@@thepracticalcamper6326 went to a you pick salvage yard and got one off a wrecked expedition. I didn’t bring a star tool big enough to remove the seat. I was able to get the cushion off with out taking the seat out. When I got it home and put it in my truck I removed the seat to install. Agreed, it was easier to put on with the seat removed

They have held up really well! I actually sold the car to a neighbor and still see it often but the seat looks great!

Probably, BUT would be MUCH slower and probably not as easy to smooth out
