- Hello everyone! We are almost through our LOVE IS BLIND SWEDEN journey! The reunion is this Sunday, and we will see which couples are still together after saying "I do". Sweden LIB is prove that you don’t need the messy drama to be a good show. I hope they take notes because this show was a hit. Everyone is loving it.
I just replied to a comment earlier saying that even with the lack of drama, I was still just as invested and cared just as much about Sweden than any other LIB USA. It was very wholesome. Proof that we can have good TV without manufactured drama. :)
I agree that Krissy-Li's vows were so fabulous! And I felt so protective of her! Yes, why are the Swedish contestants more mature and down to earth? What are we doing wrong with our society in the US?

I think MOST of the people (I don't want to paint everyone with the same brush) that sign up for LIB in the US are hungry for fame, unfortunately. Even in Brazil, there were a lot of cast members who got back to their "normal" jobs/careers and didn't become IG influencers. Catja put out a statement saying that would be the last time she'd be addressing the show and that she doesn't want to talk about it anymore. Seems like she wants to live a life out of the spotlight.
I feel it’s a cultural thing, also when it comes to production, what is cut out and what is in. People are less outspoken and into drama in general, speaking as a Norwegian though but we do share a very similar culture with Sweden.
I do feel they probably did the same thing here as they always do though, show things from one side.
I can’t imagine the guy katja dated saw things like us viewers did. It was so obvious she was not into him, but there must have been things we didn’t see that made him think there was a chance. I wonder the same about Sergio, is he the villain or was some of the things naturally explainable.
@mari97216 The editing can definitely be deceiving. Catja even said: "I got some similar questions. if the cutting reflects me fairly. And the cutting reflects me very shallow, and it seems like I am mean, and that you only got to see negative sides. But, as you know, you only see a small, small part of the whole experience.”
I think it was Jessica from Season 1 who said she kept trying to break up in Mexico and then they told her she needed to fulfill her contractual obligation of filming the full 10wks.

I don't think it's just about age. I'm Swedish, and most Swedes don't like drama 😆😅. It’s in our culture to be humble, not brag, etc.
Yeah I said the same thing. It’s a cultural thing, although I feel bad for pointing it out because it immediately becomes a diss towards the Americans. 🙈
Reality tv here has it’s drama but not in the same way, and that’s usually in programs where they are supposed to drink and have fun in a tropical place (paradise hotel etc).
@mari97216 Not a diss at all! American reality TV is KNOW to create drama when there isn't any. 🙊😅 There's a great show called UNREAL that follows producers of a Bachelor-style show, and you see know manipulating they can be.

Ok good, Here in Norway we sort of make fun of the american editing when watching american tv shows or series😀. Here theres 50% less commercial breaks at least, and the programs are cut to have breaks at unnatural times and they do the same summaries of what has happened in the episode or previous episode like 3 times😅. Very odd and different than they do with programs produced here.
I also saw it when going on holiday in the US that there was an insain amound of breaks and long ones at that too.
Now that would be interesting to watch, is it on youtube? :)
@@mari97216 OMG, there are SO many commercials here in America. It's pretty annoying and I have no patience for them. 😬 I usually mute it or go to the bathroom or refill my drink. 😄
Unreal was in Hulu but I just checked and it's not there anymore.😕 I see it on Prime for $1.99.

I barely watch tv anymore, it’s more youtube or Netflix that I play, so when I have to watch commercials now my patience is even less than it used to be. I might miss some new funny commercials though, but that’s all. It’s an excellent toilet or drink filler break for sure 👍😉

The point about Lukas and emilia is, that even if they had been forced to go through with the wedding, he could have told her beforehand, that its a no for him.
So she would be prepared and NOT say yes! 🤯 Yep.

I cried through the wedding episode. I thought only Krissey-Ly n Rasmus was gonna say yes so it was a pleasant surprise. I love seeing Dino in his pink bow! I have a soft spot for Krissey-Ly wiht her difficult childhood - seeing her stepfather made me 😭 I thought Emilia would say no and was disappointed she said yes.... But i guess thats just her - a risk taker! I kinda love Sergio's sister n friends .... Even his friend was worried, knowing who Sergio is.... That was very telling... However he said yes so I'm just 😑 I was surprised that Miera said yes too and hope things go well. I love the last part when Oskar's brother n father danced with Miera's family!!! That was great, left me a warm fuzzy feeling to end this wedding episode. Totally agree that the lack of drama in the swedish versionof LIB. Personally i think it was atill very entertaining with the organic progression of each couple's story.
I was so happy that Krissey finally has the family she's always dreamed of. 💓

The weddings were in early summer so probably may or june. She might have expected warmer weather when she chose
Aaah that makes sense. Even in June it's cold? 🥶 I really wanna visit Sweden but during warm months. Will have to plan accordingly. 😊
