I just realized that you remind me a bit of a childhood friend I kind of fell out of touch with. Maybe that's part of why your videos are so comforting to me. :) anyway, I love your sense of humor and I always enjoy watching your videos. So thank you!
Lived in Florida for 30 years where humidity was outrageous! I usually kept a piece of bread in my brown sugar bags to help with clumping. When it got hard, toss it in the yard for the birds/squirrels & grab another piece of bread. And you are WAY calmer than I ever would be in a kitchen like that spinning so many plates!
It’s fun to watch an engaging, clever young person figuring things out in the kitchen. But at the same time, so many moments of, “No!” “No,no,no” Aaaaa. Nice she kept reminding herself to calm down. I took that to heart for myself as well. Well done! 👏🏾 👍🏾
I’ve quite literally rewatched your videos at least 4 times. I aspire to have ur chaotic chilled energy. U make me ponder the great dilemmas of life like should I start putting crackers in my brown sugar? Honestly I vids crack me up sm. thank you for the best content on yt. Also first comment ever on yt and I’ve been watching for the past 4 years😂
ok i think i saw something about putting a wet towel like a wet kitchen towel or paper towel over your potatoes or leaving them in a cold salt water bath to stop them from getting brown? can't remember but there's definitely a trick to stop the browning if you ever wanted to try it!!
Just a tip for the brown sugar! Store it in a sealed tupperware in the fridge instead and it won’t clump together!! So much easier my moms been doing it for years!
For the brown sugar: I saw something once saying to zap the clumped brown sugar in the microwave covered with a slightly damp napkin for a few seconds works and then separate the sugar with a fork!
everything looks amazing. as someone from the southern hemisphere thanksgiving food always looks so good but it's basically summer here now. need to remember to try this in winter
brown sugar tip!!! i pour out the dry, lumpy parts into a big bowl or glass measuring cup, cover it with a damp cloth and microwave for 20 sec at a time. might take a few rounds but eventually you'll be able to break the clumps apart and pour it back into the bag!
I always look forward to your thanksgiving cooking videos 😊 I love your style of vegan cooking, not so much fake stuff and lots of yummy good stuff ❤️ Also the “they don’t get mushy when I make them... I don’t know maybe I just have the magic touch” made me crack up bc I love the confidence there lol
In the beginning of the vid my mind just instantly goes to the "todays the day i learn to flyyyeh, FLLLllYIN THRU THE AIR" vine, we love a vine ref queen
I’ve never seen anybody who cooks exactly like me and has the same tastes. I love this! Especially since this is pretty much what I did last year but this year I just wasn’t up for it especially since nobody can come over and I’m alone.
You have to try Andy's mashed potatoes from Bon Appetit! They are amazing. I made ours with non-dairy products and it was the best mash I have ever had!
also follow me on twitch lol www.twitch.tv/emiewi :-) :-0 :~) :-D
im here wer u ? xo
I feel like you slowly transforming from a chill vegan to a chaotic vegan
and I'm loving every moment of the transition
Chaotic vegan is a vibe

"Sometimes you don't want things to be perfect. You just want them to be made."
That is a definition of my upcoming mid-terms.
okay but how do you look extra pretty in this vid tho
hello robbers, would u like a green bean?
Genuinely one of the naturally funniest people I think ever
emily: yalls green beans get mushy? guess im just built different 😤
omgah the hair, the glasses, the fit, the food, the realness!!! the bod, the essence. HERE FOR IT. YES.
I always add salt when I'm cooking onions because salt helps to release moisture and I'm convinced it helps them cook faster and better
it does indeed help them cook faster!!!
And it helps to stop them from possibly burning; as the salt draws out the water in the onions xox
what an OUTSTANDING SWEATSHIRT
emily out here saving 2020
You’re such a chill and calming person I literally wish I had a friend like you in real life so I could feel the way I feel when watching your videos
im Canadian, I don't celebrate thanks giving, I have finals to study for, but here I am, and im here for it !!
"I prepare my vegan turkey loaf not like other girls" 😂😂
This is my favorite one of these thanksgiving videos you’ve done, sticking to the food you really wanted to make made the vibes good!!
my favorite thing is watching this on 1.5 speed just for that extra ~chaos~ vibe
Right???😭
Love your video. I’ve been making your thanksgiving recipes from 4 years for like 4 years. I love your old one. I shared it many times.
I'm not even American and I always enjoy these videos
my old favorite thing in your house that sometimes makes an appearance was the 𝓂𝑜𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓈 𝒶𝓇𝑒 𝓈𝓅𝑒𝒸𝒾𝒶𝓁 mug but then i saw the dish towel on the oven and it took over first place
ilysm and this is an amazing vid as always but can we petition to rename thanksgiving and openly repudiate the history behind it yall?
This has become my comfort channel
Emily’s commentary is truly what makes the videos to me ! Happy thanksgiving everyone!
I’ve been rewatching all your videos the past week (and running out) so this was such a pleasant surprise to my evening!
Mood for all of 2020:
“No, you shan’t have.”
Feel like I’m hangin wit my vegan bestie
i love your sweater btw
I just realized that you remind me a bit of a childhood friend I kind of fell out of touch with. Maybe that's part of why your videos are so comforting to me. :) anyway, I love your sense of humor and I always enjoy watching your videos. So thank you!

I’ve been too sad to cook since quarantine started but this gives me some inspiration. happy thanksgiving Emily thank you for the video!
u are truly the best youtuber. just chillin. just bein urself. i love it ♡ thank u for the video!
“I like em brown .. I like em lumpy”... that’s where I lost it 😂😂
Why are American food packagings so much bigger than in Europe lol
that olive oil bottle is an absolute unit
We buy a lot of stuff in bulk 🤷🏾♀️ usually comes out to be cheaper
I buy that exact olive oil, and I live in Denmark....
Or this HUGE vinegar
and that's on costco
i don't celebrate thanksgiving but i rewatch all your thanksgiving videos a lot! also that sweater is so cute!!
You're the best! I've been feeling off these last days and your chillness/vibe heals my soul or something :")
omg yes i’ve been rewatching your past ones this is exactly what i needed!!!!
i always love your holiday cooking videos! In fact that was how I found you, my sister was watching your first thanksgiving video :)
4 years later and you're still coming in clutch for my thanksgiving 💖

Yes. Mashed potatoes in the center of the plate. Yes. 👩🍳
Also really enjoyed your “well wishes” for those enjoying large gatherings this year!
i don't know why but theres something v cute about you standing with one hand behind your back while stirring the pan
you randomly popped up on my recommended last year and inspired me for xmas... now you pop up again to save me once more. thanks!
you have such a distinct personality, so distinct that i can imagine it in my brain and it wouldn’t be anyone but you
your hair looks so good !!
also everyone i know has those blue and white corningware dishes they are so good
im obsessed with your hair it's so cute omg
salting the onion is a good practice, it helps to draw the water out of it and it fries faster and better
I keep my brown sugar soft with a little bit of orange peel, haven't heard of using a cracker before.
Your energy is ✨ immaculate✨
It’s fun to watch an engaging, clever young person figuring things out in the kitchen. But at the same time, so many moments of, “No!” “No,no,no” Aaaaa.
Nice she kept reminding herself to calm down. I took that to heart for myself as well.
Well done! 👏🏾 👍🏾
I’m here for the arm choreography 👏🏽👏🏽

Your videos make me feel so safe♥️

your hair looks so good!!

Ever since your first sweet potato casserole, I’ve made it my must have every thanksgiving🥰
“It’s already baking little pies in there” made me laugh an unreasonable amount 😂
ok i think i saw something about putting a wet towel like a wet kitchen towel or paper towel over your potatoes or leaving them in a cold salt water bath to stop them from getting brown? can't remember but there's definitely a trick to stop the browning if you ever wanted to try it!!
As an Brit watching you make the sweet potato thing truly scared me
:-)
it is absolutely delicious
yayy emily! i always look forward to these each year ❤️

This is what my day needed
everything looks amazing. as someone from the southern hemisphere thanksgiving food always looks so good but it's basically summer here now. need to remember to try this in winter
We have a little terracotta looking bear that helps with the moisture in the brown sugar.
ur videos make my heart happy
I watched this on 1.5 speed without realizing it and the chaos was intensified
watching this while eating that exact same recipe for green bean casserole is so surreal
yayyy! ur hair looks amazing btw :-)
nothing in my head just: OAT YEAH
your hair looks so good !
When you cut up the potatoes, cover them with water already so they won't turn brown. :)
I look forward to these every year💕
brown sugar tip!!! i pour out the dry, lumpy parts into a big bowl or glass measuring cup, cover it with a damp cloth and microwave for 20 sec at a time. might take a few rounds but eventually you'll be able to break the clumps apart and pour it back into the bag!
Omg congrats on 100K queen!
Violife is the SHIT. Happy Thanksgiving Emily 🥰
looks soooo good every year!😍
YUMM I need to go to your place for the holidays!
You should do a snack tour of your pantry and go through your favorite healthy snacks, and then also go through your favorite unhealthy ones
I always look forward to your thanksgiving cooking videos 😊 I love your style of vegan cooking, not so much fake stuff and lots of yummy good stuff ❤️
Also the “they don’t get mushy when I make them... I don’t know maybe I just have the magic touch” made me crack up bc I love the confidence there lol

the darker hair looks so good!
I’ve never seen anybody who cooks exactly like me and has the same tastes. I love this! Especially since this is pretty much what I did last year but this year I just wasn’t up for it especially since nobody can come over and I’m alone.

Great vid! I had my first plant-based Thanksgiving this year!
