That blue checkered shirt of Austin’s; Seen more shows than all of us. Going miss this guy (and that shirt) something fierce. Peace be upon you, brother.
Man... I got into bluegrass after Jeff's passing and never really knew too much about him. His how essence just flows with the music. He is super in tune with the energy behind his singing and the rhythm. So PLUGGED IN! Wish I could have enjoyed seeing him live, I saw Yonder Mountain without him and it was certainly not the same as the old recordings. Thanks for the influence and inspiration you provided to the new era of Bluegrass!
Saw the ball back in April. Promised myself I will not miss another one when they come to my region. Can't wait to see them in September! Outstanding stuff!!!!
Jerry's career was based on a bunch of deadheads going on tour with them listening to the same songs over and over in different towns.Hearing it once again will probably not bother him.
Are you kidding, I was blessed to attended several of The Grateful Ball shows over the years. The spirit was strong there. I think Jerry would have dug it, if he was still around.
I miss Jeff.
Thank you for the memory.

I bet Jerry Garcia would be like, "What, ya guys got nothing better to do than play old cover tunes?"

and they would say thats not all we do!!

Are you really really dumb? Half the songs in the deads lineup were covers
You mean the guy who also played a lot of old cover tunes?
