Well a calzone is basically a slice of pizza with double the crust and half the toppings because it will spill out if you use too much. It’s a shittier version of pizza. It’s like a sandwich but I add 2 extra pieces of bread.

@Leon Russell I’ve made calzones and other stuffed food items. When you make them you can’t over fill them because they will burst and the toppings will spill out. This is the limit of an enclosed, baked food item. Compare this to a pizza where you can put extra cheese and as many toppings as you want.
And salads. They also hate salads
For me, the food poisoning scene is the equivalent of the Office's fire alarm scene.

Ben opening that pizza box and seeing calzones is the most wholesome thing I've even seen in my life.
Not sure if anyone else saw it but when they're testing menu options for Ben, on the whiteboard, under the first option with the calzone, Ron had commented "bad meat". Of course, later on they've all had food poisoning from the calzone.

I think the first calzone I ever had was at Sabarro's in the mall. This was years ago and I thought they were pretty damn good. Thinking on it now I think those were the only ones I ever had, 3 or 4 times at that one Sabarro where I was living at the time, none before, and none since.
