Update!
Cap was nice enough to put a heavier return spring into the beastie before I picked her up. She now runs happily on 3s, with half again more DPS than the video.
She ran Jet branded ACC head halfdarts hilariously. Half of them were decapped. She ran DZ Bamboos flawlessly. I am currently practicing my painting, and pondering how detailed I want to be painting. I am enjoying the beastie greatly so far!
Definitely agree with you on the HvZ legal. When I get around to making mine I’ll be doing that.

It’s videos like this that make me love this hobby. I love nerf, there’s so many different styles and blasters. Plus the mods like this make me happy, seeing an older blaster converted for modern mags and ammo is cool to see.

Mortality Nerf Just had to replace half the blaster with epoxy! I thought you had it closer to 200, though? Did you intentionally lower it?
Mortality Nerf has many hours of experience modding Stampedes, maybe his articles on Reddit can help you mod Eir.
Also, what are your thoughts on Unscrupulous Modefiler's Absolution project? He makes absolvers, too, and his homemade rockets are scary.

I have an Icon Stampede. Used Ezekiel's kit. Discovered that the plunger tube Hasbruh uses with the Icon is so bad internally that there is no point in modding it as an AEG blaster. THEREFORE, I am in the (COVID-19) process of converting it to pure flywheel power!!! This is not a simple process. I am using the empty plunger/bolt as the pusher driven by the gearbox (that's the easy part) and fixing a Stryfe/RS cage in place of the dart gate (The moderately challenging part). The REALLY challenging part is proving to be carving out and filling in the grip to accommodate a traditional rev trigger and getting lined up with an Omron 21 Amp microswitch. But I shall prevail!!! It's working out by re-purposing some RS parts left over from a previous project. The pusher motor not having to fight a plunger spring should get a good ROF on 3S and not get very hot, since very low load. I have named the project: BLASPHEMY lol. Cheers!

Normally they leave in the stock motor in stampede mod
It is the stock motor.
There is no need to change the stock motor. However on my channel, i have used a different motor in one of my game videos. It shoots 1 dart faster (from 6rof to 7 rof) but it heats up real fast too, leading to the pinion gear heating up and loosening from the motor shaft.
Moral of the story, stick to the stock motor!

Did you rewire the stampede at all to install this kit or just the lipo install? I want to upgrade my stampede's spring and gears but rewiring the entire thing is scary given how complicated it is to me

Hey Cap on eBay I got a mangled stampede nothing phisical or moving was touched but the wiring was cut in random places and I done know how to wire it. I am wondering is Eir all custom wiring or semistock wiring for the main blaster? If you know of a good wiring diagram so that I can use it instead of cutting it apart for integrations.

I'm guessing it would look like a sharpfure painted up like a vp70...but that is just a guess...
I assume that it can no longer fire full-length darts, but one can never by to sure. Am I correct in my assumption? If so, why is it that it cannot fire both, and would there be a way to acheive such a combination?
It cannot, no. The pusher sits too far forward to chamber fill length darts.
Hypothetically the old brass breach system should be able to chamber either.

M16A1 with 9mm mag and M203 Under-barrel Grenade Launcher
Solidworks is the best in my opinion, but its expensive. Fusion360 is less expensive and still a great tool. Free CAD softwares do exist, but they are quite limited. I'm a solidworks guy myself, but I do CAD and blueprints for a living. Its worth it to me to pay for good software. Just some food for thought.
Does anyone know the diameter of that metal inner barrel? A 7kg spring + longer barrel + scar barrel seems like it would be perfect for hvz

@@ninjasack9134 all 2s batteries are the same voltage, 7.4v. The differences are capacity (mAh) and discharge (c-rating). Together they determine the current and longevity of the battery. For a stampede you want high capacity (bigger). Luke only sells batteries that have high enough discharge for our hobby. So yes, any 2s that Luke sells will work.

My modified stampede the basilisk has a 9kg spring in it and is running on 3 lithium ion 3.7 volt batteries so I was wondering what FPS that would be because I have a chrono barrel and it is saying around the 60s for FPS so please just reply so I know what fps it would actually be
If it is the stock breach then around 60 fps.

Possible? Absolutely. Would it work afterwards? Probably not.

No. IMR's do not provide enough Current to create sufficient Torque to compress a spring that heavy.

Is there any way to get a stampede up to about 100-120 with full lengths?
Yes, people have done it with brass breeches. I have a guide for one that Ze Germans sent me but have never installed it.
Captain Xavier is that guide for sale publicly?
If it’s a sealed breech and a talon adapter, can’t you just take out the adapter for lower fps full lengths use?
I don't have a ton of knowledge on pusher breeches but I think the pusher part is too far forward for a full-length to get in front of it.
^ what Volpurr said. It is not a universal breach like a Caliburn or a DartZone Pro.

Time for a little Nerf Horror story
When I was a kid I jammed my Stampede using Whistler darts because I thought they'd fit. Spent 30 minutes trying to remove the dart and was successfull. But some streamlines through it and it worked fine. So what's the takeaway from this don't be daft like me
