[if this is from Warriors of course] I feel like Foxglove is using a lie that he's from StarClan (outer space) to manipulate cats into doing his bidding.

Your understanding of colour and shape language never fails to amaze me.
I have no idea what's going on, but this is how I interpreted it,
Foxpaw was persuaded to join the darkforest, and her mentor commands her to kill cats and to bring them to him.
She grows into Foxglove, killing more cats and finding more friends.
After killing a mother with a kitten, she feels horrid remorse and takes care of it.
Her mentor's henchman discovers her forbidden kitten, her mentor wants to kill the kit, but she refuses, killing her mentor.
foxglove is a boy :0 but youre pretty close otherwise! and it doesnt take place in the warriors universe, these are just ocs in their own thing :3

The character designs, world design, poses, perspectives, colors, effects, editing, everything about this really, is so GOOD!! I was on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Their story is a very compelling one and I hope this won't be the last we see of these guys! With the villain of this part of their story gone (...for now?), I can see many opportunities for adventures opening up for them. :3c Thank you for sharing your awesome characters with us!
THEORY TIME:
Early in Foxglove's life, Rhyolite offers to help him get some sort of power or rank and Foxglove is excited about it. (I get strong "everything the light touches is our kingdom" vibes from 0:30.) Maybe he's lonely and lacks a purpose, so this goal quickly becomes his everything. To get to this goal, Rhyolite convinces Foxglove to kill a few cats. He feels kind of weird about it at first, but Rhyolite's justifications for the murders sound legit so Foxglove is able to push through the feeling and kill. And he kind of starts to think he's doing a good thing. But why is Rhyolite having these cats killed? Maybe they're rivals? Cats he hurt somehow and is nervous might come back for revenge? hMMMM
Rhyolite has Foxglove get Hoot to join their side. Hoot agrees. Foxglove is surprised by how easy that was. He had a big persuasive speech prepared, maybe a cool fight move or two in mind to show off and impress him, but Hoot was just like "sure lol -w-" a couple seconds in. Rhyolite has Foxglove kill more cats. He's thrilled with Foxglove's continued success and praises him greatly, but wants even more cats killed. Hoot thinks Rhyolite's....an interesting character, but sticks around because Foxglove is pretty chill. Foxglove starts to feel weird about his actions. Maybe making a friend in Hoot (someone with different ideas and goals than the cats he was raised by) sparked this. Mulberry joins the squad. He witnessed Foxglove's kill and was like 👁👄👁 He just escaped danger and would rather join these guys than be their next target. Hoot approves. Foxglove reluctantly agrees. Rhyolite is pleasantly surprised and accepts him as well. He asks Foxglove to kill another cat. The cat is evil. Foxglove kills them, freeing (the super adorable) Sunflower from the cat and making a friend in him.
Rhyolite calls the crew together and is like "Listen, now I want you to go after the most evil person alive" (his ex) and Foxglove is like "yeah!!". The others, not being as dedicated to Rhyolite as he is, are like "hhhh". Foxglove kills the cat. He realizes the cat had a kitten (Apple). WHO IS A TINY RHYOLITE?! This makes Foxglove feel sick. Rhyolite wanted him to kill his...kin?? He takes the kitten and on the way home realizes he should probably hide them as Rhyolite is out of his mind and would probably want it killed in his pursuit of the power/rank. Foxglove comes back to report his success. Rhyolite is delighted and Foxglove's friends are angry at how Rhyolite is using Foxglove and upset that he's come home so injured this time, especially when Rhyolite doesn't seem to care. Or, Rhyolite revealed the identity of the cat Foxglove just killed and they're all feeling disturbed.
Foxglove keeps caring for Apple in secret. He feels increasingly torn between Rhyolite's promises and Apple. He starts to hate Rhyolite. The squad wonders where Foxglove's always sneaking off to. They discover Foxglove's secret and agree to keep it. Buuut, one of Rhyolite's guys finds out and tells Rhyolite. And the other one snatches Apple up once the squad is gone. Rhyolite and Foxglove battle over Apple and Foxglove WINS!! By slicing Rhyolite's neck and pushing him into the void of this funky green universe.
And oh dear, that theory became,,,,longer than expected,,,,Apologies,,,,I am now off to peek at those zines. 👀

wowo I haven't been invested in a story in a long time but man was I invested in these beautifully designed characters haha I found myself rooting for the funky little mama and her kit, masterfully done!

Mulberry is the big green cat alongside, Foxglove, Hoot, and Sunflower.
Sunflower, despite not being one of the big main characters of this makes me really happy. I don’t know why. He’s just a funky dude

Wow, I would have never thought I'd be hearing this song again, it's been so long. Anyways, absolutely amazing! How you're able to have so much story telling with almost no narration or explanation is so great! They expressions at 1:32 are just my favorite, I LOVE that little grin they have, it's so great. I won't lie, I was just looking for the dark purple one almost every scene since I love them without knowing anything about them. I really enjoyed the crew that Foxglove started to develop during the whole thing as well! Amazing job with the colors and as usual, absolutely outstanding expressions and designs!
I 100% agree! I love the characters that are a little blunt or sly, and the purple one gives off that impression greatly.

ok, speculation time
note- i didn't read the zine so i only know foxglove and rhyolite by name
- rhyolite meets foxglove, who at this point is young, naïve, and relatively easy to manipulate. as such he ends up joining some sort of...murder cult(?) headed by rhyolite and his two subordinates. foxglove isn't eager to kill people or anything, but he's desperate for approval and acceptance. he kills curly-haired cat on rhyolite's orders and is a bit taken aback by how relatively easy it was
- rhyolite sends him to coerce purple cat into joining. foxglove expects a confrontation and is baffled when purple cat just casually aquiesces.
purple cat seems sorta apathetic in general and might just be taking the path of least resistance
- foxglove continues killing cats on rhyolite's orders. give of how often he has to kill guys/his loyalty to rhyolite being almost fanatic at this point, he's eventually able to put aside any empathy he might've had for them. rhyolite continues to encourage/praise foxglove
- purple cat is not especially enthused about all the murder and foxglove's commitment unsettles him, but doesn't comment on it. he'd rather not get his throat clawed open.
- something about seeing pink splotches cat unsettles foxglove. maybe he didn't want to kill them, maybe he wasn't the one that killed them?
- while pondering pink splotch cat's body, foxglove encounters greenish-brown cat. foxglove is like D:< because this random guy saw him standing over a dead dude and might think foxglove killed them. everything ends up being chill, though, he's just impressed by foxglove (who seems a little flattered).
- purple cat and foxglove bring greenish-brown cat to the group and are all like "uhh...we brought this man back for you guys but as a member not as a murder victim". rhyolite is a-ok with this.
- foxglove seems to really hate light brown cat. don't know if this is personal or not
- light brown cat is talking to sunshine cat. the latter looks like they really don't want to be there
- foxglove kills light brown cat. sunshine cat is happy about this and joins the group out of gratitude
- rhyolite gives some sort of speech to the four protagonist(?) cats. foxglove is the only one who looks like he wants to be there- greenish brown cat is visibly uncomfortable and purple cat is just :|
- sunshine cat notices how foxglove is hanging off rhyolite's every word and goes "hmm" internally
- foxglove kills darker brown cat and then proceeds to freak out when he realizes that a) she has a kit and b) he just killed her in front of her kit
- don't know why the kit looks like smaller rhyolite but they probably have some sort of connection
- the kit is obviously distraught and foxglove decides to hide them from rhyolite after seeing rhyolite react enthusiastically to him killing darker brown cat
- he cares for the kit in secret while becoming more and more angry at rhyolite's behavior.
- rhyolite says something that threatens the kit more directly at the next group meeting and foxglove freaks out. he immediately goes to check on the kit, who is oblivious and adorable
- sunshine cat, purple cat, and greenish-brown cat caught on to how foxglove was acting earlier and followed him. initially foxglove snarls and moves to defend the kit, but sunshine cat explains that they don't mean the kit any harm. foxglove is appreciative and relieved. the kit gets properly introduced to the other three
- evil brown cat, one of rhyolite's subordinates, sees the four of them with the kit and is shocked. nobody sees him, though
- rhyolite confronts foxglove about the kit. evil brown cat is smug. foxglove is panicking
- rhyolite tells foxglove to kill the kit. when he refuses, green cat, rhyolite's other subordinate, arrives in with the kit- presumably evil brown cat told the others where it was being hidden. rhyolite moves to kill the kit and foxglove jumps in front of them to defend them. foxglove and rhyolite fight, and foxglove kills rhyolite
