I just love watching you guys. It makes my heart full to hear you talk about Jesus. Jesus the reason for the season. May God bless you, your family and your amazing channel. Merry Christmas
I love y’all so much!!! My husband isn’t a Trader Joe’s person…..but I AM! Ours is across town and very busy all the time! I’m going to get my daughter to go with me…I need that TEA!!! It sounds like something I could live on! Sean, you’re so much fun! Just the type of SIL I’d love to have! Ally….you’re the daughter I always wanted! (I think I’ve said this before). I can’t wait to see your Christmas cookie recipes….how about one for those Trader Joe’s peppermint cookies….I’m a sworn peppermint lover!!! Love the video and the way you react to each other! If that ain’t love, nothin’ is!! ❤❤❤
I'm also an hour and a half from Atlanta. Wish I had seen this video before Friday. We were there for a concert, and had to go to TJ's, of course. I would have gotten some of that tea, sounds yummy. Thanks for all your videos. I love dreaming about making all the things you show us!
The Mandarin Orange is the BOMB!! I live 200 miles from TJs, last time I bought 25 bags to last me a while. I remember TJs from the beginning days when it was more a liquor/imported cigarette store in California. I'm going to turn my foodie cousins onto the store now that I know they are in Sandy Springs, thanks!
Yes! I too never understood why we didn’t/don’t celebrate at least a few of the Jewish holidays. I think it’s great that you’ve integrated Hanukkah into your Christmas celebrations. ❤
Well, if you’re Christian, Jesus fulfilled the feasts, that’s why we don’t celebrate them. He is our Passover, He is our Firstfruits, etc. Jesus, we worship Him, not Jewish tradition.
Yes. I celebrate Christmas different then most. I think everyone has their own traditions and beliefs. My favorite tea is Hot Cinnamon Spice from Harney and Sons. Its so good. It sounds like it is comparable to your Winter Wake Up.
Oh my goodness love how shawn tried to bum u out lady lol..to funny..lol..cant wait for the cookie cooking ..love ur tradition cause christmas is about jesus❤..have a wonderful day ❤️ ❤
I was planning to stop at Trader Joe’s today after my doctor’s appointment so now I have a few things to look for. 😂 I love the frozen meat lasagna it’s a great meal during this holiday season. The hand cream is so good and they have the best price on 4 count dryer balls. I’ve really enjoyed everything I’ve gotten from there and the employees are genuinely nice and helpful.
I went to TJ Friday. I got the veggie fried rice-was $1 less than the chicken one. Added some turkey, was yummy. Also got some eggnog yogurt-deeelicious! By the way, Aldi’s organic marinara is better than any I’ve found and not as much salt!
I totally agree with you about Jewish holidays! I was NEVER taught anything about them growing up. I'd love to learn! Your show is so fun to watch! I've already tried several of your recipes. I used to live in Smyrna & have been to the Trader Joe's in Sandy Springs! I miss living there. (I'm in Minnesota now!! 😜) 💕
I love Trader Joe’s. We get to go every three weeks as it is near one of my doctor’s offices. I love their Greek yogurt especially the honey and vanilla bean flavors. Also, get the unexpected cheddar which is cheddar and Parmesan combined. The cookie butter is great on toast. We buy the brioche bread and make French toast with it. In the Fall, definitely get the maple butter!
Trader Joe's is my all time favorite store . When we moved to North Idaho, the closest one was about 40 mins away. Definitely took for granted that California had so many. But this past month they opened one up in our city now only about 10 mins away! So exciting but also dangerous, lol !! So excited for your Christmas cookies!!!
Wish this video had come out before I went to Trader Joe’s last night. It’s in my town, but it takes forever to get there. Lol So I won’t be going back until sometime next year. Wish I had known about that tea, though!!
I love when you two are together! Probably you do too. But it’s fun for us to see you guys banter and talk and joke and laugh. So bad Shawn had to work and earn money. But thank you, Shawn for joining in the unloading and tasting for us. Always grateful for that. PS if you’re giving your dog those bullies, research the process of how they are made along with any other “rawhide” type dog chew. Ask your own self, would you want to eat something that tells you to wash your own hands after handling it? Do you know why they advise to wash after handling it?
Monrovia, California? Girl, how in the world did you end up in Georgia? That's a story, right there. haha Love your haul. Olives, blue cheese....amazing! I must say, Shawn is the best-est taste-tester on the Tube. I am totally unanimous in that! Love it.
Shawn’s work gave us the opportunity to open a new office here 12 years ago. We wanted our kids to be able to afford life so we took the leap. It’s been a blessing!
I go to the TJ's in Athens. I was wondering if that was the one you'd be going to, but I see it isn't. I'll have to pick up some of that tea. My family loves their Hazlenut cookies w/the cream in the center and also TJ's Kung Pao Chicken. I have a friend that drives 2 hrs. to the Athens one from Augusta, and she said the TJ's employees told her they were putting one there, too (Augusta).
Ya'll are so cute and so fun. Always have fun together that is my recipe for a long lasting marriage. My husband and I had fun together and were married for 40 years until he went home to the Lord.
@LittleHillHomesteadGa thank you. I am just grateful that the Lord blessed me with 40 wonderful years with him. I will miss him every day but the awesome memories of our time together and the love and fun that we had are so important and priceless to me. You and your husband remind me so much of us 20 years ago. Always hold on to the fun and love.
Oh, Ali.................you are such a baaaadddd influence!! My TJ is about 20 min away and I got 10 boxes of tea!!!! Love it! I didn't see any Lacey cookies at my store, darn it. They looked so good. Could you share your recipe for them???? And last but not least, thanks for sharing your thoughts about the Jewish traditions. I never thought about it like that. I think it will add a new demission to the history of Christ and the history of the Jews. Merry CHRISTmas! Deb
I personally think that I as a Christian should be much more aware and educated about the "Jewish" feasts. I studied them a couple years ago and instantly felt my walk had been missing something vital. They were given by God to remind them (us) of their history, God's faithfulness, and of His promises of things to come. When Christ returns we will celebrate with a feast and most Christians will have no idea of what any of it means or how to partake. I am certainly no expert and have so much to learn, but if God commanded it and Jesus celebrated them, I want to know more! Thanks for consistently great videos that always teach me something new!
2.5 hours? Does that include traffic time while *in* Atlanta? You're brave. Driving in Atlanta is worse than driving through Los Angeles. Luckily I live close to one because the cranberry dunkers, triple ginger snaps cookies, and houseplants are the only things I get when I go to TJ's but my MIL sends the peppermint Jo Jo's cookies from TJ's for Christmas each year. Surprisingly they make the 2000+ mile trip from California really well. Nice haul. I'm glad to find that you're embracing the biblical holidays. We started going to Messianic gatherings and ditch traditional holidays about 20 years ago or so. Fwiw: Jesus did celebrate Hanukkah at somewhere about John 10:20. It was called the feast of dedication.
The Trader Joe’s parking lot is so small and it’s hard to get into. I end up so stressed out and so shopping is not fun for me. I have decided to not shop there. Maybe they will build another one in this area some day

Yet the Council of Nicaea did away with Passover all together. Early Christian’s celebrated both. I like what you’re doing for Christmas and incorporating parts of Hanukkah into your traditions. Trader Joe’s has in the past had delicious packages of chocolate coins. I didn’t see them this year😒. Try making some latkes this year or purchasing them from Trader Joe’s in the freezer section. They’re delicious! I would love to see if you have a good recipe for the caramel chips from Trader Joe’s. I tried the recipe on the back of bag last year and didn’t care for the taste of the cookies. The chips on their own taste fantastic!
I think the misconception is that it is organic and somehow healthier when in fact it’s only less sugar and everything else is about the same as a crappy jar from the store. It’s trendy and at $7 a jar I just can’t jump on board.
The reason Jesus still celebrated the feasts is because He was Jewish. After He came and became our sacrifice, He fulfilled all the reason for the feasts. The feasts were looking forward to the Messiah that would come. The Old Testament was filled with types and shadows, but when the real Passover and Firsfriuits, etc. came, we don’t need types and shadows anymore. Totally agree! We are doing it for context and to learn his traditions. We want to understand how Jesus lived and how we can further our relationship with him. We use it as a reminder of Gods faithfulness in our lives. We do a nightly prayer to Jesus when we light the candles and give thanks to him for what he did for us. Thank you so much for your comment. Orange chicken is one of our new favorites. Hope you enjoy it too!
