MOMOTARO & GENKI Family
Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO.
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

Yes, Gentaro did push Genki. She lost her balance and fell over. Gorillas a very versatile and do not usually get hurt when they fall over. Gentaro needs to be moved. They should put him Kiyomasa together in a bachelor group at one of the zoos in Japan. I love Gentaro but he's so ready to be with the bigger boys. "For the💖of gorillas".

Es war keine Absicht von Gentaro, sondern ein unglücklicher Unfall. Gentaro lief los, Kinny folgte ihm. Das übliche Rennen der beiden Brüder. Mama Genki sieht das und will ausweichen, leider zur falschen Seite, denn Gentaro nahm die gleiche Richtung. So kam es zum Unfall und Genki fiel hin. Gentaro ist kein Fliegengewicht, er hat Power und die Kraftumsetzung beim Rennen ist auch nicht wenig. 😔
Gentaro konnte nicht sofort stoppen, er war im Rennmodus, blieb aber dann stehen und schaute sich nach seiner Mama um. Kinny war bei ihr und blieb stehen, bis sie wieder auf stand. Alles ging so schnell, da passieren Unfälle. 🤷🙆
Ich hoffe, Genki hat sich nicht beim Fallen an dem großen Stein angeschlagen. Geht's dir gut, Genki? 🦍😌💚
Da kommen bestimmt wieder Kommentare wie: Gentaro hat seine Mutter mit Absicht umgestoßen oder so. Er ist doch nur mit Kinny gerannt und Mama wollte ausweichen, nahm aber die falsche Seite. Unfälle passieren überall, es muß nicht immer Absicht unterstellt werden. Schönen Tag. 😊🍀💚🌺

Kintaro is a real boss, he will be more dominant than Momotaro. I'm afraid when he achieve puberty he would not be like Gentaro who is reserved, rational and still ready to obey to his father, but Kintaro knows no bondaries, he will challange father as soon as he feel like.

I'm relieved she didn't hit her head or land on the stones. The years look to have caught up with the ol' girl. The boys likely don't realize age and death or even severe injury. I don't know how momma lost her finger.
She ate her own fingers due to severe depression back when she lived at another zoo. This was before she met Momotaro here in Kyoto City zoo.

Genki didn't bump into Gentaro, he pushed his mother. I will be glad when he is gone and she can have some piece, hopefully Kintaro won't turn out like his brother.

Nah…it was completely inadvertent. Gentaro gets a bad rap. If and/or until any sort of tension develops between him and Momotaro I see no issue in keeping him with his family. I certainly won’t be “glad” if and/or when they have to move him. I very much enjoy watching him. He’s an extremely intelligent gorilla.
