Really looks good on top of the rock pile he built to set it on. here in Texas some of the restaurants even have the old tractors sitting on the lawns of their parking lots. Only folks like us can appreciate the old iron but I sure do. My passion is antique and vintage machine tools.
I picked up a farmall f-12 last year, complete with cultivators but rough shape. And last week picked up an Allis Chalmers RC. I have some videos on here. Love seeing old tractors saved from scrap yards.

Thats a Distillate/kero WC. Thats what the little tank thru the hood is for your gas to get it up to temp and then turn it off and the main tank on. Manifold and carb are diff too.
All unstyled WCs have this style manifold and carburetor. This one has the gasoline exhaust chamber on it, not the kerosene. But you are correct it could have originally been run on kerosene if it had the correct chamber on it.
@@Randys_Relics Right odds are it was converted to run strait gas later in life or its had a manifold or 2 over the yrs. Ours has no hole in the hood and was gasoline only right off the line. 37 flattop great grandpa bought new. Still on the farm. Nice save on them!
the trick farmers did with the late WC and WD was put a WD45 crankshaft in it and the piston kit and you had a 43 to 45hp tractor. i had one done that way. after i overhauled it it produced 47hp as i put a d17 manifold and carb on it
If you leave the factory pistons in it and go with a crank out of a 226 you'll make more than 45 horse. I don't believe they like running 87 octane with that much compression though.
Not a bad looking 8N, nor is the WD. I use to be able to tell the differences between a WD and a WD-45, but I think that info slipped my mind. 1950 is when Ford went to the side distributor and also added the Proof Meter. That one has the hole for the Proof Meter, but it's missing the meter.
Berco is a worldwide company. Based in Italy. They make all kinds of equipment. Their main product used to be heavy equipment undercarriages. Now they build all kinds of equipment.

Randy What I did with my wench is I put regular 110-volt male and female plugs Male on the control box end and female on the wench end. Then I just throw an extension cord in the truck with me, and I can be as far away from the wench as the length of the extension cord will let me. Is your wench mounted permanently to the trailer or do you put it in the box on the tongue when not in use?
That's a good idea, and you don't have to worry about dead batteries on the controller. The winch is mounted in a receiver so you can take it off when not in use.
I recently picked up a pretty nice 1936 WC that I plan to get going and keep. It hasn't run in 50 years or so. This 1937 could be saved if someone had the time and money to devote to it.
I would imagine that front bolster is pretty tough though. These tractors spent many years bouncing across plowed ground and dead furrows. I've never heard of one breaking, let alone the abuse some of the antique pullers do to them. Plus they prefer these early front ends because of there reduced weight. I don't think anything I did was going to harm it. Thanks for the concern, I appreciate the comment!
@@Randys_Relics in the 1950 s a drunk driver run into the back of dad's pull type combine. Broke the hitch pin. As dad's G John Deere went to the right , dad jumped off to the left. It went on it's top then back on it's wheels. The drunk driver's insurance paid the repair bill at the dealership. That cracked the cast iron pedestal. Dad got 2 small bones in 1 hand broke.
Did i hear you paid for those? That feels like someone selling pet. I.d expect top priority when givin such treasures away would be.trusted hands. - for which you obviously qualify! But then, the owners give them away in trusted hands, so kodos for that to the previous owners!!

Glad I'm not the only one with a "stubby" short 3rd ramp for my narrow front!
I built that thing too heavy. If it was any longer I wouldn't be able to carry it. Haha
Looks good! I was able to find one at a local trailer supply ($140 plus tax several years ago) so it isn’t as heavy built as yours no doubt.
the 2 row front cultivator should be around there somewhere for the AC WC

That WC looked good until I saw the exhaust but I still thinkit would be worth saving since it’s all complete and a rebuild kit is cheap

you didnt mention the ws is a kerosene tractor
It has dual tanks, but has a gasoline exhaust manifold chamber on it. The chambers will be marked with a G for gasoline or a K for kerosene.
The front wheel casting is weakest place to pull on!!!
