A suggestion......request, the eatery to make your food less spicy......and most in India will try to accommodate your request.... Few suggestions......In Mumbai, visit "Aswad" in Dadar for typical maharashtrian food and if you are planning to visit Pune, I would suggest you try "Shreyas thali" located on "Apte road" for typical maharashtrian food....the food they serve is not spicy....the only con ( for Shreyas) is that you have to compulsorily get thali for each person....so visit it when you all are really hungry! 😊 As someone mentioned, maharashtrian food is further divided area wise....coastal areas has more of coconut based curries in both veg & non-veg while the plateau areas tend to have spicy & hot food...it also tends to be a bit more oily which helps in digestion of spicy food.😅 Have a fantastic trip!
