This content is really nice! My wife and I are planning to move back to Japan, and what you show in your video is why! Can't get enough of Japanese life! Thank you for sharing.
As a tourist back in 2023, Osaka was my favorite city to visit! The food, Dontonbori, and general vibes were awesome. Found some of my best vinyl records there. Shout-out to Maru Ka Batsu!
I'm Japanese, but thank you for choosing to live here! The weather is comfortable now, but around December it suddenly becomes cold and dry. It's especially cold and dry from January to February 😆 Do you dry your laundry in your bedroom and turn on the air conditioner? I'm a person who likes oil heaters (electricity bills 😅) with the warmth of the sun! Also, the "electric blanket" is cheap and the electricity bill is cheap and warm, but it makes it impossible to get out of the futon😆✨ Enjoy Japan to the fullest! ! At the end of the year, there will be Toshikoshi Soba, Oshiruko, and more! ! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great view you had there in Osaka. Cool photos, too! Unfortunately we won't see the new view until you move again 🙂 And as that's very stressful, that's hopefully not very soon! Congrats on your new home and お疲れ様!
i like your content and this is not against you (because you only haggle by asking for quotes), but the people you mentioned that are inviting different moving companies. imagine you would order pizza from two different companies and once both show up you tell them that you will take the one that offers theirs cheaper to you. or odering two different craftsman to come to you and repair something. both preparing to do the work and make the effort of driving all the way to you and then you tell them to go home again if they don't underprice each other. but i understand that it's ok to do it in japan, because japanese people are polite and will eventuelly put up with it. and then they wonder why japanese people don't like them.
Exactly I keep checking if Hannah uploaded anything every couple of weeks and curse her for forgetting about us but this time algorithm was the culprit.
I just found out yesterday that I gotta move in 2 1/2 months, and this video helped reminded me of the dread I'm going have to deal with moving. My God, do I hate it >.
I'll add to the other comments encouraging more vlog style content. Love it. Love it. LOVE it. Congrats on the move! And also, you and Emma (TokiDokiTraveller) are Ice Cream Lamp Twinsies (I think she even used the same moving company for her recent move into Tokyo)! And also also, HI CHRIS! Still a cutie as ever.
props for moving hannah before osaka got too deep under ya skin. it's so nice to see a vid again and we're looking forward to the regular weekly uploads that you mentioned (to our faces i may add), that your loyal loving fans enjoy watching so much. oh yes..... i went there. 😉
I had to move to Tokyo to for work this year 2024. After spending 28 years in Kansai. Living in Bunkyo-ku and Working in Kanda. My family is back in Kobe.
3:12 This made my day! lol the struggle is real! lol 7:17 I feel that! Sizzler used to be sooo much more affordable back in the day over here but the price just isn't worth it these days.
oof, i feel you-- moving is one of the biggest pains there is 😵 the new place looks great, tho! i love the concrete/faux concrete facade, gives it a bit of a loft vibe. and that's quite a large space for Tokyo, damn! looking forward to new vids, but take it on your own pace of course ☺ these vloggy ones are equally as fun and spice it up a bit (although i get a lot of therapeutic mileage out of the "light pop playing over sweeping drone footage of glorious mountainscapes" hahaha)
Thank youuu! Yes moving is a pain but I’m in love with my new place. The layout feels so spacious! Light pop playing over sweeping drone footage is coming up soon btw 😉 haha
I caught a glimpse of Osaka Dome from your balcony, and remembered seeing the Red Hot Chili Peppers there in 2007. Osaka really is the best for living! 😃
Yeee, no more unnecessary train rides! 🥳 Also holy moly, watching Chris passing that truck in that heavy rain made me nervous. But then I remembered he's a certified badass, so what am I worrying about? 😬
Awesome vlog, I've been to Japan many times and I'm pretty jealous! Also - that white rug will get dirty again and I'm not sure what a carpet cleaner like that runs in Japan, but I bought a similar one here in the states made by Bissel for like $100. May make more sense, especially if you spill something on it! Random advice I know!
I'm soon going to Osaka for a month (want to test if it's a good city for long term), which district would you recommend? Family friendly would be good^^ anyhow, nice video and info!
I hope you guys have settled in nicely by now! I remember Bentencho station from trips to the Osaka aquarium. Yes we imagined it was Ben 10-cho.... I feel for you and all those marketplace dealings, they are so stupid down here in Perth too
RUclips tured off the notifications for your channel. I just saw the more recent video posted, went to video list and saw there was another new one! WE ARE STILL HERE!! ♥️
The wood floors look like my mom's kitchen floor (we're definitely not in Japan haha) and she's forever mad that she can't get the floor truly clean. 🤣Congrats to you and Chris on the move!
Girl! Tell me about it. I had people from the Marketplace asking me to deliver the items to them on the day of, despite stating on my post that I couldn’t deliver. Or just the other week, someone was picking up an old office chair for FREE and had to audacity to ask me to drive him home lol when I told him I don’t drive, he asked me to tell my husband to drive him home like whuuut? Some people just straight up ghost me after canceling some plans for them! It’s difficult out here.
I laugh that you say 180,000 for the move is affordable (that's like a years saving for a second year eikaiwa or ALT English teacher!) but sizzler was not. Granted I've only been to sizzler twice.
Keen to know why we can't see your view out the windows...hmmm you can see a fabulous landmark ? The apartment looks great...I also enjoy casual content, all the best settling in :)
I just curious about the "flakey" people on facebook market place, were they Japanese or foreign, or do you know? Where I live there's a moving company that sells you boxes, then when you've finished with will buy them back, undamaged one of course, at a reduced rate.
If you have free stuff, the best way to get rid of it is by putting it out on the street with a sign that says $50 and put a random phone number implying you expect them to contact you to pay. It will be gone in 20 minutes. The irony is Japan may be the only country in the world where it wouldn't work.
Congratulations on doing another big step! It's never easy and moving is so stressful. I lived in Yokohama in 2008 and I miss the times when I went into Tokyo for a daytrip. There was so much to see. So much has changed there now and I hope you're having a fabulous time. I'd be interested what the "finding a flat" situation was like because I have seen many videos of foreigners struggling to find an estate agency or rental company that rents to foreigners.
Not sure if this is worldwide but eBay no longer has any fees for selling. So maybe give that a try if you’re having bad luck on Facebook. I have a lot less issues with people on eBay. Great vid as always.
Weird boxes. I'm guessing everything is labeled, but the characters are so small I don't see how you can differentiate "kitchen," from, "bathroom," at anything further than a few steps away.
Love the new place - especially the exposed concrete walls! When you said you were moving to Tokyo I immediately wondered about the Jeep parking (troopy owner!😉👍) Best wishes. And wow so cheap to pack and move!!!
Aloha H, Congrats on the move. My misses really wants one of those ice cream cones and in my last three trips we have hunted for them but have been unsuccessful. Please share where I can buy one for here. I know the shipping to Hawaii from Japan will crush my sole but anything for happy life 😂😂😂😂 Mahalo 🤙🏽
I love that video style from time to time. It's heaps of fun to watch. Throw in a "casual" video more often :)
I for one would definitely love more of this casual vlog content.
This content is really nice! My wife and I are planning to move back to Japan, and what you show in your video is why! Can't get enough of Japanese life! Thank you for sharing.
Hannah! Long time viewer here. Love to see the so many house moving over the years.
Haha there has been SO many 😆
Loved this type of content, all the best for your new life in Tokyo 🍀
Glad to hear the casual vlog has a space on my channel still!
As a tourist back in 2023, Osaka was my favorite city to visit! The food, Dontonbori, and general vibes were awesome. Found some of my best vinyl records there. Shout-out to Maru Ka Batsu!
The last time I moved, it took months just to clear all the boxes so good on you! Wishing you all the best on your Tokyo move! 😊

I´m so happy for see you again with new contents, a big hug for all.
Exciting times ahead! Congratulations on the move! These had to be the most disgustingly adorable moving boxes I have seen haha, just awesome.
Hahaha I know! We loved the Pandas also 😄
So happy for you, Hannah :) I'm sure you'll have a blast at Tokyo.
Great view you had there in Osaka. Cool photos, too!
Unfortunately we won't see the new view until you move again 🙂
And as that's very stressful, that's hopefully not very soon!

Thank you for having proper subtitles in your videos! ❤
The high fives after teamwork are so wholesome. I'm definitely making that a thing in the future.
Nice to see you posting again! And yes, moving is pretty much the worst.
She back! (And traumatised)
This is so much better than the "10 things to eat in tokyo" videos. Please keep doing this kind of content :)
Glad to see everything worked out great and that you are settled in. Looking forward to your next vids 🙂
字幕ありがとうございます。
11:30 in USA we just bring rugs to the self serve car wash and blast them with soapy water and power wash them
you look so happy! Wishing you lots of joy and great memories in your new home!
That place looks so nice! Moving sucks, glad you're getting settled!
Anyone else find that the YT algorithm buried this video for some reason? I only realised she had a new video out because of her IG story…?
It just came out so perhaps the algorithm hadn't refreshed.
😮
Nope I have it big and suggested on my homepage
You need to turn noti on my friend

Oh I’m so glad! 😌 Maybe I just need to care a little less sometimes haha
This soooo Good Hannah! Super happy for you! We Love you (DaJuan and Alice)!!
Omg THE DaJuan and Alice? I miss you two so much! I hope life is treating you well 🥰
props for moving hannah before osaka got too deep under ya skin.

Dang wish I knew I could’ve let u borrow my carpet cleaner machine 😢.
Also I hope I get an office tour soon 😍😍
glad to see you uploading again!

Congratulations on the move! I am really looking forward to your new videos~
Love casual vlogs like this!
Yes! More casual videos!
Congratulations on the move!
Thanks for the Video.
Whish you nothing but the best in your new Appartement and future Endeavours.
3:11-3:20 😂😂😂 I love your editing 😂
写真撮って下さりありがとうございました!😊
Congrats! The new apartment looks good. ❤
Congratulations on your new place 👏. I hope that you'll both be happy there ☺️🫶

The whole drive in the rain was making me nervous (but much less nervous than I’d be if I was driving lol)
@@CurrentlyHannah "I survived Waterworld, I will survive this torrential rain" 🥸
Hahaha true!
Yay a new Hannah video. I'm going to go grab some chips & coke to enjoy this on the big screen.
Chris Broad said similar things about moving back to Tokyo. Seems to be more convenient for creatives ❤
Hannah pls put the song details like those vlog u had last year...... currently hannah background music is always ❤❤❤❤❤
Love from indonesia

Loved this one Hannah. :) So glad you guys are settled in. :)
Thank you Alison! Very exciting 😁
ADOはドイツメーカーです。最高にかっこいい自転車ですね。東京へようこそ!
Thanks for sharing the views and your favourite photos @ 5:01.

Hahahah gosh I’m so sorry! The audacity people have on Facebook is INSANE to me 😂
Really enjoy your vlog style videos :)
Hey there is a reason most RUclipsrs in the US live in LA or Austin. Gotta go where the work is
+5 to the separate office/apartment situation!!
I am extremely sad ado ebike does not ship to Australia because that product looks amazing! Seriously I ran to order it ;(
I laugh that you say 180,000 for the move is affordable (that's like a years saving for a second year eikaiwa or ALT English teacher!) but sizzler was not. Granted I've only been to sizzler twice.

Well it doesn’t have to be a famous landmark for someone to figure out where people live 😅 You should check out that geo guesser here on RUclips haha
@@CurrentlyHannah ahhh fair enough, I was just wondering if you were saving it for a "view" reveal video haha my mistake 🤪
i am sure the Tokyo locals are thrilled
FRIENDS! WELCOME! 🎉
Love ending with the ice cream lamp! Where did you find one?
On Mercari! Such a great find! Haha
I still love you hanna
Can relate so hard regarding the Facebook marketplace people
Keen to see some running vlogs in Tokyo!
I had a really nice fridge and oven that I tried to get rid of and nobody wanted it. Couldn't even give it away.
Moving reveals to us that sometimes the things we own, end up owning us.
Did you ever come across the dance group Avantgardey while in Osaka?
4:12 My new quote : It looks like unorganized chaos to the untrained eye, but i know where things are.
Ever tried offloading any of your unwanted goods hat hardoff or off house if you don’t want to deal with FB marketplace
I saw this video on the sidebar several times before I noticed it was not a Kelly Stamps video.
I liked this kinda vlog. ❤
Do you think that eventually would buy a home and where is the ideal place to buy for you?
What did you do with your Jeep?
We took it with us and eventually found a parking space for it 😄
How much is your rent in your old place in Osaka?
It was 127,000! Very affordable.
I love your videos.😊
Eating at Sizzler must feel a little weird given they have been gone from Australia since 2020,
Tokyo is so awesome, you'll love living there.
Having fun so far! It’s very overwhelming though 😅
How did you manage to house hunt to Tokyo from Osaka?
We took a 4 day trip to Tokyo and set the ambitious goal of finding a place before leaving and luckily we did! We got so lucky!
hey do you need a license plate or something to ride an ebike in japan or something? Or is it not enforced?
No this isn’t fully electric, just electric assisted so you don’t need a license.
I just curious about the "flakey" people on facebook market place, were they Japanese or foreign, or do you know? Where I live there's a moving company that sells you boxes, then when you've finished with will buy them back, undamaged one of course, at a reduced rate.

I guess we just looked closely then.
welcome to Tokyo!!!!!
Hello Hannah
Your place looks huge for a place in Tokyo. That place must be expensive to rent 😅
All explained in my next video! It’s actually smaller than our Osaka place but it has a better layout making it feel very spacious 😄
Love the new place - especially the exposed concrete walls! When you said you were moving to Tokyo I immediately wondered about the Jeep parking (troopy owner!😉👍) Best wishes. And wow so cheap to pack and move!!!
Looks so fun to ride your bike in Tokyo ❤
東京での生活を楽しんでください!
Aloha H,
Congrats on the move.

Mahalo 🤙🏽
I just bought this one second hand on a store called Mercari but there’s no guarantee there’ll be another one up at the moment. Worth a look though!
A very successful Chris removal for that thumbnail haha
Hahaha we got there in the end! Just had to endure some nightmares first lol
Miss you guys and no this good experience video Hannah keep up the good job don’t over do it now you hear hope you guys enjoying new place..😉
Yeaaaah welcome to Tokyo! It’s such a wonderful hub to live in 😊
Definitely loving how international and happening it all is!

Guy thing. Have to get the TV set up first.
We are coming to Tokyo in May. Been looking back at your vlogs for ideas.
