Can you have 100% of an animal's feed from this system? Or do you need to have a (smaller?) percent be some other type of nutrients?

Can someone explain whats going on here? Why would you take grain which is a perfectly good animal feed, then germinate it in an overly expensive setup, only to end up with a product that isn't as nutritious as the grain you started with. Why not just crush the grain and feed along side straw/hay?
how do I grow wheatgrass with the fodderpro 3.0 system without mold?
+Rick Johnson there could be a few variables in your growing environment causing the mold. You may need to look at the ventilation in your growing environment. One of the largest factors however could be the temperature. We recommend temperatures between 60-75 degrees to avoid mold issues. You will also want to be sure to give your channels a good cleaning as the mold could be leftover from a previous cycle and therefore continuing to cause problems. A simple solution with 10% bleach should get rid of any remaining mold.
How can I purchase one fodder feed system to feed 10 cows every day
It is hard to answer which seed is best and most economical. Prices vary based on location, and depending on what type of livestock you own, the variety of seed will also vary. There is not really a catch all seed that is best for everyone.

Adarsh Santuka It will have a positive effect on egg production. You can see a higher quality egg overall with deeper yolk color and an enhanced taste. Chickens will respond best to Alfalfa or Barley.

We recommend watering for 2 minutes every 2-3 hours. Each water cycle typically uses 9-11 gallons of water, which is less water than what is used in an average 10 minute shower.

The 9-11 gallons of water covers our entire line of systems. While a larger, custom system may require additional water usage, depending on the system that fits your needs, that level of water consumption covers the area of the system. We recommend a ventilated room or building for your fodder production. Circulation fans, roll-up/drop-down siding or roof vents should handle most facilities. However, if your in a very hot, humid location, additional ventilation may be required. If you have any other questions, you can contact one of our Fodder Specialists by phone at 860-528-1119. These use artificial light, right? That seems very expensive
These systems do require supplemental lighting, however, the lighting requirements are not overly dramatic. We recommend at least 6 hours of supplemental lighting per day. Depending on your growing facility, possibly a greenhouse or very well lit facility of another sort, this lighting period may be even shorter. Fodder can grow with no lighting at all, however, with no light, the fodder is sparse and very yellow. The more light provided, either natural or supplemental, the better the feed.
How many and how much times we have to start motor for watering in a day..?
We recommend watering for 2 minutes every 2 hours. Our standard pumps are electric, so when plugged in and set on a timer, they will turn on and off automatically, with no need to manually turn on a motor multiple times per day. If you were to do this however, watering every 2 hours would mean turning on the pump or motor 12 times each day.

No, the trays are made of PVC plastic. Water is not recycled through the system, however, a typical watering period is only 2 minutes every 2 hours. During this time, approximately 9-11 gallons of water are used, which is less water used than in an average 10 minute shower.

Hi, can you tell me that by using forage, the cows will produce more milk and the growth of the cows will be greater for the sale of them?
Research has shown that are a number of benefits to fodder feeding cattle. These benefits include reduced somatic cell count, increased digestibility, lowered pH in rumen, earlier breeding and higher conception rates, faster weight gain and easier weaning, higher milk production and butterfat content, improved hoof health and more. As you can see, there are a number of benefits to fodder feeding cattle.
What is the daily amount of kg for dairy cows and for fattening cows, and how many kg of grains do you put per m2? Do you have study proving that forage really is advantageous for animal growth and quality? thank you
We recommend feeding 2% of the animals body weight in fodder. This is because fodder is highly digestible. They will need roughage of some sort, such as hay, to keep their diet properly balanced. Fodder is not intended to be a feed replacement, just a highly nutritional feed supplement. There are some studies out there that show the nutritional make up and benefits of fodder feeding. We are also currently conducting research and studies of our own regarding fodder feeding, to help aid in its understanding. hello, I would like one last information, I enter the site and realize that having enough kind of grains for fodder, I notice that it does not have maize fodder. Why not have corn fodder, be it bad or harm animal health? Be looking at the site farm tek and have enough interesting product for fodder. Thank you
Corn/maize can be used for fodder, however it is not a popular option because it is not very cost effective. Corn has a longer germination time compared to grasses/legumes. Since the goal is to go from seed to feed in just 7 days, the shorter germination times are preferred. Again, there is nothing health concern wise that prevents corn from being used, however, it will not grow as quickly and feed with the same quality of nutrition.

Help? Pump running 24/24?
Our systems water for just 2 minutes every 2 hours. Pumps are not required to run at all hours of the day, which helps to reduce electricity needs and operating costs.
