Yes, I've tried the DW pedals and they are excellent...just VERY expensive.
I use Sony Vegas for all of my video editing and I'm still experimenting with my bass drum cam. It's not perfect but will be in the future!

I've got just a couple of questions :
What drum pedal are you using? Have you ever tried the DW 9000? It's by far the best pedal i've ever played on.
What video software are you using to make your video?
And also, I'm pretty sure you're bass drum cam is out of sync from 6:39 to 7:05.
But despite that, it's still a great lesson :)
