Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

All of you TOTALLY missed an opportunity.
Add a bunch of weight blocks, each on a separately controller detachable block.
As you lose balloons, drop a weight to balance it.
I say you need a round 2 of this.
Or hear me out, don't add weight, keep the same amount of balloons and just float endlessly up into the sky

Yes! Only issue is if someone destroys a collection of weights, then they just fly up infinitely and nobody wins

@@35manning That is a good approach, it would still require a lose scenario of someone infinitely floating higher though. But ultimately sounds good!

Frank, you shouldn't have removed your shield at the start! xD Its a jungle out there if scrapman sees a loophole/weakpoint in the rules he will absoluteley take advantage of it. ;P

The bois should do a purely 'form' build battle. It shouldn't really have function, but should be a really detailed build. Then it could become a series like "Who can build the most detailed car/plane" ...you get the point
Maybe They can make a flyable plane that looks like a painting
Or a helicopter battle, but the blades have to be intersecting at an angle like the copper chopper oe whatever from that one movie
Also, has anyone noticed that Scrapman looks suspiciously Norwegian... I'm 89% sure he is related to Jeb...
nah, i've thought of that too but i don't think it would be fun or fair because yzuei would stomp on scrap and any other possible members
A form battle would be a bad one for Scrapman. He would struggle through it and it would not be fun for him.

3:06 close bit quite balloon core. But clown core is a thing. Its very.... interesting
Boat battle, but with no buoyancy pieces. You have to use only balloons, or propellers to not sink, but you can’t float away upwards either. If you either stay under or stay in the air for more than 10 seconds, you lose. ( or you could just use an altitude sensor and dynamite. )

Pls ask scrap why sometimes his videos notify and sometimes don't notify for an hour exactly after video drop. I'm no longer member due to lame financial things but i am still here.
It's not like members see the video an hour early because there's tons of people who comment like first and stuff so you know exactly when it dropped but almost none are members. It makes no sense to me why sometimes I only see the video exactly one hour after it drops.
@@DETHdressedInRED I think it's more a RUclips problem I just so happen to be on RUclips a lot more lately and I'll watch the video before I get a notification for it. It should send out a notification as the video drops but as you say they don't come through until an hour later after the video has actually dropped. I've had this notification issue with every channel to be honest.

That balloon core joke made me literally laugh out loud. And I do mean literally literally.
Hydrofoil game of tag. Player builds respective speedboats to escape the hydrofoil tagger, ramming the speedboats until they sink, and the hydrofoil can repair, tagger with the least time to tag the escapers win.

the rocket and emp rounds are so much fun to watch with all the tension of the 1 shot kill, awesome video!

Seeing you guys use ship-themed airships gave me an IDEA:
A two-part challenge where you start off with a ship-to-ship ocean battle, and then in the second part you need to turn your boat into an airship without removing parts (maybe even keeping the same controls?).

I love how scrap turned into an atom at the end. I think a challenge where scrap tries to ‘tame the atom’ or basically control flight while the creation turns to spaghetti
I like how with most trailmaker contests you kinda theme your builds they look really nice!
Genius strategy would have been to make a weight dropping system and have extra balloons so if they get taken out you can just drop some weight and be back on track
Once again i ask for long range carrier vs carrier battles where airplanes can only resupply once back at carrier

i feel like with the power coupling physics, once they reach a certain damage threshold, they just start tearing the build apart on it's own.

If you have an air compressor and you put two fingers on the end you can continuously make that balloon sound without the balloon. Maybe that should be next year's April fools video a "balloon core song"
New game idea, have each of your own fan bases make you guys planes/ cars or anything else within set limits to fight each other with. Best team wins?
I would love to see some "revisited" episodes, in which you take ideas you already had, and do them again with the knowledge you have from the already done challenges.

i feel like in these kinds of battles where getting hit enough has a chance of actually getting you more height instead of less, such as with balloons, it would be more fair to say 'whoever loses all controll of their altitude is out' rather than 'whoever hits the ground', thus you can't have an outcome where someone's seat flies straight up because the rest of their vehicles gone and win by default
you have to do a dogfight where you have to switch each other's controls to random controls

You should really mount a camera to you weapons pod in these challenges, because it'll make free-shooting long before lock-on feasible. Especially during the Rocket Round.
The rockets were so satisfying against the balloon ships.
Andrew Huang did actually do a found sound song where he covered 99 Red Balloons with just exactly that, red balloons
You should do a dogfight where you use the inflatable balloons as your only source of lift, but you can only have them at maximum or minimum power.
I would love to see a mech battle with the bois. Mechs that have two legs and arms, melee or gun fight. Love ur content scrapman!
scrap! yuzei's glitchy build gave me an awesome idea for you to revisit. you could *utilize the power of spaghetti as an anti-missile* system by creating a barrier of glitched power couplings to disrupt weapon targeting!
Looking at Yzuei's build, I'm concerned they have incorporated Scrap mechanic physics into Trailmakers.

Hey! Out of context, but can you make a tensegrity structure using power couplers??!!
You should have done this with the submarine ballast tanks instead of a single inflatable balloon, that way you could better control the lift when damaged, and it would still rely on the party balloons for lift.
I'm appalled that no one thought to make the house from the movie "Up" and weaponize it.
But good builds as usual, nonetheless.
Pre-design castle, where you can hide a certain determined number of explosives and then use a catapult to aim at the other in a turn based style. First one to explode all wins.
You should have made the balloons on invisible power couplings. Maybe incorporate that next time.
How about a similar idea except it is only emps and all of your balloons are detachable, so its a gamble of whether your balloons fly off or not

I would've added detachable weights so once I started losing balloons I could maintain buoyancy. That, or float away while someone else sinks.

You boys you should do another challenge like this but with 2 people per team, build your ships to the complexity limit, still using ballons, have 1 person to fly and the second to operate the artillery 👍🏻

I just came up with an amazing idea, do the same thing where you use balloons, but you have every balloon attached to a detachable block with an input, and you use emp’s
You joke about ballooncore but there are very recognizable cartoon sound effects that are made with balloons (also if done properly, you could attach a balloon to a wind instrument)
You should make balloon relying boats so if your balloons get shot you start to sink like in real life.
This totally reminded me of Balloon Fight on NES. I'm old.
You should experiment with the power coupling spasms as a weapon. I was thinking a timed missile/rocket that after a few seconds, spasms and helps the explosive make contact.
I would test it myself but my current laptop cannot handle trailmakers
Idea vor a new round: same idea, everybody uses ballon’s, but every ballon gets one tnt and you have to use only the emp weapon
I'd love to see this in an "Overpowered vs..." video
You guys could do a transform battle, using the transform ability as lives and each time a vehicle gets destroyed, transform to a different functioning vehicle instead of going out, going until you run out of forms. You could do different planes or multiple types of the same terrain, like planes to helicopters, ECT.

You know your build with the infinite rockets, and the one with infinite bombs. Well you should put those two together and make an even deadlier plane. Just a suggestion
Despite all my rage I am still just a balloon in a cage
You could redo this challenge, and allow combat to continue on water. So if you are in the water you cannot fire up but you can attack others in the water, making it a 2 part battle

If you think about how guns work, I would have gone for having the floating balloon on several power couplers away from the seat and basically have a big "hole" at the center of gravity.
Kinda like the drone battle that you guys did.

I got an idea for a Dogfight. Everyone has one magnet in his plane to try to grab the other one and smash him into a mountain. Could be fun. 😅
A cool video could be an all terrain hide and seek/tag game. Maybe even have it be an evolution match .

Game idea: Try to make the smallest flying thing possible. Whoever has the fewest blocks and/or power cores gets a point. Then you fight. Do the normal weapon cycle. Whoever wins gets a point. First to (enter number here) wins! :D
