Clamping your heatgun to the bench has got to be the greatest tool hack I've come across in a very, very long time!
Well done, Sir! Thank you for this nugget of knowledge.

better than having a running heat gun in places is should not be lol.

    • @erebosthemogoreg

@@StiltbeastStudiosi am definitely guilty of being a little dangerous with the heat gun by dropping it on the floor 😅... And sitting on hot glue guns that I didn't notice falling off onto the seat and being like... "Where'd it go?" *Sits* "OHHH THAT'S WHERE IT WENT." 😐😳😵‍💫 Now though I don't have to worry about tripping the cords getting a surebonder hot glue gun after I was introduced to this. I hadn't had that happen to me since then so far. Cause no CORD TO accidentally knock things off tables and workspaces. So... I'm going to use a clamp next time to keep my heat gun in place. Cause I'm a clumsy mess!

This will have saved me so much more money. I am a fursuit and costume maker who is also crazy about the idea of "Every year, every day and every minute and second is Halloween and you cannot change my mind." I want to be someone to make a haunt cause there's so little people in my area of up to 1k population... Generally just 600 people cause a village is practically nothing compared to a city and supplies are VERY LIMITED... I have literally spents thousands in materials over time and I didn't think to use pool noodles. If only I had known this years ago, I would've been working much faster. But I guess it's better than never discovering this!

I use pool noodles for all sorts of stuff, (I'm a costumer) and heat guns all the time, I've even used heat guns to shrink wrap plastic "skins" on noodle stuff, WHY did I not think of this? So simple, yet soooooo useful! And the clamping idea...clamp the gun. YES! I need to do that. But I need to do that outside, so I don't die... I'm gonna save so much time and hot glue. Thanks so much!

@@StiltbeastStudios Anything that saves time or hot glue makes me happy, both together is delightful. It always seems such a waste to use hot glue for just sticking things together instead of making things out of it. I mean, it is great for sticking together stuff, but it is a great material on it's own.
