Elizabeth was a skilled leader. Particularly her skills in collecting talented and intelligent advisors. She was a great coordinator and leader, capable of guiding her nation into one of its highest periods.
This is really perfectly timed, we just learned about the Tudor period, and it is so much easier to learn from these kind of videos than from a teacher's explonation. By the way, can you make a video about Oliver Cromwell? It would be amazing!
I guess it's simple history because lots of the details get skipped other -- ie why did Henry split the church and who was Lady Jane Grey? The plots to depose Elizabeth etc the relationships between both Queen Marys and Elizabeth were also very complex.. Not sure you can really learn it all in four minutes but we can try
Goron Gamer yeh it was alright lmao u good for starting gcse revision rn, theres a lot of people (including me) that only started like a week before, which obviously drops the grade boundaries a hella lot so if u keep working now ur in a very good position

I believe (I learnt this last year) the English set the ships on fire and directed them towards the docked Spanish and made them split and that's where they attacked the Spanish even with damaged ships
The Galleons were too big and slow too manoeuvre around in the storm. The British ambushed the Spanish and used medium/small ships to destroy and outmanoeuvre the Spanish.
0:33 I just wanted to point out, Mary did not become queen right after Edward VI died. Before Mary, Jane Grey reigned as queen for 9 days until Mary had her executed so she could become queen.
Reflex 9856 religión es initially created to unify groups of conquered people. So the real effect is that kingdoms and empires would take longer to develop. People had ethics before religion and we'll have them after it disappears
Great video. Little point- Mary put Elizabeth in the the tower because of her suspected role in the 1554 Wyatt rebellion, not just her being protestant
In 7th grade language arts I had a group that we all were assigned to read a book called Mary Bloody Mary. It was about Mary and Elizabeth's lives. Most of the information in this video was in that book. It was a very sad and slightly disturbing book but we all enjoyed it.
curious detail though: i’ve read about how elizabeth was a bit hesitant to order the execution of her cousin mary of scots. this wasn’t mentioned here but i find it a curious detail... one of my favorite queens from history.
ive actually seen somewhere that she sent the letter approving her death then sent another saying that letter was not meant to be said (a lie) so that it would look like it wasnt her fault
Fun Fact: Elizabeth I was the last female monarch of House Tudor. She never married had no Heir nor Children the line was Broken 420 years ago. Instead she named James VI son of Mary queen of scots her Heir and after she died in 1603 James ascended to the throne. Thus House Tudor became extinct.
"Yeah we're British, and we know our accent is weird, but please take us seriously. Oh, here comes my great friends, Nicholas Bacon and Nick Throckmorton, Throcky for short"
That's why the current queen Elizabeth the 2nd is technically Elizabeth the 1st in Scotland, as the Scottish and English monarchies didn't unite until after the death of Elizabeth the 1st of England
In fact the current Queen is really only Elizabeth II in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands, Isle of Man and you could argue Newfoundland as well
Hey, so I have a task to create comic based on part of any England history, and this is caught my attention. I'd like to turn your narration (and probably change some of it) into my comic. I will credit you along with the link. I'm not really good with drawing, but I hope it can makes more people know your channel. It's such a good video that you inspire me to choose this
When I saw Cate Blanchett play the role of Queen Elizabeth in the 1998 film "Elizabeth" and the 2007 film "Elizabeth: The Golden Age," Blanchett looks a lot like the actual queen.

And Queen Elizabeth l also asked the Ottomans, "Islamic Caliphate" to help fight the Spanish and sent many gifts to the Turkish Sultan.
To be fair, it seems Spain was a much closer and significant threat to English interest that the Ottomans.

The Galleons were too big and slow too manoeuvre around in the storm. The British ambushed the Spanish and used medium/small ships to destroy and outmanoeuvre the Spanish.
It is unknown wether the Spanish army was in the ships or not at the time. So they could've also killed spains army and navy. COULD of.

Elizabeth didn't marry partly because if she were to marry her husband would've been more of power since he was male.
