboggled my mind haha. And I was like "Oh wow, this is an actual thing?!"Plus I didn't know that somebody liked the whole "space-purple-blue-starry-type-style" as much as I do! I thought it was weird and a little different, maybe I'm not too weird after all! XD nothing's wrong with being a little weird though... Anyways you guys are pretty cool!😁👍

I got the aurora tail for black friday sale and i love it. I've only gotten to wear it twice in water and ive found I've had a little bit of scuffing on the ends of the fluke but I actively didn't let it touch the ground to much. I use the linden and found it gave me good propulsion in this tail...but omg I agree with getting it into or out of the tail is so much hassle and such a work out!!

Great video!! I wish I could afford a tail like this but I'm going through college currently.
I got a secondhand Jellyfish Jungle and my biggest gripe is that although it fit me, the elastic waistband was INCREDIBLY tight to the point of hurting after a photoshoot. I ended up having someone replace the elastic for me and now it fits perfectly
This is helpful in SO MANY WAYS, thank you! Your review of the Hydra monofin actually sounds pretty positive, especially since I have wide feet. Why would you not recommend it?

I'm an Amazing Swimmer. Very fast and very good at what I do, I often played Mermaid when I was younger with just keeping mh feet together never had anything to keep kt rhat way. But I did get a finfolk tail for my first tail, and I LOVE it. It's pretty easy to swim in, nut you do HAVE to be a good Swimmer, and I mean stay swimming with just using your arms no feet for 10 minutes and use only feet for 5.
The galaxy finfolk tail definitely suits you Faith.
You should see the new finfun elite tails there so pretty and more professional.

Hello, i want to make a fabric mermaid tail with an extension like in H2o. I will use my Mahina monofin and I will put my feet into fins sticked to the Mahina. My problem is: How could I stick them together? I really hope that some of you could help me.
I love this tail so much but I still haven't been able to swim in it😭
The linden is a pain in my donk putting in my butterfly fluke on my prism seas. Made me big angry on accident! Nice to knopw im not alone!

I actually just purchased one of very new first ambassador tail of the month from them but it hasn’t arrived yet it’ll be here around august it’s the syrena’s song it’s my second tail my first tail I been swimming in for several years and I’m very excited to get this new one

Mertailor fantasea fins or finis Luna! They’re full silicone and soooooooo much comfier for your feet.
Do u get a tracking number for ur order?and do they ship to Germany? Would it also take 6-8 weeks or more? I asked them a while ago but I won't get an answer
What size did you get? Because I'm probably gonna get an XS, but I'm cautious about how stretchy they are cause Im in-between an XS and a S

FINFOLK has only seasonal sales that sell out within maybe 3 days! They do however have a new tail of the month each month, that is either an old tail or brand new tail. I would recommend getting into the pod squad, there are people who sell old tails also.

Hey Nerdmaid!! I came back to this review because FinFolk really has been calling to me with this month’s Aqua Fairy tail… have you heard/do you know if their current model tails still follow this scuba knit material line and this review is still accurate? I want to get a good feel for what to expect before I pull the trigger since it’d be such a splurge!
(Long time mermaid here for about 10 years, only have a Guppy tail, but also wondering if I have the patience for the vinyl and stuff, so I’m considering the Discovery version too but… there’s so much less pink on that one!)
Thanks for asking! They do use this same material and as far as I know the quality of the other aspects of the tails haven't changed. Lots of folks are really happy with theirs recently!

if im a swimmer yes with experience and ive been in one like once but taught myself the proper motion would u recommend???
I'd still say start with the monofin only first and the add on the tail if you're set on using the finfolk as your first tail.
@@NerdmaidFaith thanks for responding. I was planning on getting the linden mono fin to start with cause it’s $60 not $150. I am going to start with a $215 tail from them with no extra fins. I have used mono fins for competition swimming practices. We’ve also used individual flippers for the swimming as well so I know how to use it and I have practiced. I also taught myself the motion sense I was like 10 and I’m 17 now and I’m pretty strong and good with it. I am getting the mono fin first tho.

How does one wash one of those mermaid tails?
From what I’ve seen, your best bet is to ask the maker. For the tail I’m getting (Fabric tail from Mertailor) you put the tail in the washing machine on a gentle cycle, and then lay it down flat to dry, so it could be the same. :)
As she says in the video. Hand wash in clean water, if it really needs it a small amount of swimsuit cleaner or mild detergent.

They do different releases at various points in the year. Following them on social media is the best way to be informed of when tails will go for sale
